By listing one goal/pursuit per person, our focus will be maintained and make it easier for like-minds to connect up through this thread. Let us master our destiny. I will kick this off by saying Accountability is my pursuit involving mandatory paper trails for all electronic voting machines in my state of Pennsylvania.

Hi, fellow Keystoner! I understand your concerns with electronic
voting machines, however, these are similar to the bar code scanners found in grocery stores (same manufacturers). Personally, I feel as comfortable scanning my groceries as using a clerk to process my purchase. Actually, the chance for error is greater relying on a clerk rather than a scanner, since the scanner either works or doesn't and therefore you know immediately when an error occurs, whereas a clerks' typo may not become obvious until you get home. As for hand counting, there is always the human element for error, whether accidental or by design. We can overcome this problem by getting electronic voting printouts including a pre-vote tally, followed by a post-vote tally, and a final vote tally after the polling place closes. In all printouts each voter receives a unique random number to allow them to track their votes and the cumulative votes cast before, after, and at the close. The final vote totals would of course be in a numeric order so you could easily track just how your votes influenced the subtotals and compare this with your earlier post-vote tally. Close to fool-proof.

...I want paper ballots ONLY, hand-counted....I want electronic voting machines TOTALLY banned. I am willing to work for free helping count ballots...I have written numerous letters about the matter thus far...so far, it's fallen on deaf ears...I won't give up...I'd like to see it in effect by no later than next year...

After seeing the Republican comedy debates today I am looking to see what the Constitution or Libertarian party platform is. If any of them accept his platform I will work and contribute to them. I am tired of lip service.
