I've never heard of him. His interviewer sounds like a hot shot salesman.
I hate it when...
I hate is when someone says, "The handwriting was on the wall." The hand was writing on the wall. It's a biblical allusion to Belshazzar's feast. He saw a hand, writing on the wall. Or so the story goes.
The handwriting was interpreted
In Daniel, chapter 5..." The king called on his wisemen to interpret the writing and they could not. He finally called on Daniel, "......" Daniel told him, "And this is the writing that was written, MENE, MENE, TEKEL, UPHARSIN. This is the interpretation of the thing: MENE; God hath numbered thy kingdom, and finished it. TEKEL; Thou art weighted in the balances, and art found wanting. PERES; Thy kingdom is divided, and given to the Medes and Persians. ...In that night was Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans slain."
As a result, any threat of impending doom is still known as "the handwriting (noun) is on the wall.'

for all to see also I was watching the local news tonight to hear the weather and a story came on that enrollment at the community college was up about 50 percent. So it looks like he is right on for this. Looks like it may be time to remove all of my lawn and make it productive

Gerald Celente is spot on
and has been for as long as I've been reading his stuff. He gets it, and he calls it out, especially the criminality that is pervasive on Wall Street, the fact that the banksters don't create wealth, the fact that their wealth is the direct result of stealing. I love the guy. Thanks for posting the interview.

I don't know, I think he is missing how socialism will effect us
We will have a bunch more government Jobs to help compensate for the unemployment. The hard times will be spread around and hidden, so most people won't notice so much. I'd be surprised if there is really much cold and hunger - He forgets the power of some of our new technologies.
College will become more necessary for many jobs, not because it teaches things that are useful, but because they provide the proper indoctrination for socialist workers, who will understand their service role, and what social justice is supposed to be.
The two biggest trends in education now are service learning (civic engagement), and ethics education that includes specific Ideas of social justice and the importance of diversity.

Also note the trend to accountability and assessment, which sounds good, but ends up meaning that there will be a federal authority looking at what is taught in college. Perfect indoctrination for our required Civil service program.
I think you over-estimate the "power" of socialism
I also think that you forget that government jobs can only be funded by private sector taxpayers or the ability of the government to borrow, using the productive achievement of the private sector taxpayers as collateral. The only other way to fund government jobs is to "print" money, which looks the road that the Obama Express is going to take. In that case, we will see exactly what Gerald Celente speaks of, which is really the rebirth of American ingenuity and resolve. The ashes of big, bad, powerful socialism will be used as fertilizer in our gardens. After the American empire collapses, God help all of those that collaborated with the empire builders.
