Plato’s Allegory of the Cave
http://revolutionarypolitics.com/?p=402
People in the “Awakening movement” fully understand the concept of Plato’s Cave. They feel they are living in “The Matrix” once they see all the lies around them. There are many different paths out of the cave. Uncovering the fraud of the Federal Reserve system can be one path. 911 truth is yet another. Understanding eugenics, GMO foods, chemtrails, secret societies and esoteric symbolism, false-flag terror, how the U.S. Corporate media covers the Israeli Palestinian Conflict, and the Ron Paul freedom movement can all be paths out of the cave. Once people’s minds are stimulated with seeking the truth they tend to want to seek more. It is up to us, the ones who have ventured out of the cave already to illuminate the path for those still in chains inside of the cave.
Enjoy this short film of Plato’s Allegory of the cave.

I can relate...
"There can be only one permanent revolution - a moral one: The regeneration of the inner man."
—Tolstoy
"The body is but a vessel for the soul,
A puppet which bends to the soul's tyranny.
And lo, the body is not eternal,
For it must feed on the flesh of others,
Lest it return to the dust whence it came.
Therefore the soul deceives and despises."
The 8-9 minutes it took to watch this video

GREAT!
I think the Republic is a must read for people to understand the tyranny of good intentions. I don't think Plato was evil, he was trying to develop in his mind a perfect society. Collectivism is just not the way. It would be nice if it were possible to see a debate between Plato and Thomas Paine about Collectivism vs. Individual Liberty. I think Plato would rethink the dangers of the "Noble Lie" when in the wrong hands.

Thanks for this post
We have weekly movie (usually documentary) screenings, and I'm always on the look-out for a cartoon to show before the movie.
This is perfect. :-)

Have you seen Mouseland? I found out about it via a post here on DP. It's great, short, and a cartoon(!) if you haven't already shown it before one of your screenings. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gqpFm7zAK90
