By Brian Wargo The competition from foreclosures continues to force Las Vegas homebuilders to cut prices and build smaller, more affordable homes and in some cases not build any. Eighteen builders have more than 100 models priced under $100 per square foot, said Larry Murphy, president of SalesTraq, which tracks the Las Vegas housing market. The price per square foot of new homes sold through October was $126.01 — a 30 percent decline from $180.17 in 2007."

golf courses in Vegas. I'm not from Vegas, but I follow what goes on there. If Vegas is hurting, then we are in trouble. I thought that place was bust proof and inflation proof. However, Vegas is an attraction that has a big appetite that must be fed.
Nearly every headline was not good news, except for the anticipated 12,000 people being hired for another casino? How long will those jobs last?
