George Washington vs. George Bush

freeople.com -- The State of the Union Address is our only constitutionally-mandated piece of political theater. Every year, the President delivers an address in writing or in person to Congress. Hindsight is Always 20/20 - R. Luke DuBois

The day the Republican Convention was 'canceled' due to weather, I spent some time at the Frederick R. Weisman Art Museum at the University of Minnesota.

Interestingly enough, there was an art exhibit on display highlighting the words that presidents most frequently used in their State of Union speeches. The more frequently a word was used, the larger the word was printed.

The beauty of the art is that the words speak for themselves;

George Washington

George Bush

Coincidently, another display consisted of actual World War II propaganda:

"We shall soon have our Storm Troopers in America" - Hitler

I suppose that one came true after all, as witnessed right there at the Republican Convention...
