Martin Luther King Jr. Thread!

I do think he is a great figure who fought for something we at DP should absolutely support. Freedom for Everyone , no matter what color.
We all feel victims and are angry about an out of control govt today. Imagine the whole black people before the civil rights movement. The same govt at most levels of society governed them as second class citizens and did not give them the rights we are trying to defend today.
I do not know how you celebrate Martin Luther King Jr. but I would like a discussion on his importance and ideas he fought for.
Here is a site you can watch his speaches and read his writtings.

MLK was a commie
and a philanderer and plagiarist...
What values would he have that I should respect again????
Most people are caught up in the deification of MLK. When in all actuality he was nothing more than and preacher who led his flock astray into the arms of social engineering.
My bank was closed and that was a bummer.

What I can't figure out
is why our government killed him yet they created a national holiday in his honor. It reminds me of a PBS commercial I saw. It was about American history and it said something like where we've been, where we're going and it showed pictures of dead men and events all killed and orchestrated by our government. It was rather ironic. As if history for America is the ability to kill whomever they choose. And then rub it in our faces. Your great leaders who affect change will all die that is the history of our America. A constant reminder to anyone who thinks they want to take on the bankers.
i am sickened by those who seek to point out...
the "faults" of a man without giving due process to the goodness of a man...i pity you and your close-mindedness...
this man, MLK, was killed simply because he spoke out in public the very same ideals that which you speak from the comfort of your home...
listen to these speeches and tell me how you are different from him...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=92-r05TH9qs&feature=related
and listen to the first 10 minutes of this one if you're not too busy sucking up to the "man" and the "msm" and attempting to disenfranchise DP'ers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b80Bsw0UG-U
are you perfect? i thought not...
are you willing to die for your beliefs? he was...and more than that, he KNEW he was about to die for speaking out and marched toward that sword spreading the "word" of Americanism and freedom...would you?
if not, don't soil this man's memory with your cowardice and ignorance and msm spewed hatred...reach higher than that or die on your knees...
O Captain, My Captain, rise up and hear the bells!

Why Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican
http://www.nationalblackrepublicans.com/index.cfm?fuseaction...
By Frances Rice
It should come as no surprise that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. was a Republican. In that era, almost all black Americans were Republicans. Why? From its founding in 1854 as the anti-slavery party until today, the Republican Party has championed freedom and civil rights for blacks. And as one pundit so succinctly stated, the Democrat Party is as it always has been, the party of the four S's: Slavery, Secession, Segregation and now Socialism.
It was the Democrats who fought to keep blacks in slavery and passed the discriminatory Black Codes and Jim Crow laws. The Democrats started the Ku Klux Klan to lynch and terrorize blacks. The Democrats fought to prevent the passage of every civil rights law beginning with the civil rights laws of the 1860's, and continuing with the civil rights laws of the 1950's and 1960's.

Until just now, I never knew ....
...that MLK was actually a "marxist", a "socialist", had orgies, and beat his many woman, after reading some of the stuff below. Sure some of this might be true or it could be all crap, but my point is that none of that stuff matters to me. Before you start getting mad and stop reading, just ask yourself -what people would say about Dr. Paul if he was taken out by the elites just as MLK was? First they'd call him a racist then they'd say he was a communist sympathizer for going on Russia Today so many times, and who knows, they could say he was working for the KGB! The list would go on.
My point is, MLK should be viewed as a hero, just like Dr. Paul views him, because he was a freedom fighter for EVERYONE, not just black people, everyone! *That's why he died*. He knew he was up against the same elites we are fighting today and they do not want us all working together. They know the only way they can stay in power is if there is a continued seperation of groups and races.
--So, if your pro-NWO, keep up the MLK trash talk, because thats who it benefits guys!

That is an excellent post ...
One thing to note:
The only reason why we know all this about MLK is because he was treated like the patriot act was in effect and had an FBI tail every day of his life.
I wonder sometimes if Paul has a file that is growing by the day.

The info the FBI collected on MLK?
What interest of theirs, was it to say he wasn't bad? You can't kill a guy if you trail him and find out he was good. They had no choice but to say he was bad. He was a threat to the establishment, what the FBI came up with after that, should be veiwed with skepticism. I don't pretend to know MLK, none of us knew him. He couldv'e been a horrible guy personally, but I doubt it. What I do know is that, he was anti-war, pro-human rights, and for equality and freedom for all. And he wasn't just "for" those things, he DID something about it. Thats good enough for me.
BTW Rhino, Thanks for the compliment. I'd didn't think we'd ever agree on something, it feels really weird to be honest.

I was under the impression
that the FBI files on him are sealed until a future date. How then can you come to the conclusion that the information regarding MLK is from the FBI? I believe that the information about him comes from independent research and from people that knew him personally.
LOL ... I just went back and reread what I wrote ...
four times to make sure I didn't say something that was wrong.
Nope, I didn't.

People's core feelings about blacks come through loud and clear when they see an oportunity to "shed light". The masters have always been much safer with all us slaves fighting amongst ourselves.

I think that hits every point that his critics have been ...
using to discredit him.
How about adding some balance to that quiz ...
Like a few of the good things he accomplished.
I would add a list, but you seem to have done a good job of researching the lynching sites, so I am sure you could handle it.

The point rhino...
...is to counter the false illusions put out by the NWO propoganda machine, and to reveal just how the Communists work; taking a populist movement, giving the illusion one thing is being done while actually accomplishing something entirely different. I think the "good list" you refer to has been given ample coverage by MSM. Was MLK a Communist? Who can say without question; not I, but knowing their MO and the fact he was trained in Leninist techniques, not to mention his own Marxist admissions and associates, would give credence to the idea he knew full well what he was doing. That is the insideous nature of Leninist operations; 90% "good" so we swallow the pill without a whimper.

I just have to add my two cents
MLK may have said the right things, but the man behind the message was very immoral and a socialist. Him and his gang were auctually funded and supported by the same elites that funded and supported his opposition. They were hoping to engineer an environment that would bring in a communist type revolution for the good of everyone of course. luckily they weren't succussful.

i'm trying to find the info that i come across a few years back that exposed MLK for what he really was. there was an agenda behind his whole civil rights 'agenda'.
if you have any links to what you said that speaks of what you wrote i would love it if you would post them.
i had pics somewhere of him attending communist meetings.
i've got to find this stuff so i can post it.

If you'll note,
the only time he ever said that is during his campaign. Never before. I think this was campaign strategy to preempt the rascist newsletters (not written by Paul) that they knew where going to come out during the campaign.

So a guy writes an article and you're a racist, therefore MLK
is bad. Do you you miss "White's Only" stuff? poor little fella can't deny the negros service?? What the fuc% dude? MLK did not write the civil rights bill, politicians did. They took his message and warped it into more control over everyone. You racists make me sick. Racists of all colors are playing right into the NWO's hands. They love division among the people. And for a while, they even had a large number of people oppressing others which made their job even easier. Wake the hell up.

your response is upsetting to me mike.
i just reread it. perhaps including obama was what did it. the only reason i did it is because that he and mlk are being glorified for what they are NOT. if he was not a black (or whatever he is) i would have said the same thing.
first i'm not a guy and second why did you put me in a group - "You racists make me sick."? and third i'm not a racist.
i think you own me an apology for your over the top reaction.
what you said was just plain mean. you did NOT understand what i was saying.

it's not about race mike.
the guy was just not what he has been made out to be.
i am not racist. i like black people. where i grew up there were alot of black people. when i went to the islands there were alot of black people. i like black people alot. here in maine there are hardly any and i miss that.
so what i said was not at all to do with race. i would say the same thing if he was, i don't know, anything else.
i'm speaking of what he did and said. period.
Ron Paul is my President

Why is it
that if someone disagrees with a black person, they're immediately labeled a racist. Because Sunny has done some research into who and what MLK really was does not make her a racist. It makes her intelligent enough not to be willing to swallow whatever propaganda they like to feed us in grade school and on the 6 o'clock news. If you look into his character, you'll find he was no hero.
