How to return our Social Security Cards. Update
I don't want my social security card anymore. I don't want the "benefits" that come with the card. How do I return it?
I googled it and once again it needs to be a religious exemption:

Since Social Security has been determined by the Supreme Court of the United States not to be an insurance plan but a social welfare plan provided by the government, the decision for clergy to get out of Social Security must be a conscientious objection to government welfare based on their religious beliefs. Exemption is based on the filing with and approval by the IRS of Form 4361. The decision to withdraw must be based on the following statement of conscience contained in Form 4361.
I certify that I am conscientiously opposed to, or because of my religious principles I am opposed to, the acceptance (for services I perform as a minister, member of religious order not under a vow of poverty, or a Christian Science practitioner) of any public insurance that makes payments in the event of death, disability, old age, or retirement; or that, makes payments toward the cost of, or provides services for, medical care. (Public insurance includes insurance systems established by the Social Security Act.)…Under penalties of perjury, I declare that I have examined this application and to the best of my knowledge and belief it is true and correct.
This application for exemption from self-employment tax must be filed by April 15 (or deadline determined by the Internal Revenue Service including extensions) of the second year in which a minister, member of religious order not under a vow of poverty, or a Christian Science practitioner had net ministerial income of $400 or more. Furthermore, a minister, member of religious order not under a vow of poverty, or a Christian Science practitioner must certify that they will within 30 days of the date of their filing Form 4361 so inform their church, religious order, ordaining body, or religious society of their filing of form 4361.
Opting Out
There is no way other than religious exemption to "Opt out". However, there is no law requiring anyone to apply for an SSN. If you have a baby, don't get him/her a number by NOT applying for it.
If you have a number there is no law that says you must use it. Anytime you are asked for it or there is a space for ir on a form, you are certainly free to leave it blank. If it is required for some service or benefit, you are free to either do without or work around it.
In the case of bank accounts, you can use money orders or setup an entity such as a trust to open an account.
In the case of employment, you can work as a subcontractor or again, create an entity that will contract with for work.
The answer is simple; don't use the number. It may not be easy or convenient (who said freedom was convenient?) but it is entirely possible.

At Bible Collage we had this discussion
There is a way to opt out of social security. When I was going to Bible collage last year we had a long discussion on the matter. First of all to opt out of social security you must first be ordained. Then with in a year you must go to the social security office and tell them that due to your ordination and belief you want to opt out, you must bring your ordination papers. Then you are opted out of the system and you no longer have to put any more money into the system but all the money you have put into the system is gone, and the government is no longer entitled to pay for any more of your bills for anything. I guess you would just have to trust God.
The interesting thing about this discussion was that the guy telling us how to do this then preceded to tell us not to do it, and gave all these safety reasons not to do it just in case. I was thinking where is your faith at, and where is your sense at, do you not know how much money you would save. But to make it much more interesting the next collage night the preacher the head of the entire Bible collage brought it up (without seeming to know the discussion we had previously had) and said that if he knew he could opt of social security back then after had been ordained he would have done it, then he encouraged us to opt out when we get the chance after ordination. Since I was and am planning on doing that I kinda cheered him on. Yes I do go to one of those churches that shout, and it is a baptist church.
Still waiting to be ordained though but the day after ordination I am going to the ss office with a big smile on my face and some ordination papers, but the thing is in my denomination (independent baptist) we do not get ordained till we become the head pastor of a church or are required to do baptism or marriage so it will still be some time for me.

and changing the subject in midair, anyone know Kent Hovind? Don't know if he is a Paulite, but he sure sounds like one. He has Dr. Dino in Pensicola, FL. He has an absolutely great series called the Creation Series that is 8 dvds for $99. I've just watched the whole thing and now I have ordered it to pass it around in my family. It is my understanding, unless something has happened I don't know about, that he is now in jail, and his wife also, because he did not become a 501.3.c, did not withhold taxes from his 54 employees, did not pay his half, and got sentenced to 54 counts of tax evasion and received 225 year sentence of which he is expected to have to serve 10 years. This stinks. He said he paid his employees in cash since they were doing evangelizing. I may have some misunderstandings of this case. I just learned about it and have not researched it. He has three grown kids and is a grandfather. I cannot believe they are sitting in jail. I highly recommend the series for anyone who wants to know how to argue Creationism-whether you are Christian or not.

that I am in. I think that it is wise to wait to be ordained till I am in that place of responsibility.
And Sorry about the spelling I am not always as careful as I should be. And For you information I love to read but for whatever reason spelling is something I have to watch very carefully or I misspell so I do not mind somebody harping on me about.

just go to the nearest office and return it. they will probably look at your like your nuts and tell you that you cannot do it but you can.

i have several friends who are 'sovereign' individuals.
it's basically a pain to do. so my advice would be not to start unless you're willing to see it thru.
it's not easy and takes a while.
also, if and when you complete the entire process it's not easy to function in the 'system' when you're not a part of it - altho you can!

Back in 1979 I heard of some patriots who not only rescinded their SSN# they got a refund for everything they had put into the system. That loophole closed years ago.

You must get inside...
Inside the SSA office and access their computer system. This is difficult but not impossible. You can then delete entire scores of information about yourself including your SS #. You yourself do not necessarily need to be the one doing the deleting.
