Happy New Year Everyone! Predictions 2009

Good riddance to 2008, we'll remember you well. And a big, happy welcome to 2009!

What are your plans for the evening and the year ahead? This year the Daily Paul turns two years old. Any predictions for the year ahead?

Have a safe and happy holiday everyone, and thank you for making this so much fun.

Oops, sorry

Not trying to be all that or whatever. I just prefer to do what I want without anyone telling me what's good for me. I just happen to come from a gene pool of people who do whatever they want with their bodies and never ever got sick. Just dumb luck.

It's 95 degrees and sticky in 2009.

Other than that, it looks promising.

Happy New Year to All! As I look back on this past year I am most thankful in finding all of you here! Just to know that you are all in this world and are awake has given me such happiness, hope, strength and resolve. We have so much to overcome ..it is such a heartbreaking reality that I could not face this without knowing there are so many beautiful, intelligent, enlightening, caring and thoughtful souls such as all of you! I know that I am never alone and I carry all of you in my heart wherever I go! Thank you for being here everyone! And thank you so much Michael, for this community!

White Rose

In the storm
Stands the white rose
tumultuous waves
of destruction abound her

Yet tall is the white rose
strong in the face
Of the sensed doom around her
And she does not bow down

Pure is the white rose
In the compost earth
growing eternal strength
in the nights that so hurt

I see not the white rose
She is so far away
But I long to protect her
But only the words can I say

So I send her my words
And my poets heart
To help her when
there is hope to see her through

Be Strong little flower
Your heart will guide true
And as long as you want
I will always talk to you

"I think we are living in a world of lies: lies that don't even know they are lies, because they are the children and grandchildren of lies." ~ Chris Floyd

Ron Paul will become one of the most respected

people in Washington in 2009 as the economy reacts just as he said it would. His name will be a household word. However, the leadership will reject his ideas to the bitter end, clinging to their frenzied seat-of-the-pants effort to try to right the sinking ship with ultra-Keynesian measures.

I figured

this post would be sensored...bye bye to stinking censorship places like this where you cannot write your thoughts ...Even on th DP oh well I figured it would come to this place sooner or later....Freedom of Speech right?

Grow a thicker skin, I'm having to learn that

Freedom is not FREE!!

Feelings can be hurt when you are not investigating your opinions well enough. People on this site are well above the average IQ. If you think it is just about censorship then you are wrong. This site is about ideas and LEARNING!

God bless you Michael. I for one am not the most intelligent individual but this site is about getting information out to freedom loving people.

I personally thank everyone this year coming to give me the strength to fight, for family, you and this country.

Freedom is not FREE!!

Talk to you all next year.

One thing good about 2008, a good year to meet like minded people.
Cheers everyone.

Happy New Year Michael!

It was great finally meeting you at the recent "Boston Tea Party" event. The posters you made for the event are a true work of art and I'll treasure them.Thank you. I am also so happy to know we share the same vision and plan on how we can inject a stable monetary system into the States to compete with the FED system. I am glad you came with me to pick up Dr. Rand Paul. I'm sure you already know what I'll be doing this coming year. www.CommitteesofSafety.org I'm looking forward to seeing you next month.

To Michael & to Everyone

Thank you, Michael and to everyone who visits Daily Paul. I have been so encouraged by the positive but also encouraged by some of the negativity, too. Why? Truth overcomes eventually and reason is always found. What is most encouraging is the fact that adversary is small even though it seems huge. When folk can no longer afford to be greedy they will share again I'm sure. The Super Trooper is being turned on to the culprits and illuminating the darkness.
Happy New Year to All and may all our freedom dreams come true.

'I always think of all you canvassors and precinct leaders and delegates at the front line and caucuses.
Good luck out there &Thank you. You're a gift.

Much peace and best wishes...

I'm so grateful for DP and to the great people who call this place a home. I first discovered Michael Nystrom way back in the late 90s with his depression2.tv website. Not sure of the path that led me to him then, but it sure is interesting to trace the journey that I do remember. I wondered who this crazy guy could be with his most unusual web presence back then. I didn't know a thing about what he was talking about. But he shocked me into the beginning of me actually thinking about this stuff. :-) Thank goodness.

Happy New Year to all of you truly one in a million people!

Going into Boston

The snow is still coming down...3-4 inches so far(supposed to get up to 8 inches.) A friend just called to say the bus she was going to take to come up here has been cancelled. Bummer! I'll still go in with some family and friends to have a casual dinner (seldom dine out) and see the ice sculptures and fireworks. It'll be cold, windy, and messy, but it'll be fun!

of something clever but couldn't so I reached in my Yogi Berra book of wise sayings and came up with this "The future ain't what it used to be" and " If I didn't wake up I'd still be sleeping". Thanks to all here at Daily Paul because without ya I'd be lost.

We go into the New Year wiser, stronger

wide awake. It's been a year of amazing growth. May the insights and knowledge we carry forward help turn the world toward peace and freedom.

Happy New Year to everyone...

I predict in 2010 we'll be saying about 2009: "...it was the best of times, it was the worst of times..." (I predict things will turn around for the better, before the year is over.)
My sister is having a party tonight; she only lives a few blocks away; however, I am on day 8 of a very annoying, tenacious flu/bug/virus/cold and haven't finalized whether I will be in attendance there. Tomorrow I will be making baked pork/sauerkraut...a family tradition.
Also in 2009, I will be following/supporting the NE Impeachment archives agenda, the WTP Continental Congress agenda, offering support for liberty-minded political candidates, attempting to fill my cupboards with food, continuing on with my efforts to pay off loans/debts, offering support in various endeavors I may encounter. It goes without saying that I will be perusing this site on a daily basis...
What I dream about doing is coming into some money, buying this local gorgeous 133 acre piece of property, planting fruit trees, planting a huge garden with heirloom seeds, having some cows/chickens, installing a water-wheel to power my own energy, building a few extra houses on-site for my children/grandchildren...
I hope everybody's dreams come to fruition in 2009...

Planting Is Therapeutic

We have 35 acres on a hill...plenty of area to plant on. All the best on your 133! My two passions are fruit growing and keeping up on current events...a citizens advocate. No offense to any part of the Ron Paul Liberty movement...but I need to take care of unfinished personal business in the coming year. People may tend to forget what some of us sacrificed in the past year. Need a year to recover and build up steam.

Regarding fruit growing, sold an orchard and cider mill in Dec 06. A "fruit growing sabbatical". This gave us time and a little extra money to help support the presidential favorite this site is named for. This brings me to the speech Dr Paul made in the Branson area, I believe on May 30, 2008. If the link is still up and working, here it is:

www.missourinet.com/gestalt/go.cfm?objectid=3D501008-E0B3-AA...

About 30-31 minutes into his speech, Dr Paul discusses government telling us what we can eat and drink...even whether or not we can drink non-pasteurized milk or not. To me, this was the grand finale of Ron's great speeches as presidential candidate 08. It sure set me off(on a good note) personally. Not that he didn't have many great speeches before that, and to this day.

I make no predictions here, but a suggestion. Have an in-the-flesh get-together of DP folks, possibly on the anniversary weekend of the Rally 4 The Republic weekend, but this time do it where there is a better chance warrm weather will prevail...the Branson, Missouri area. A hotbed of Ron Paul liberty minded folks.

Also, if anyone wants to talk fruit propogation or cider making, e-mail me at realcider@bytehead.com. Please introduce yourself and give me plenty of time to respond.

Happy New Year to you Michael & all the good people on this site

2008 was the year of awakening for many of us; 2009 will be the year of ACTION.

I'll be spending Hogmanay at the Street Party in Edinburgh. "Groove Armada" and "Paolo Nutini" are playing, so should be a good night!.

Due to the delay this year(http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,3912705,00.html), we will all be singing the following at 1 second past midnight!

Discovering the Daily Paul

. . . was the best thing that happened to me all last year. Further, I am emboldend to be unselfish and talk to two new people per day about individual sovereignty.
I have also made a goal of the natural diet for humans, that is, consuming 100% raw foods, uncooked for 2009, courageously setting example to family and friends of the importance of Natural Hygiene as the most important issue of the decade.
Thank you and happy new year Michael, and thanks for allowing us guardians of the light to meet here.

And never forget, “Humans, despite our artistic pretensions, our sophistication and many accomplishments, owe the fact of our existence to a six-inch layer of topsoil and the fact that it rains.”

Happy New Year to you too michael!

and yes good riddance to 2008 except for the obvious - how you and the good doctor brought us all together - that was the best part!

each year in belfast we have the new years by the bay event:
http://newyearsbythebay.org

there's lots of local stuff and lots of places are open until after midnite with entertainment and food etc. and topped off with a really big bonfire by the harbor at midnight. it's alot of fun. it's chem free so it's a family event too.

what is the official date of DP's anniversary michael? we could all celebrate two years of getting together for liberty!

god bless you and yours michael!

and god bless all of you here at the DP. it's a really special place!
