The cops weren't running...you can even hear the marchers say "just follow the cops" ... no need to mislead people if your points are true and valid....

Anti-war demonstrations in London are typically huge and consist of two major factions these days: socialists and muslims. Sad, but true.

of all the paulites who showed up at the washington march. Our message is strong and true. We do not have to "beat" it into someone's head. After 4 or 5 months of obama the American people will be hungry for truth. We do not need to bang heads, just open their eyes. Our strength will be in our numbers not in our fists.

Yet Another Misleading Post/Video
The cops weren't "running " from muslims. They were leading the protesters on a chosen route and yes they were in front of the group but they weren't running away. I saw one cop knock a head or two along the way. Cops were in control of the direction of that crowd.
This place has turned into innuendo/spin central, no more credibility than Rachel Maddow or any other spin group.
Post it/spin it out of context and let the sparks fly.

The nonsense that they were somehow 'leading' this parade is almost embarrassing. They were not in control. Whenever they 'confronted' someone, even clubbing them with riot batons, they were routed, turned and continued their retreat.

I Saw A Mob
refusing to obey the peace officers while they protested the war in Gaza. I also saw a mob of people who do not fit in with the society they are attempting to overrun. Any country that admits muslims is in danger of the same events.
You Weren't There
Thats just your view of things from a limited point in time. The police do lead protest marches so as not to let the crowd get into a corner or confined space where all manner of bad stuff can happen.
I'd like to know if it was a planned/permitted march or a spontaneous protest. My guess is it was planned and the police were doing exactly what they should have been doing (leading the crowd).
Since the video or the author of the post did not reveal the circumstances, I see it as propaganda designed to make you believe something with images that are out of context.

Unarmed police only work when the entire population agrees to respect and obey. The British population has, but they have opened the floodgates of immigration and the newcomers just aren't buying it. May the Lord have mercy on Great Britian, because they won't find much anywhere else until they grow a new backbone and make their own.

Looks like it was a preplanned protest of some sort and the Police were not there to interfere but only to assist with traffic or the like.

We know what we see, as stated before. We will never know the truth of any situation anywhere since we only rely on the MSM and the Gov't for info.
What I saw were police, not assisting with traffic, as you describe but standing in the protester's path partially challenging them and then retreating. Wisely so, too since the mob seemed twenty times their number.
What I saw were police fleeing for their safety.

Basically, I Don't Think We're Being Shown The Entire Story
The Police knew that they were not going to stop that crowd from doing whatever they desired, as such.
They were obviously out-numbered, so what was their purpose for being there?
Countries, if not all Countries know how to stop crowds, they have the equipment and can call in a military backing if they so choose.
I just don't think that the Police were there to stop them. The story is incomplete in my view.

There were also folks calming the protesters down from time to time, in an attempt to keep it peaceful I'm presuming.
Also, the folks speaking towards the Police could have been ones being sarcastic, you know, they had a feeling of superiority and was just riding it too boost their egos.
Purpose for being there
Maybe they were there to deter the Christian population from causing an escalation in violence.
This was definitely a planned demonstration, the marchers were holding signs and what not. When the Catholics and Protestants unite behind a common enemy, trouble could be brewing.
The idiot calling the police cowards doesn't realize that one day the cops might not be there to ensure their peaceable protest march. When the boys from Liverpool come clubbing that punk will be running.

Whenever the police are on site....
..their purpose is the show of government force. They may stand on the sidelines, or ring the perimeter or stand directly in front of a group as a blockade. These UK police were obviously trying to serve as a blockade for a group that refused to be blocked. Since they were vastly outnumbered, they back-peddled - then turned and ran.
No, we'll never get the truth from the MSM or our gov't but we must disseminate what we see and try to make sense of it.
And yes, I saw the woman, obviously a march organizer, trying to reel the Muslim crowd back in. The horror in her face and voice when she realized her obvious mistake told the whole story. She came in with a light heart and blinders on and was rudely awakened by those she came to support.

Our cops
tend to be bullies. I'm not sure how they would react to a large, hostile, ETHNIC crowd.
I remember the LA riots and they were reduced to bystandiing while people looted right in front of them.

My wife is from Malmo, Sweden, and we went there last summer to visit family. I honestly felt like I was in the Middle East. Now don't get me wrong, some of the Middle Eastern people were nice, but quite a few are rude, and act as if they rule the city. My wife's cousin has been harassed many times when she worked in a super market near one of the downtown areas predominantly lived in by Muslim people.
I think the worst thing is that Swedes talk a big talk behind closed doors, but they do nothing about the situation. I heard almost every family member on my wife's side complain about it, but never do they take action of any form.
In a way though.....minus the violence toward your fellow citizen, and definitely not the evils such as rape, murder, and hatred........we could take a lesson from these Muslim people and use some of their tactics to take back America. I mean some of the civil disobedience, and bonding together as they do. I don't want to be a trouble maker, but when our government shoves us, we damn right better shove back. If you read some of the articles in the link above my reply (in the link (SteveMT gave, and you should read them for information) you will read that the police are scared of these people......and isn't that what the government is supposed to do.....fear the people? I mean the Swedish government will not do anything to stop these people, because the Muslims may revolt, or make waves.......shouldn't the American people do the same? I mean we should stand our ground, help our fellow Americans, and keep the government in check.
After reading SteveMT's link, I got to thinking......we should be similar to these people, we should use some of their tactics (not the evil ones, where you infringe on others God given rights), but the ones of civil disobedience..........isn't it time, and if not now, .....when?
What do you think? I do not condone violence, but I DO proudly encourage ones right to self defense! Isn't the government robbing from us (direct taxes, seizing property), aren't they killing us (through undeclared war, and other means) aren't they separating our families (through stupid drug wars, and sending people to prison for things that are truly not crimes), aren't they taking away our most personal liberties? If this is not invasion of ones life, or a dictatorship, I do not know what is? They drew first blood, they pushed first, they started this, so would this not be self defense, and self preservation? I don't see it as violence, or starting chaos....I see it justified.

synopsis of the situation in Sweden and even more with your keen perception of using that protest/government fear-model as a means for us to insituite a change in our own government. I do not believe these changes will come from the top down that is sure. These legislators must be forced because they have been taken over/seduced, whatever you want to call it. They are no longer on the people's side. Two-percent of the population is what it took for the colonies to break away from from the British. Nowadays, that means about six million Americans. Perhaps our numbers are growing, but it seems there are too few of us now to muster those necessary numbers of partriots. One way is indeed to go head-to-head with our government, like you are advocating. The other alternative is to by-pass the government., like regional or individual states to first come up with a new currency system, like the thread about "Ohio State Senator Files Gold Money Bill" or the Lakotah People withdrawing from the America. The pushing and the shoving that you recommend is indeed happening in various ways now, like losing a job, retirements wiped-out, increased violence, and especially abandoning the Constitution.
I appreciated reading your "rant" very much, much more so than what many on this site have decided to put their energy into ranting about of late! Thank you for continuing to contribute such well thoughtout comments.

We all need some encouragement at times, and it is because...
you don't respond often is why I made it a point of answering. The DP can be brutal at times and very unforgiving with tare-down types of comments. If anything I tend to say too much, and I've paid the price for it. If you have something to say, go for it.
This world mess is going to get ugly quickly I fear, so the "defending my family" part of what you said could occur. Do your best to get ready for what is coming our way. You know all of things by now. Stay calm, but vigilant.

I feel like our country is represented by the Swedes in your story. The problem is that the group of people has to be huge because the cops and military come out in swat gear and have no compuncture whatsoever about killing. As a matter of fact, anyone who leads something like that will probably be picked off before they get the chance to lead an actual march of any kind. Dr. Kent Hovind is in jail right now along with his wife for teaching creationism, but they put him in jail for paying his ministery employees with cash and not signing into the 501c3 game forced upon ministries. But here we are allowing him to be in jail and her too. He is a scientist turned minister who teaches support of the Biblical creationism.
