Update: Solar Storms to Arrive by 2012
I respect you all on this forum and I want to share a story about someone I've known for a long time. She works for a domestic security force and has revealed that the government is planning for massive solar storms that cause month long blackouts across the world in 2012. She has stocked up her pond and is storing chicken from her coop in her freezer. She's also storing fuel for her generator. She doesn't want her identity revealed or that this story was leaked through her organization.
She says soon they'll be restricting travel in the United States and there will be mandatory curfews. She said she'll let me know before they start imposing restrictions.
I don't know whether this is an engineered dilemma or the government actually preparing people for something that is actually coming. I know all the loony babble of Nibiru has been dismissed by some people, including Alex Jones, and my source didn't say anything about that planet. I wanted to let you all know because this is something that we could be facing.

How do they know? Well, it's happened before. Back in 1859, a solar eruption resulted in telegraph wires burning up.

from half past human, and he was giving a lot of info on the "energy change" that the earth is supposed to experience in the next few years. Apparently there's some strong radioactive activity going on the center of the universe right now that's causing a pulse in planets, along with some ultraviolet c being measured through the earth's atmosphere. It may or may not be "solar activity" as a result of the sun itself, but rather the effects of what's going on in our universe that will change the dynamics of everything in our solar system. In this sense, this would be predictable if they are measuring all possibilities of the current activity, if radiation and ultraviolet activity are at higher than normal levels.

There is a pretty well done program about all of the theories of 2012 that will be on the History Channel today (Sun, Jan 11th) at 5:00 PM EST to 7:00 PM.

to all of the "nay-sayers" below who think this is just another internet story...and I know there are some...I know that there are some flakes that make up wild things like that they are time travelers from 2340 or some other time...but
If YOU had a friend that was in a government position, and that person shared sensitive information with you. What if you felt compelled to share that information with other people that mattered to you, even if they were strangers on the internet but you knew that at their core, they had the same fundamental beliefs that you do. Say your friend didn't want their name, position, or agency revealed because they were in fear for you (because they told you) and themselves for their job.
How would YOU tell others to warn them? Would you want them to believe you? How would you respond when someone said "You telling me isn't good enough. I need documentation, names, dates, places.." knowing that you could not and would not give them?
If everyone wants "proof"...if you could NOT tell them...what sort of proof would you offer? Just curious.

The government source cited is highly questionable -- the State gets science research wrong too often. Currently politicos are freaking out about every imaginable threat and constantly adding new controls to shield themselves, and mega underground bunkers etc. with no concern for cost of course. If they're the only ones who survive some cataclysmic event, they'll kill themselves in short order fighting for power and control of their stashed resources.

Halley's comet is on a orbital path. Gravity keeps it's movements predictable.
A solar storm is a completely different thing. Sure the sun goes through cycles, but like anything else, it's not 100% predictable. There are many things that create upticks in activity with the sun. It's not like a simple comet that you can forecast coming around because of physics time and time again. So I don't think you can predict what the sun will do with too much advance warning. You can't 100% predict a violent tornado, an earthquake, etc. Now maybe with weather here on earth, the closer we are to a given day we can closely predict the weather. But you can't predict what it may do weeks, months, or years in advance. Things change. Things that are the norm, may get knocked out of whack and and then the things we thought may happen, don't.
I suspect on the solar storms, they are more worried about the fact that things have gone fairly silent. Much like before a big storm, you get a calm most of the time. Maybe they are just worried because of that. Obviously they know a solar storm will happen again, they always have and always will. I don't know that they can predict one being a certain size, for a certain year though. But I do believe one will come eventually.

There's been mass extinction level events throughout the history of the earth. Ice Age, death of dinosaurs, etc. were caused by extraterrestrial events. That doesn't mean that aliens came down and killed people. It means we're all on a giant spaceship without any shields. Hoagland and the interviewer never talks about Obama being an alien. He thinks ancient civilizations knew about an event coming in the future. Like we know Halley's comet comes around every 75 years. If you watched the movie you know they talked about a solar coronal event at the end.

The Mayan Prophecy of 2012
This thread reminds me of something something I saw on the discovery channel or some other channel like it about 10 years ago about how the Mayans' calendar predicts some sort of an event in the year 2012 to occur that will cause electricity to run backwards and blow up anything connected to electricity. Translated to modern times, we are to expect our toasters, computers, etc. to be fried up with large jolts of electricity. Sounds crazy but I am not making it up, it was on TV 10 years ago as a documentary but I haven't heard much about it since then.
I have been to the ruins.
It is really an amazing place. They have a pyramid-like building that has two snake heads at the bottom. On the equinox, a shadow of a snakes body goes down the stairs and connects to the heads. They made a complicated, extremely accurate calendar that involves three pegged wheels. One of them represents the 9 month pregnancy cycle. It figures into the calendar somehow. I think it is accurate to 1/100 of a second. It is much more accurate than the one we use. I also remember some story about a man coming from the ocean with an abnormally shaped head that taught them all kinds of things. One thing is for sure, the calendar didn't invent itself. They might have had some sort of savant that came up with it, or maybe the story of someone coming from the ocean is true.
I vaguely remember that the Mayans thought we would drown at the end of the calendar, but I could be wrong. At least one of their books survived and is in Germany at a museum.
I was thinking of heading to 12,000 feet on December 21, 2012, just in case. lol
