I Was Moved to Regularity By Obama's Address
Obama in my mind is an illegitimate president. However I see alot of positive things today. I see alot of people ready to do the right things for the right reasons because of the wrong inspiration. America elected a black man - ANY black man will do in order to show that we could, and now HAVE. We have officially "grown up" as a nation in that regard- that alone is pretty cool. While the behind the scenes status quo is carried out and the same agenda s followed by this slick orator, the duped populace, as the result of a fake starter-pistol, is out of the gate and inspired to be good Americans . Because of an illegitimate Chicago politician, the rest of the world is seeing us in a new light- ready to give us the benefit of the doubt. Things could be alot worse. Im reminded of that Steve Martin movie "Leap of Faith" where his character, Jonas Nightingale is a crooked tent revivalist duping crowds into thinking he's healing people- until because of one person's own faith, he actually IS healed. Obama's miracles (promises/ change) may be fake- but the duped majority think they're real. Hopefully their own "faith" (hard work) will cause the miracles they are looking to him to perform.
Obama is better than ex-lax ! he makes you regular.

written. What we must remember is that the people voted for BO in good faith. They wanted to raise the bar and improve things, it is not their fault that BO has No intention of doing the right thing. I remember once when I voted for Bush, (so sorry) it wasn't until after discovering Dr. Paul and finding out the candidates are puppets did I wise up. Please, give these people time eventually they will wake up. It may be on the way to a fema camp but sooner or later they will have a RUDE AWAKENING.

I hope neither. The movement is not going away it is strenghthening worldwide. It is only mature to give your new pousa the benefit of the doubt. If he proves to have fooled the majority then the rest of the world can truly believe that the majority of americans are as stupid as we are observing. We have our own cross to bear in europe/elsewhere and that is why you have visitors who support Ron Pauls' ethics and knowledge on this site. I try to look on the bright side and hope that we have change. Dr Ron Paul and his supporters do not hold the only hope and change worldwide franchise. It would be nice if that was so but it hasn't happened yet. I guess it because of too many individuals fighting on their own terms and not collectively. God knows why the Pilgrims only travelled in one ship, The Mayflower, when they could have gone separately because I can't fathom it either.

Nowhere in my thread do I offer nods to Obama- on the contrary I refer to him as an illegitimate Chicago politician whom I compare to a crooked tent evangelist. The point of my post is to try to find at least some small silver lining in the American people and their ability to do the right things if for the wrong catalyst ( in dealing with one another ). Hardly pro-Obama propaganda- overestimating Americans maybe...
Believe me, so were the people in Hitler's era!

I fail to see how electing an unqualified and socialistic power broker into office, just to satisfy some sort of "politically correct" notion, can be construed to be "growing up as a nation".
But then, maybe that's just me.
We havent grown up in terms of electing outside of the
"beauty pageant" mentality or we'd have President Paul today- but we HAVE elected a person of colour. In that regard we could have elected P Diddy and accomplished that. 62 million people felt (albeit totally misguidedly) that the best person for the job was a man who happens to be black. There is no denying that this is progress. Now we just need to grow out of the beauty pageant/ duopoly crap.

Jinc. I agree because I'm not american. I've been at Daily Paul for over a year and I would have wished for no-one less that Dr. Ron Paul to have been your President today. However, I need to give Obama the benefit of doubt assuming he has the majority mandate. Reading the Whitehouse website looks reasonable to an outsider and one who has visited the uSA many times and I wish for the best for the american way and its people.
(Not forgetting the crap which all new political leaders spout in elections and in the job thereafter, of course. Aka Blair & - Brown who we didn't elect).
