Rangel to Reintroduce Military Draft Measure

A draft that included the children and grandchildren of congress would end the wars, immediately.

Let's have some more "If they ever draft me, I'll revolt!", from the mouths of men who signed up for the selective service, because the government told them to.

Rangel's previous version of this Bill, H.R. 393, would require MANDATORY national service from ALL PERSONS aged 18 to 42.

NOTE, it is both mandatory and for all persons (meaning both males and females).

In my opinion, I believe this Bill is introduced during each session and sits in the back wings of Congress for when it is needed. I believe this is a "just in case we need it" sort of thing, despite Rangel saying that he does it just to ruffle some feathers (and waste taxpayer money while doing so for that purpose).

so parents and family members can be randomly selected would surely strengthen the efforts of peace. Would it not inspire more citizens to consider peaceful resolutions? Just a question.

The time is almost ripe for something so absurd to pass.
Before that happens the unemployment needs to rise more,then they can strengthen the war machine.

It's a shame our Congressmen have so much extra time on their hands to waste congressional time with this rediculous non-sense. We wouldn't need any discussion of a draft if our Government would stop getting us into policeing conflicts around the world. Who are we to police the world? How about working on something with meaning, like cutting our spending around the world and taking care of your own. I just don't understand how government thinks they can fix our over in-debted economy with more debt. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out we need to stop spending and let the free market work. It appears to me that the government is just daring "We the People" to march on Washington and take back our Constitutional rights.

Oh, I can feel a draft. Can you please close the doors on the new Congress and keep them closed. Thanks.

I suspect that one day soon that we will have a draft to do the bidding of the globalist but, I can assure that my military aged boys are not going to participate in anymore lies. (Maybe they can lay low in Rangel's mansion in Santo Domingo). Maybe we can call on him (and several others) after the revolution....

That's great a couple of months ago we got thousands of calls to congress and almost killed the thing, but then the demons over in the senate passed a bloated version of the bill.
I guess no one cares anymore-its all about the superbowl.

Regarding the Draft

I think it is preposterous to allow our children to go to some God forsaken place in the Middle East to get blown up or brain damaged or so emotionally and mentally traumatized they might come back an entirely different person. The wars that we are involving ourselves in our against our American spirit and against common sense during this time of economic crisis. Furthermore, here's a really good point. Should you start a war you cannot finish and cannot win? No, of course not, yet that is what we are doing every day and it is appalling. As far as the draft, to you who were asking and to Jive, my brother signed up as a conscientious objector and nothing bad happened to him. The draft is insane and people need to wake up to this fact.
