Thank you Mr.Lepard!!!...and everyone INVOLVED!!!

This ad is absolutely magnificent. I was astonished to read posts that were complaints!?! Gimme' a break. Stop complaining and run your own ad the way that you want it done. I love it and we are lucky to have such a person who would contribute so much of himself. Thank you Mr. Lepard!!! Thank you!!! Why are posts always suggesting someone do something for them? Do it yourself folks. That's what this is about. Stop asking Govt. or anyone else to handle your affairs. It's okay to ask for help, but when it's a simple task, please take on the challenge. What can YOU do for the Ron Paul campaign and freedom movement? I'm proud of all the hard work being done! We have a state-wide meetup tomorrow with Rand Paul. I can't wait to hear the latest and gather info for the next few weeks. By the way...door-to-door is working great. There are some pitfalls, but we're learning so much! Thanks again to Mr.Lepard and everyone doing what they can!

Great ad best I have ever saw

Never seen such a patriotic ad like that definatly going to get supporters .I know I would notice that

USA Today ad

I think the ad is amazing. Thank you Lawrence Lepard for making it happen. It looks like a lot of work went into this. The ad will spread Ron Paul's message to a much broader audience. By the way, I just called 1-877-RON2008 and it is campaign headquarters. The person answering the phone did not know about the ad. He does now.

Gratitude

I wrote a message to Mr. Lepard thanking him for his generous ad for Ron Paul, and he responded to me as follows:

***************************************
Thank you for your kind words. RP deserves all the credit not me. I am a flawed human. RP is a god.

The adv. will run on Wed. 11/21. I have attached a PDF, spread it around via email and by hand.

Let's get RP in the White House where he belongs.

USA Today - If that's a picture of Hamilton on that ad

Lose it. Hamilton would never support Ron Paul. The founding of the FED was the realization of Hamilton's recurring Wet Dream. Probably had the world's first post mortem ejaculation on December 23, 1913.

Agreed, but...

...it's Madison.

Hamilton was scum.

Hey!

maybe we should all do a PitchIn for a NY Times Ad?

Of course I'd advocate the 2nd version here ->
http://www.ronpaulforums.com/showthread.php?t=37415&page=2

This was the best

Wonder why they didn't go with this one.

Maybe we could tie this in with the Tea Party Bomb.

I think a very good ad would be one with about 6 endorsements from regular people telling why they endorse Dr. Paul. You know, We The People endorsements.

What do you think? We could put a lot of info into them, but at a personal level. --Wanting a better country for our children--taking care of America, etc.

Go for it!

Make it happen. It sounds like a fantastic idea.

Another Suggestion With This Great Ad

I’d like to ask if the creators of this add could create a version that fits onto an 8 1/2 by 11 sheet. If this is created individuals can make copies and then distribute locally for minimal cost.

One tactic I’d give to people, which I have used for local anti-tax elections, is to walk through a local neighborhood around 5 or 5:30 AM after the paper has been delivered and slip a folded copy onto the paper’s rubber band or inside the plastic bag. You will almost be guaranteed at least a quick reading.

Isn't the 1-800 number still wrong?

Isn't the 1-800 number still wrong???

Might be good to run a chip-in site for other papers

Since this ad has now been made, I think local paper prices would be affordable using chip-ins. Be nice to see this in a lot of different local papers.

USA TODAY AD

When I first saw the ad copy for the USA TODAY ad, I sat down and wrote a heart-felt note to Mr. Lepard to thank him for his ourpouring of support for Ron Paul. Below, I have posted my letter to him and the wonderful note I received in response (which I did NOT expect to have happen!) Mr. Lepard is awesome -- what a boost! Pretty soon there won't be very many people who have not heard about Dr. RON PAUL!

My note to Mr. Lepard:

Dear Mr. Lepard,

As a Ron Paul supporter from the beautiful state of Oregon, I wanted to
thank you very sincerely for spending your money to run the Avertisement on Ron Paul in USA Today! Just today, I was trying to figure out how I could get a group of people together and run a full page ad in just our little local paper for Dr. Paul -- such a small task compared to the monumental contribution you have made to his campaign. Our country is so sorely in need of Ron Paul as it's President -- and the key to getting that done is to educate and wake up the people that have never even heard of him. Thank you again! God Bless you!

I do believe we will get Ron Paul into the White House!

It is the message which is so powerful, not any one person.

YOU ROCK!!

MR. LEPARD, YOU ROCK!!! IT'S BEAUTIFUL!!!

You don't like it? Make your own!

Don't be complaining if this person decide not to take your suggestions.

No good deed,

goes unpunished.

Thank you to the guy that is paying for the USAToday ad. I have nothing but praise for the ad.

An added plus is that this will be published in on Wed. It will be the Thanksgiving day edition too! The regular USAToday readers will see the ad and all of the folks that will buy one for traveling and their days off.

Cool.

He took my suggestion

He took my suggestion about clarifying the birthright thing and wrote me an email back.

However if he chose not to, that's his decision and I certainly would not fault the man for ignoring it. It's his money and his ad.

Great guy!

compare it to the

General Petraeus NY Times Ad.

A little Disappointed

Don't get me wrong, I still appreciate the ad, but the 2nd revision was the best. And Ron Paul's face is too small. It should be as large as the founding fathers. Way too much information in this version! The line about the polls should not even be there.

yep!

That's the 2nd draft I was writing about. It's a much better ad IMHO but it's his money. I'm just glad he's even doing it! Were I to do it in my local paper (I've been thinking about it), this is the version I would go with!

Just called the local newspaper

of a rural county in Alabama. They actually run 3 newspapers. The once weekly Wetumpka Herald and the weekend Wetumpka Observer and Eclectic Observer. I can get a full page ad in all three for $1612.50. I have room on the plastic for it and I think it would be a good investment for my grandson's future. It may be that we only have this single shot musket left to defend our country. Let this shot be "heard around the world" for a second time.

I did the same thing ...

Looks like an unintended consequence of the USA Today ad is that it's inspired many other supporters to do the same thing - even if it's only a local paper with a smaller ad. I plan on doing the same thing - can't forget about those who aren't internet-savvy ;-)

Great job

I just have to figure out where I can go to get one of these. Can a person buy these on line?

Prepare & Share the Message of Freedom through Positive-Peaceful-Activism.

Geez...

I have spent the last 2-3 days over at the forums watching this develop. (Let me tell you... Its a rowdy bunch over there) Anyway...

I'm sorry to say this but I'm not a big fan. I mean it is great that Mr. Lepard is will to do this, but this ad is simply ineffective. There were quite a few individuals, who really seemed to know what they were talking about, making suggestions. Some even designed their own versions around this one. After five drafts, they took all of the minor suggestions and completely ignored the "smart" ones. With the little bit of exposure I've had to the design world, I can notice that the founders should at least be facing the center instead of looking off in every which direction.

I appreciate the thought and the effort... I really do, but this isn't nearly as effective as it could be.

I will now shut up about it. I just needed to vent.

Ehhh...

I dunno .. it's this guy's hundreds of thousands of dollars, and if he doesn't read/agree with/use the tons of suggestions he probably received, then so be it, as far as I'm concerned. I'm just thrilled somebody is doing something like this ... I can't say for sure (I don't regularly read USA Today) but I would guess that the majority of candidates do not have a full page ad in a national paper! Sure, I would have placed Ron Paul's picture more prominently in the ad but guess what? It's not my money, and it's not my ad. This is huge positive exposure for Ron - bottom line.

I will also shut up now. Just my two cents .. thanks for reading :-)

Disappointed in USA Today Ad

Dear kipload,

I, too, am a bit disappointed in the final design; I even communicated with Mr. Lepard personally, and my suggestions included having the Founders face each other. But he didn't incorporate any of my suggestions either.

But it IS his ad, and it's certainly an eye-catcher even if it could be improved.

My suggestion to all the people who are disappointed in the ad: run your own ads in your local papers! They may not get the exposure that USA Today enjoys, but every little bit helps. People DO read their local papers.

And if you would, please send your designs to this forum if you don't mind your designs being duplicated. I'm sure some people would like the idea of running local ads but wouldn't know how to design one.
