I love the DailyPaul.com for it's on and off topic threads and sensational opinions. But, if you want to join an organized movement you need to join the CampaignForLiberty.com.

I've been a member for several months. The site is organized to enable communications between voting precincts and the USA at large. During the '08 Presidential debate I helped organize a slimjim distribution group for North Dallas and West Houston. We distributed more than 3,000 slimjims detailing how wrong the financial bailout is and who voted for the bailout.

You might also find small social events to get to know your local RP advocates. As well you learn alot about Austrian economic. You can join for free but realize this site is self funded. There is also a large amount of training and materials available.

Please consider joining the Ron Paul sanctioned site. That's all I'll say.

Look, Ill be the first to admit that I am what you would call a newbie to politics. This was my first election I registered to vote, though I am almost 30 now ( ahhh I admitted it aloud...) But as a newbie can I offer some advise as to what I saw as most effective for the CFL and Dr. Paul.

1. It wasn't the person behind the message it was the message behind the person..I connected with the ideas of freedom he promotes long before I connected with him.We need to promote the ideas as a movement.
2. Society has disenfranchised many Americans politically by airing programs that determine the outcome of these events through biased media.Grass roots is the only way to reach every one equally.
3. Internet, Internet, Internet..... We need a more comprehensive approach to what I call the Googlers... Meaning most 25-40 year olds live and die by what the internet . We need more mention on any form of print publication we can get... Most secondary news sites (like topix or Yahoo news) have spiders or researchers looking for these articles to re-post as news.. It could be the smallest mention in the smallest daily bugle in America, but if one of those secondaries pick it up, it could be much more.. The goal here is to get on page one of the search results for any search engine..We really need to find an individual more qualified than I to research these "spiders" or computer programs that run over the net looking for keywords. I know it sounds all hookie, but I really think that a majority of people in this country will not vote for a person unless they see that candidates position on a particular issue on the 1st page of a search result... By the way, I was on a site that obama2012 or something.... Internet promotion was the area that BO feared RP......
4. Exploitation through comedy.... We are handed examples daily of how gov is failing us.. Ted Stevens,Rod Blagoiveich, Bill Richardson, etc, etc, etc..... We need to exploit that failure more effectively.. Maybe like new bumper stickers or new email jokes????( What does Ted Stevens, Rod Blagoiveich, and Bill Richardson have in common???? : They all work for the Government..)OK so I am not Carrot Top or Howie, but you get the point. Alot of Ron's appeal is his ability to make light of the situation with a smile and almost a sense of humor..
5. Documentary... Ron and the CFL need to do a documentary.. Im sure one of his supporters that is tech savy could accomplish this. With the right play it could be an indie release one year ( young impressionable minds) and a free online view after( again 25-40 year olds.)

Well let me know if my ideas are totally crack pot or if there is any merit in them please.. I appreciate the feedback...

Ron Paul needs help getting more allies into congressional and senate seats in 2010 - and Jesse Benton is now saying Ron Paul may run again in 2012. If you are serious about helping Ron Paul and the Liberty Movement - Then you have to do the dirty work NOW.

This means getting involved with your local County GOP Executive Committee now - become a precinct committeeman/committeewoman - drag your friends from your local meetup group along to do the same (our meetup has meetings the night before the county GOP meeting, to go over strategy and educate each other) - and next time county elections come up - run one of your own for chairman - There are other positions available also - and build from there - if we all do this - we wont have a repeat of what happened this last time around with the Delegate situation - we will already be in place. Are you serious about who you want the nominee to be - or just wishing? - get involved in the party if your serious - from the sidelines your just a spectator.

At our last county executive GOP meeting - myself and a few others had prepared a speech, and didn’t need to give all of it - because the chairman said most of it for us - him and the rest of the party regulars knew the party had gone down the wrong path and needed to re-find its way to its conservative/libertarian roots - and we are there to help them find it -The Time Couldn’t Be Better For Everyone To Get Involved In Your Local GOP County Executive Committee - McCain’s Loss Is The Best Thing That Could Have Happened For Us!

I feel it is imperative to stay focused on SOLUTIONS - whatever they may be and whatever we can come up with. The RP Liberty movement proved itself to be creative, unpredictable and noisy enough to rock the establishment. We got the world's attention and there is now a foundation in place that didn't exist before. We have much to build on. Propaganda voices Fox and CNN are on the ropes. The people were fooled for a long time but they are waking up and they want real and meaningful change. One more round like we gave them will no doubt bring down more of their charlatan system proving once again lies have short legs and are easy to catch up.

We here have never stopped locally distributing CDs, literature and having classes on the Constitution. Over the years I've found it takes about two years for people to wake. First they are curious, then confused, then angry and finally accept the mess and are determined to do something about it. Some wake up sooner so the first return on our investment (so to speak) is probably going to kick in this spring and continue to grow at an accelerating rate. Now is not the time lay back. Now is the time to push on through to victory.
