Santa Claus Disables Redlight Cameras! HO-HO-HO!

TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) _ A group of Santa impersonators are on the naughty list of Arizona law enforcement officials.
A YouTube video posted Monday shows four people dressed as Kris Kringle, white beards and red hats included, covering three speed and red light enforcement cameras in Tempe.
Two are covered with boxes - one decorated with Christmas wrap - and the third is blocked with what appears to be a red sheet.
The Jackson 5's ``Santa Claus is coming to town'' plays during the more than two-minute video.
At the end is a message that reads:
``Ho Ho Ho! Death to the surveillance state! Free movement for all people!''
The group that posted the video also wrote ``lumps of coal to all of those who make it their business to watch and control.''

I live in a very rural area where there is only 1 traffic light located in the town that is the county seat. They do not have a camera on this light as of yet but I'll be on the look out!

I would never condone this type of civil disobedience here in the good ole free USSA, but not to fear, cause big brother is backed by big government! So what do officials plan to do you ask? Well place cameras to watch the cameras of course!

When will they run out of space and money placing cameras to watch the cameras that are watching the cameras?
The cameras are noted locally for safety reasons, even though studies show that there is a definite increase in rear end collisions caused by motorists who try and stop after almost speeding through a yellow light.
But do not forget what you are up against in the U.S. fighting these cameras. Here is a link to a paper in the state with comments from the public. Take note of those that cheer their surveillance blindly, and you will see what a fight for liberty we actually have. I just wish for these individuals, they would have had an opportunity at a real education, as you will get a feel for the Southern aspect of things after reading many comments about how the cameras save lives and so on. They also cheer the camera catching 7,000 red light runners in a year, but later it was discovered that the yellow light time had been reduced by 3 seconds to bump up profits. Interesting the level of ignorance in the public today.

and my wife (God Bless her) just got her second Extortion Notice , err...speeding ticket, from the same goddamn camera, in 2 weeks..$180 a pop, mind you
However, it IS for my safety, so that allows me to sleep at night- knowing Big Brother is there to protect me, since I obviously can't do it myself.

this is why I moved away from phoenix! i just went back there last month and I felt like I was being watched everywhere and I wasn't even speeding. I passed at least 5 cameras in a 10 mile stretch of highway (the ones I saw)
