He explained how our poor economy is the result of having a FIAT currency. He said that constant expansion of the money supply and cheap money is what causes our booms and busts.
He also said that we need a gold-backed currency.
I also watched Fox Business's "Happy Hour" last night and they had an entire segment about bringing back the gold standard.
One of the "Happy Hour" hosts, Cody Willard, said that we should have private competing currencies and get rid of the monopolistic Federal Reserve.
Our message is slowly squeezing itself through to the mainstream.

but I agree with MikeLawson (again!) that we do need to be cautious with respect to media of this type (Fox, NBC, CNN, etc.) in terms of what they'll "let" get out there.
On the other hand, gotta love Patrick for sayin' it and Stuart (sp?) Varney just proved what a silly fool he is by "poo-poohing" support for a gold standard. Proves that he's not as much of a "pro-America" "refugee from European socialism" as he thinks because the Constitution requires sound money--gold and silver--which means if we want to use paper that paper must represent its equivalent in gold and silver coin...Duh, Stuart!

I knew about this person being pro RP. I have seen Cavuto do some waking up of his own lately as well. Cody rocks. Since Obama won, I think more FOX people are becoming de-neoconned.
In line with what Mike Lawson says though, it's prolly all planned that way, LOL! FOX has done such a great job of being the BAD GUY for so long that if they start actually advocating free market principals it could give them (free market principals) an even dirtier name in the eyes of the public, making it easier for the masses to reject them.

You should be concerned about why it was said
Start being very alert and DO NOT start contacting Fox and saying you approve. Just be glad people are hearing it. There seems to be a growing "end the fed" buzz in the media, we DO NOT want to be blamed for what they bring in when and if "we" are "successful". Just remember, the media is controlled, it does not take breaks. You ALWAYS hear what they intended you to hear. Don't be lulled cause it pleases your ears.

Holy shit batman. The Overstock CEO quoted Friedman and Von Mises. The interviewer is an obvious paid schill. He said that the CEO was wrong about the gold standard. I call bullshit. The Overstock CEO also stated America was going nuts when referring to a bailout for the retail sector. I'm not sure if he is just paying lip service to obtain sales, but he seems like he really supports free markets and a gold backed currency. You must remember that the Central Intelligence Agency infiltrated the main stream media decades ago through project "Mockingbird". Any time any of these moron "News" anchors/hosts make bold statements like "your wrong" or "are you really serious?" then most likely it is government propaganda. Hopefully, the Overstock CEO is legit.

This guy is awesome. Lives in my home state and spent 1 million dollars of his own money to try to get the state out of Public education. By allowing people to switch to Private School and recieve ~1000 per child per year in school vouchers.
The local media lambasted, not suprisingly. And the stupid people in this state voted down the ballot measure. He then, was quoted as saying something like, "Utah showed it's IQ with the way they voted."
That really ruffled the feathers of the media. Regardless he is awesome. Buy from them if the price is reasonable.
He puts his money where his mouth is.
