A lot of you hate Obama ( and you are perfectly entitled to your feelings ) - but he will soon be your new president, whether you like it or not !
Right about now ( 10:00 AM EST ), Obama is in a church in DC, seeking a blessing on his presidency - from the same mythical being that a lot of you believe in.
Can your "GOD" grant your wishes, and, at the same time - deny his requests ?

I have already accepted that we are in for a long bumpy journey. I do hope though that if Obama fails people will begin to wake up and see that RP was right. I will not take wishing for a civil war off the table though.

As a woman of color, I'm proud. I'm glad to know that FINALLY other people of color can STOP using their color as a crutch for not succeeding and getting ahead. NO more EXCUSES. Now I hope President Obama does great GOOD things for our country. To do that, HE WILL HAVE TO ABANDON some of his UNCONSTITUTIONAL IDEALS. So yes I pray that my wishes be granted because of HOPE (Having Optimism Provides Encouragement). I'm torn here: If it's God's plan that Obama will hold firm to his unconstitutional ideal that will be detrimental to our country then I hope it will only be 4 years, but I wish unfortunately for his impeachment sooner and as some will same: He has screwed it up now for people of color. Other peoples fears and prejudices could make life a little more challenging for me. Oh well, thy will, be done. I'm NOT torn AT ALL. As a member of this r3VOLution, I will endureath until my dying breath.
Oh yeah, I'm glad Bush is OUT and so glad McCain is not in. At we know who Obama is(no surprise). McCain lying to our face about being "the most conservative" is disgusting!

I have felt that this was an opportunity for young people of color to have a vision and a hope of what they can become. But, other than that, Obama is just another criminal with a different line. There are some things I do like about him. The way he treats his family. He seems to take that job very seriously. Most of the former presidents did not.
But his policies and voting record show a man who does not follow the Constitution or the God he pretends to pray to. "The prayer of a righteous man availeth much." Prayers should be directed at aligning your will and actions with God's will; not bringing Santa Claus to town. Somehow I think he believes more in the latter.

God is the
spirit within you who is seeking to evolve even through this three ring circus we are witnessing. Freedom of choice is God given.
Anything that tries to take away human freedom is in time doomed to fail. We are meant to live in peace and FREEDOM and that is our gift.
In time we will back track if we all head down the wrong path. God is that LIGHT that continually calls us back to the right path and freedom of choice must be part of that choice.
The American constitution is good wisdom to follow because it is based on the inalienable right to freedom of the individual. We are not meant to be in servitude to any government or president. Freedom empowers the individual.
Seeking to be looked after by the state dis-empowers the individual. Giving up your freedom for the promise of security and choosing to not be responsible for your own choices is giving away your power to others. It is not as God meant for us when he gave us freedom of choice to create our lives as we choose, and to be responsible for those choices. We are also free to change our mind about choices and choose again. It is all part of the winding path of evolution. We learn as we go along what works and what does not work.

Study Biblical history and you will have your answer. When Israel turned their backs on Him and His commands, He let them have what they wanted, a fallen man to rule over them, along with the additional problems that this entails.

Sounds alot like the last hundred years in this country.
He may be receiving a blessing from one of his false prophets, but wicked kings in the Old Testament received blessings from their false prophets as well, while the true prophets condemned the wicked kings activities. The determining factor was wether or not they were being obedient to God's laws. Leaders in our government began engaging in gross theft, unjust wars etc. about 100 years ago and we are just now reaping the fruits of these atrocities agains God and His messiah, King Jesus. The people of these United States should have revolted when they tried to impliment the Federal Reserve, income and property taxes or with any restriction placed on our God given rights as individuals made in God's image. Our founding fathers would be ashamed of our passivity while our elected officials infringed on our rights.

Apathetic, really. I am so glad Bush is gone, I'm also glad McCain isn't in. I of course am very apprehensive about Obama, don't trust him an inch. On the bright side, my homeschooled son and I will watch the inauguration for the swearing in ONLY. Just the few sentences. Later, when we study the Constitution, we'll make notes of how many times that oath is broken.

worthily...it would make sense that one should be in conformity with the laws of God and His will. God has a plan. by His very nature He is out of the constraints of time and can see the whole picture. what we can do is to exercise our faith in the belief that God's plan is better than ours and pray that our will be in conformity with His plan/will... try to do the right things in life -in conformity with God's laws/will/plan.

It's ridiculous that any government official seek the blessing of "god" as it is their mission to subvert the laws of god and become false idols above him. They promote worship of the state, war, usury, subversion, destruction of the family unit and contribute to the immorality of the citizens and ultimately the destruction of their lives. Any government who does not yield power to the people sins against "god" and it is a sin for the people themselves to allow this. God acts through the individual, the state is a great collectivist evil. Today is a very sad day, indeed ...
The shallow apathetic masses drinking and getting drunk on their punch is scary. All I know is I had
nightmares and didn't get much sleep. I dreamt he took all our money and made a weapon that he proudly showed off that he demonstated would dissolve right through your glasses and clothing and said he hoped we would be fully understanding of his policies so it would never have to be used on us. There were no funds for jail so if we revolted we would have to be disinigrated. I woke up while running for my guns loved ones and other freedom lovers. I'm still shaky. It was so real.

I don't "hate" Obama - I am just aware of the farce: From Neocon to Neocon-Lite. He may actually believe the crap his speech writers put in his script - I have no way of knowing. What I do know is propaganda techniques and that millions of people are in a frenzy right now - so laying low for a few weeks is a good idea, otherwise the hatred will be focused on US.

I see today...
as a another step in our long journey. The unaware are mostly of good intentions and once their great leader fails them they will wake up like many woke up under their great leader Booosh.
The media can only keep their hollow man inflated for so long. And in the slim chance I am wrong about Obama, I wish him clear sailing and may he work in the best interest of our Republic.
