Good job I hope it comes to fruition! Can you give a reference as to where you found the Sherrif Dave Mattis information. I have read that same information for years on the net and cannot verify it.

On another Note Ohwyhee county Idaho did something similar when the BLM was hassling ranchers even on their own private property. They got together and elected themselves a sheriff to kick the feds off their land. It was all over the papers.

Can't wait to hear more about this. I thought the free state project was a great idea, but I am not a fan of long winters and snow. Texas would be great.
