What's The Real Story Regarding Conspiracies, Prophecy, and 2012?
I like many others here at the DP am very interested in all the conspiracies and prophecies that pertain to the present and very near future. Just last night I was watching a History Channel show on Mayan Prophecy, Nostradamus and the predicted end time date of Dec, 21, 2012. Now, don't you think that if a program is being aired on a mainstream corporate channel that it probably is not the truth? Or, at the very least is manipulated and distorted in an attempt to throw us of the trail of the real agenda at hand. Is the apocalypse really about to occur, or is it all just a hoax to sell us something like the scenario described in the Project Blue Beam videos?
What is the real truth behind all of these mysteries? Let's hear your best explanations of what you think will happen leading up to 2012.

The History Channel
I saw this show as well. Ridiculously painful to watch. Wondered why they kept repeating the same thing over and over again? Perhaps this is the way all cable shows are these days (we actually watched it over a friend's house.) Anyway, interpreters take Nostradamus prophecy and warp in to fit some doomsday scenario. I was reading his prophecy 15 years ago when supposedly it was predicting 'the big shaking' back in 2000. It is funny now to look back at some of these old books I have and see how much was 'dis-construed.' And the drawings of N recently found? Myself and those with me found ourselves interpreting them very differently than the talking TV.
Mayan prophecy, well, that's another story . . .
Of course this would all be a perfect set-up for Project Blue Beam, that is if you believe it exists. I've heard about it, but never delved that deep into researching it.
I personally believe...
that the U.S. breaking up is the most likely scenario in the next few years. China will dominate our West Coast. I saw it happening in a very realistic dream I had about eight or nine years ago. Bush and the rest of the NWO flunkies will slither down to their South American retreats, while the world fights over the fresh carcass of our once proud nation. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if Maitreya performs some sort of "miracle" that will make the masses of sheep think he is the new Messiah.

Since they control the media, how do we know they're not bending the truth to fit their own agendas? What if this is, the fake blow up tank on the battlefield? A huge smoke screen for what they really have in store for us. I mean, I have never seen anything on tv about the Georgia Guidestones.

I remember watching a History channel special in 2000, that Nostradamus predicted either July or August (can't remember) 2001 was the end date.
Nostradamus did not predict the end of the world anytime soon.
The quatrains were said, or at least interpreted, to go on at least another thousand years, with the end of the world prophesied to be a supernova or some other sort of solar event.

I'm with you livingthedream, I think string theory ties in with god in a way. God is "the greatest known existence." If all these different wavelengths (strings) of energy are somehow coexisting or working together in a way, then they could in fact be though of as an entity....hence "god".

I saw the same show yesterday. I thought it was quite ironic because the day before i was reading up on the mayan calendar and 2012, somehow i got off on a tangent from that while i was reading about string theory. (An interesting theory if you are up for it.) I think we are in for a hell of a 3 years. 2012 is definitely going to be an interesting year...our sun will be at the center of the milky way, our magnetic poles will be reversed, not to mention the predicted solar storms.
Hopefully our government will not take action trying to prevent or dieter these occurrences, because i believe there is nothing we can do as humans to change these upcoming events. If you think about it, we as humans are a very fragile and delicate species in our universe, and although we like to think the contrary, we have no control over nature or the earth.
The interesting thing about 2012 is that many ancient calendars(Chinese (I-Ching i think), Mayan, Aztec) point to December of 2012 as either the end of the world or a transition into a different time period of the earth, marked by some cataclysm. So, the only thing we can do is wait and see what happens.
