Keyes is missing the mark totally

First of all, the only Constitution issue he is going on and on about is Obama's birth eligibility. Second, he said he sided with Pres. Clinton's position that US soldier Michael News should have not refused to wear the UN arm ban--C'mon! Does Keyes really think the UN is a good thing, that supersedes the Constitution? I'd really question were his allegiances are after that comment!

Ar no time did Keyes mention the Bill of Rights, which are the main protector of US citizens rights. He should have specially stressed how the BOR limits the government---something that Obama thinks is a bug, not a feature in the Constitution. Obama once said in a radio interview years ago that he felt the Constitution is a negative contract limiting government power. Keyes should have jump all over that statement! As far as I am concerned, Keyes is just wrapping himself in the Constitution to address this one issue about Obama's eligibility. I do not think Keyes is a avid supporter of the Constitution, based on this interview.

He identifies the heart of the matter absolutely. To insist that he bring up the Bill of Rights is beside the point because all Constitutional amendments become PART OF the Constitution upon ratification.

I think Keyes did a superb job of illuminating the prime consideration. Namely that when you disregard any part of the Constitution, you nullify it entirely. In doing so, we lose the single unifying factor of our nation and open the door to anarchy.

We are "a government of laws, not of men." Anything less than adherence to this precept will destroy us.

Maybe it's because I saw him in person pandering to the christian right, but Alan Keyes is usually a total wacko on the campaign trail. I wish he was always as refreshing as he is in this video.

He so turned me off in that christian right debate that I've had no respect for him at all, though in this video he seems reasonable and believable.

There just ain't no way, right or wrong, that the O will be declared ineligible at this point. It just can't happen. But I wish it would....

This is a Constitutional issue if there ever was one. I'm totally dumb founded as to why the Supreme Court has been so reluctant to address this issue in a TIMELY manor? This issue regarding Obama’s citizenship has been before their Court for months now in the form of several law suits.

After all, how hard is it for the Supreme Court to say to Berg, “You’re right, lets see what proof Obama has regarding his citizenship”. But no, not these eight pricks and their sidekick bitch, they have to wait until the 16th of January to address the issue. (I'm sorry for my language, but I have no respect for this Court of Judges anymore.)

If I didn’t know better I say they have been told by higher powers, to stall until after the inauguration, or maybe not to address the issue at all.

But they have one real BIG problem, Berg is a very astute lawyer who has argued several cases before their Court in the past. He is well known to them, and they know he is not going away.

I have been interested in Dr. Keyes since he came on the national scene ...

He is quite eloquent ...

But I have been disappointed by many of his political choices ...

I think he should have listened more to his spiritual nature with regards to being patient ...

Hence ...

He has been marginalized and will be discarded by history as a footnote.

Having said that ...

The issue of standing is very intrigueing in his case.
