Saul Anuzis, the head of the Michigan Republican party and the man who infamously tried to ban Ron Paul from further Republican primary debates in May of 2007, is now running for the national chairmanship of the Republican Party.

"The Next Right", a right wing blog, is running a poll on all the canidates for the RNC chair.

The Next Right (poll at bottom)

Is Saul Anuzis Acceptable as RNC Chair?

Here is the link to vote: http://www.nolanchart.com/article5715.html

Let's give Saul a little reminder that we Paulites are still alive and well. Vote and pass it on.

I remember him for a host of reasons...

Watch out, folks, Anuzis is gaining some traction in the GOP Chairman's race. Now regarded as "everybody's second choice," he is set up to be a late ballot consensus winner. That's right, the compromise.

For some reason, RNC members think they are getting something new with this guy. Inclusiveness, new policies and new strategies? I don't think so. Anyone that has dealt with the MIGOP during Saul's term knows that the Lansing crew will pick right up where the current country-clubbers leave off.

I am was hoping to feel better about the party come February. I no longer think that's possible.

This by any chance wouldn't

This by any chance wouldn't be Saul4Paul would it?

Any old timers around here remember Saul?

Yes,

I remember him.

From a Michigander

This guy is a total neocon creep. We must prevent him from gaining power. He was not as popular as one would think in Michigan. Remember....John McCain even pulled up his tent stakes in MI long before the election and wrote it off as a total loss.

This was all under Sal Anuzis's watch. I am glad he is moving on but would really be frustrated if he is nominated on a national stage.

Actually, on second thought....it might be a good thing. He will actually weaken and divide the Party which could open the door to a coup de tah
