Cheney: "Bush's Actions Legal If Not Impeached"
(If you don't get punished, you didn't do anything wrong, right?)....
That's the message Vice President Dick Cheney gave in an interview with CBS' Bob Schieffer on Sunday, suggesting that a president's actions are legal if those actions didn't result in his impeachment.
Asked by Schieffer if he believed that anything the president does in time of war is legal, Cheney said there is "historic precedent of taking action that you wouldn't take in peacetime."
Cheney referenced Abraham Lincoln as an example of another president who "suspended the writ of habeus corpus" during a war, prompting this exchange:
SCHIEFFER: But nobody thinks that was legal.
CHENEY: Well, no. It certainly was in the sense he wasn't impeached. And it was a wartime measure that he took that I think history says today, yeah, that was probably a good thing to do.
The vice president spent much of the interview defending eight years of the Bush administration's policies, including its surveillance and interrogation programs.
When Schieffer asked if the Bush administration had gone "too far" in its surveillance program, Cheney said no.
"I don’t believe we violated anybody’s civil liberties," he said.
Cheney also urged President-elect Barack Obama to continue the Bush administration’s interrogation policies.
"I would hope [Obama] would avoid doing what others have done in the past, which is letting the campaign rhetoric guide his judgment in this absolutely crucial area," Cheney said. "We were very careful, we did everything by the book, and in fact we produced very significant results.......

What else is he supposed to say? The government doesn't follow the law because they don't have to. If they felt like they had to they would. The Consititution doesn't outline a formal process for bringing grievences against the gov't and the gov't has long ago excused itself from personal liability. Your petition for grievence is to vote for the "other" political party.
Basically, the whole system will fail and it's well on its way. The shame of it all is this depression was created by tiny little men with burned out rotten garbage in their heads. Freedom comes from within. Prosperity comes from enlightenment amongst freedom loving people free from coercion. They've stolen our prosperity through coercion. Cheney will burn in hell. No need to do anything specific or risky. He's all taken of by his own deeds. He's a dead man walking.

For the sake of argument disregard the fact that we know what Obama promised the entire campaign was a lie.
He is basically saying to Obama "please don't let the fact that you promised all these things get in the way of what you are going to actually do."

It's hard to impeach a president with a bullet in his head (Lincoln). Cheney's remarks would hang Mr. Bush out to dry in a court of law, if we had one.

The law of the land doesn't dictate anything, at least not to us. In this country for the most part you are not in a court system which recogonizes the constitution. Why is that? Surely if we have liberties we can voice them? right? You are in a UCC court system. Uniform Commercial Code, which is the law of commerce, otherwise known as admiralty Law and maritime law which is all derived from the sea. Thus, the flags trimmed in yellow within these courts. In these the courts, your supposed constitutional liberties are not recognized. They recognize commerce, and yes, you ARE commerce. You can be held in contempt for citing the constitution in these courts. They call this criminal trespass, for citing a document you are not privy to. Here is why you are not privy to it. Simple contract law. If your brother and I have a contract, and you do not like the outcome of the contract, and you wish to sue me, you can't. Why? Because you were not a part of the original contract. The original contract was between your brother and I. Meaning if you were not an original signee of the constitution or one of the 50 states for which it was written, tough luck buddy, it doesn't pertain to you and never has. You can bet they know this quite well. This is why a lawyer will break his neck to subvert you away from it, while you stammer " what about my constitutional rights"?? leaving you to wonder why your lawyer wont cite it. The most IMPORTANT REASON why the constitution doesn't apply to you IS, YOU DONT GET YOUR RIGHTS FROM A PIECE OF PAPER WRITTEN BY MAN. You get them from your CREATOR whatever you deem it to be. They are INALIENABLE and can't be taken away, UNLESS YOU LET THEM. This is the game. They put you in the game from birth. They make a strawman of you. They capitalize your name on your birth certificate, ss card, drivers license. All caps signify the corporation. They now can trade/treat you like commerce, or cattle. They essentially make a debt slave of you. They can now extort fines, fees, permits, licenses, and taxation apon you. You are now a debt slave to the states and federal governments. You are treated as commerce and the last time I checked commerce can't voice constitutional liberties. They did this from the inception of this country. We been had folks, and you can't keep on building apon the lie and pretending the elitist so called representitives are going to listen to us. They won't. They know they don't have too. The posterity has been handed down alright....to them.

No statute of limitations on impeachment...
While, I understand that it will probably be completely unfeasible since their enablers and fellow criminals in Congress and the future administration of one Barack H. Obama would be implicated, I wanted to stress again that, in principle and in accordance with justice, Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney and the rest of their cabal who have done so much damage to our constitutional republic should be impeached after (hopefully) having left office. For one thing, impeachment and subsequent conviction would preclude Mr. Bush and Mr. Cheney and others respectively from receiving another dime of tax-payers' money in pension or retirement and from ever holding public office again.

The Democrats had the power to impeach Bush for two whole years. They never did so, because Pelosi quashed it, and John Conyers refused to do his job.
Bush will never be prosecuted or charged with any 'war crime'. He will retire in luxury with many millions of dollars, just as the Clintons have and he'll have a mansion in north Dallas. He will never "flee" to his 80,000 acre estate in Paraguay. He will probably build a lavish ranch there, and use it to entertain his many NAFTA-Latin American friends.
Bush won. We lost. He will never be punished. He may have irreparably damaged the conservative movement by means of his (false) association to conservatism. If the economy doesn't collapse, we will get two full terms of Obama and perhaps an entire succession of Marxist Democrat Presidents.

I get upset with so many interviews, one cannot even believe them really. What the interviewers need to do is ask specificly for yes and no answers instead of accepting the "I believe" routine because it's a personal belief, not a true standing fact to the question.
