Stop the CON-CON! Action needed now to protect the Constitution!

CON-CON equals Constitutional Convention where, if ratified by 34 states, there will be an opportunity to rewrite a constitution. 32 states have already ratified this action. This is NOT good.
Continental Congress is a plan formulated by We the People foundation.
Recently, WTP Chairman Bob Schulz, announced to a gathering of Patriots in Boston that the Foundation was preparing to organize a national meeting of delegates from each of the fifty states.
The purpose of the National Congress will be much the same as that modeled by our Founders: a limited number of chosen representatives of the People gathered together to freely and openly discuss the mounting violations of the Constitution and to decide on a course of action to confront the usurpers.
Modeled after the very process of momentous deliberation taken by our Founders, representatives of the People will assemble once again in Philadelphia to lay claim to, and practically exercise, the Natural Rights of Popular Sovereignty and Self-Governance as articulated in our Declaration of Independence and guaranteed by the Constitution.

I just feel that if free thinkers put their heads together, then maybe something positive will come of it, if only to discuss what one can do to survive what must surely be coming. This whole thread has become so tangential that understanding the original premise is nearly lost.
What these various meetings hope to accomplish is nothing more than continuing discussions on what can be done to re-establish a country we want to have. If we are truly too far gone to undo what has been created during the previous century, then we must at least prepare ourselves for our very survival in the future. If you can suggest a better forum to discuss our current options, please help us. Thanks.

No, I have not received any updated emails from "We the People"
in several days. The previous posts have indicated meetings are starting around the country. We need people to start conversations with like-minded freedom loving patriots and try to attend those meetings previously listed. See M. Lawson's post somewhere in the middle of this thread. I will post again when I receive further information from Bob Schulz' group. Everyone, please keep your eyes and ears open for info. Thanks.

So, the Washington State Ron Paul delegates still have a forum for keeping in contact with each other and moving the goals of liberty and restoration of the Constitution forward. It's very active and there are great people there. A week ago I posted about this (the WTP foundation call for Continental Congress 2009) on the group board for review of my fellow delegates and I was soundly dismissed as not using critical thinking skills and naive, by someone that purportedly knows Devvy Kidd and Bob Schultz personally. Supposedly, there is something wrong with Bob Schultz and the WTP foundation, and Devvy Kidd even now rejects them, but I can't substantiate or figure out what it is after many exhaustive internet searches, and no one will disclose it to me, other than to say "we already discussed this", and "see Devvy Kidds articles on www.newswithviews.com". I searched, and didn't find anything negative. I REALLY like her articles!, but I didn't find anything by her downing on Bob Schultz or WTP foundation.
If you know of some dirt, or bad thing about WTP foundation or Bob Schultz, please let me know so I can make an informed decision for myself. Attn: Mike Lawson: I thought in a prior post you may have implied something along these lines, unsure. I may have misunderstood. Please reply if there is something to this, and thank you very much. My hope is that this is all a bunch of bunk, because I like the idea of a continental congress, but not the idea of an article 5 convention.

PS, I 1st saw Mr. Schultz in America: Freedom to Fascism, where/when I 1st saw Ron Paul, and I very much like his idea of holding or government accountable to the "redress of grievances" clause of the 1st Amendment. I only donated money once, it was $20 bucks, and I would not be opposed to doing so again, unless there really was some problem.

Will you help me to understand why this is happening? I realize I may have offended some people, is that why the comments are scrambling and also you said my messages were "crap" and badly formatted with lots of quotation marks and Biblical quotes. I have never used the first Bible quote nor used but one quotation mark. Would you or someone just tell me what is happening here? Please.

I know that's not at all what you are doing, but people have short attention spans when dealing with email, so explicit clarification on this point might be useful. I'm often guilty of just lightly skimming the mountain of email I receive each day. To my embarrassment, when I first opened your message, though I am very familiar with your plan, even I briefly thought you were talking about a Constitutional Convention. Following through on Katherine's suggestion, we provide the following clarification.
A Continental Congress is not the same as a Constitutional Convention (i.e., a "con-con"). The Founders conducted a Continental Congress from 1774-1776. They subsequently conducted a Constitutional Convention in 1787 which resulted in the Constitution we (allegedly) enjoy today.
The Continental Congress was called in 1774 so that a limited number of representatives from each of the 13 colonies could get together to discuss the common Grievances they had against the Government of their day, and to develop strategies that could be employed to Redress those Grievances. The Founders did not originally gather for the purpose of declaring their independence, although ultimately that was the course of action they eventually settled upon.
Continental Congress 2009 is being called for corresponding reasons.
WTP is absolutely opposed to a second Constitutional Convention.
Again, to be clear -- Continental Congress 2009 is NOT to discuss amendments to our present Constitution, but to decide how best to protect, preserve and defend the Constitution that now exists.
The choice is ours. We can either support the Continental Congress 2009, or some other plan to get our government back under the control of the People and our existing Constitution, or do nothing but complain as the usurpers continue to abuse the limited powers granted by the People, ignoring the letter and spirit of our founding documents. Continental Congress 2009 may be one of our final opportunities to reverse the fortunes of our Republic and our decaying Liberties before they are irretrievably lost.
