U.S. Fed Destined To Become World's Largest Auto Dealership

Not content with merely throwing money at the automakers, the Fed has new plans to become the world's largest auto dealership. Details of the plan were buried in this announcement: Fed Opens TALF Loans to All Borrowers, Extends Term .

The Federal Reserve revised its $200 billion program aimed at reviving credit to consumers and small businesses, extending the term of loans to three years from one year.

Under the Term Asset-Backed Securities Loan Facility, or TALF, the Fed will also loan to all eligible borrowers rather than through an auction process, the central bank said today in a statement in Washington. The change is designed “to provide more certain investor access,” the Fed said.

The central bank pledged Dec. 16 to “employ all available tools” to restore economic growth, including the TALF and other emergency lending. The Fed has already expanded its balance sheet to a record $2.3 trillion to stem the worst credit crisis in seven decades.

Under the TALF, the Fed will lend to holders of AAA-rated asset-backed securities backed by “newly and recently originated” loans. Those loans include education, car and credit-card loans, and borrowing guaranteed by the Small Business Administration. The Fed intends to have the TALF running by February.

The Fed said that it would accept securitized auto credits, including leases and auto dealer floor plan loans.

Pope Ponzi

Thankfully Charles Ponzi never had a printing press, for he would have been able to continue his charade much longer if he had. Witness our government's fresh run of crisp bills hot off the press, with a serial numbers that begins with "TALF" and are marked 2009.

How many fake bills will have to come into circulation for people to realize that they are being taken?

Here is a financial ponzi scheme, fiat money, that has fellow humans all competing in a system that has mass deception at its core. This fraud has been utilized for centuries across the globe. Yet somehow the lifespan and memory of a man, perhaps human nature itself, and a rapidly expanding population have conspired to allow such a mechanism to be resurrected again and again.

Used as it is in the United States, fiat money is so evil it that it allows parents to steal from their helpless children, sometimes even before they are born. Now we are stealing from our grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and probably those of our neighbors. All this so we can consume production of people from across the world while we produce very little of value. People in places like China are those paying the highest price for this fraud, and have to be enslaved to their governments and repressed in order for it to continue.

Perhaps it would have been better if the world's major religions had as a core belief that "one shall not use fiat money, but only gold" -- How different and advanced a world would we live in?

Auto Bailout Dead End

And Then There was also this article on auto loans.....

"If the federal government bails out the Big Three, who's going to buy their cars? Like those homeowners around the country who have found they owe more money than their homes are worth, millions of Americans are similarly underwater on their car loans. That debt burden will make it virtually impossible for millions of potential consumers to buy a car for years to come. This factor will severely blunt any good that a cash infusion might do for Detroit. For this, the auto industry has no one to blame but itself."

"Car dealers played a central role in creating the current mess. As franchisees of the manufacturers, car dealers don't make much money actually selling cars. The markups are pretty slim, and in recent years, Detroit has squeezed their dealerships for more and more profits. In the old days, car dealers would come up with creative ways to compensate for the small margins, such as rolling back odometers to sell cars for more than they were worth. But after Congress cracked down on the practice, dealers (and manufacturers, too) found a better way to pump up their bottom lines: selling financing.

Dealers encourage customers to trade in a car that isn't worth the amount of their current loan by offering to roll the old loan into the new one, thus inflating the principal and making the loan more lucrative for the lender. That's how people can end up owing $40,000 on a Ford Focus.

Back in 2003, Forbes magazine observed that GM was better described as a bank that happens to make cars than as an automaker. Loan fraud is so widespread in the auto industry that even dealerships owned by a US congressman have been accused of engaging in it. Before coming to Congress, Rep. Vern Buchanan (R-Fla.) was one of the biggest car dealers in his state. (He has recently started selling off some of his dealerships.) This summer, he was hit with multiple lawsuits filed by former employees alleging that his dealerships routinely engaged in auto fraud.

The driving force behind all of these loan shenanigans is Wall Street. The automakers' finance arms (and banks, too) have made a fortune by packaging the inflated loans made by their dealerships and selling them as securities. It's the same scheme that ultimately brought down the subprime mortgage industry. And just like the mortgage lenders, the automakers and their finance arms must have been well aware that the loans generated by their own dealers were frequently bad ones."

Part of the agenda.

State ownership of everything.

"If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around them will deprive the people of all property until their children wake up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered."

That means the quality

will be worse than before. The Soviet Union had a state run car company called Lada, Better known as Lada Junk.
