States Fund Budgets With Contents Of Safety Deposit Boxes???!!!

Bank Holiday Revisted
I was telling some friends of mine this weekend, that Banks can longer be considered safe. The comment came after a friend suggested holding Gold in a Saftey Deposit Box. I warned that I didn't think that mattered much in 1933 when FDR gave the Banks a 4 day holiday. All was lost I told her. I am thinking that removing all deposits before inuargual day might be a good idea, as the FDIC couldn't possibly cover all it's obligations and History has shown us the cruelty of our Government before.
