timesonline.co.uk — Israel’s Government has thrown its weight behind efforts by supporters to counter what it believes to be negative bias and a tide of pro-Arab propaganda. The Foreign Ministry has ordered trainee diplomats to track websites and chatrooms so that networks of US and European groups with hundreds of thousands of Jewish activists can place supportive messages.

In the past week nearly 5,000 members of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) have downloaded special “megaphone” software that alerts them to anti-Israeli chatrooms or internet polls to enable them to post contrary viewpoints. A student team in Jerusalem combs the web in a host of different languages to flag the sites so that those who have signed up can influence an opinion survey or the course of a debate.

Tried to post three times on another related thread, only to have all three removed, because I voiced my opinion. I mean if you want to back a group, go right ahead, but at least make sure you are backing the RIGHT group. Not someone who claims to be something they are not. That's true, they said Al queda was powerful, That there were tonnes of deep cover al queda agents, that al queda had Nukes, on and on.

And then they said that the economy would tank without the bailout, America would colapse if GM went under, and I'm sure there is more to come.

BUT - Why does it always have to come back to 911 with so many people here ?

For the sake of argument, let's just say that you are correct, that some factions within the government let 911 happen, and even increased the impact. Then created a nearly religious myth around the ficticious story.

How would you regain control from the ones that created this myth ? Would you set yourself up as a heretic, like Jesus, or scream the truth from the wilderness like John the baptist ? Nope, we all know what happened to them - and the same (in a political sense) will happen to you.

If you want to win politically, you cannot directly challenge people's myths - this only pisses them off, you have to work at the edges, You need to consider how and why they hold the strong beliefs that they do, and be willing to start from common ground.

Most of all, you need credibility, and identifying yourself as being far from the mainstream will not give you the credibility you need to convince anyone of anything. google thought reform, and exit counseling for some better ideas.

In reality, the concept of 'mainstream' is simply a psychological mode of control that is self-reinforcing. It is meant to limit 'acceptable opinion' and shut down free and rational debate.

Case in point: people who simply question the government's official religious 9/11 Myth are labeled with the pejorative "conspiracy theorist" in the 'mainstream' (and treated heretically) while the official story is never identified as meeting the standard for "conspiracy theory". Therefore I ask: how does anyone discern truth (regardless of the category) but through asking questions, through the clinical, dispassionate interrogation of relevant, self-consistent facts, observable, measurable, and empirical evidence and historical example?

Clearly, 'mainstream' is simply a control paradigm. Obviously, you have given it your full endorsement. I'll have you to thank when my kids someday do a report on the events of 11 September 2001 and are labeled as kooky conspiracy theorists by their teacher for even attempting to understand the relevant facts.

You have to think outside the box if you want liberty to succeed in this country and relying solely on the old-stream media paradigm will not facilitate that.

Clearly, carrying signs, and yelling about the "inside Job" hasn't worked.

So just take a close look at what you are doing, and how people are reacting.

The idea of Mainstream is a controlling concept, and it works, too. So why constantly try to swim upstream ? FInd people that have alot of agreement, make friends, try not to piss them off, and slowly change them.

Hardly - Look at the election results. How many votes did Ron Paul get ? - Where are your numbers ?

The fact is, that you can encourage people to think about important issues, and help them to change their views - that's why we have teachers and mentors.

My point is, your approach fails miserably every time. I think you like being on the outside of society, pretending you have the absolute truth, and looking down on those that have differing opinions. If this floats your boat, fine, but don't act like it is a viable political strategy. If anything, it drives a wedge between you and the majority of people.

My "numbers" are in the same place in the 'mainstream' media that have taken seriously the 70% of the questions posed by the 9/11 Commission Family Steering Committee that went unanswered by the Zelikow Commission—COMPLETELY IGNORED.

My approach has worked. You cannot presume to know my personal experiences. I have converted several people to libertarianism by shocking their system with the truth about the events of 11 September 2001. I have fomented and bred much discontent and distrust of the illegitimate government in Washington, D.C. (much of which I probably will never become fully aware of) —and that has lent itself well to promoting libertarianism.
