Breaking News: "America Has Arrived"

0 votes

Deuteronomy 28 is clear that one of "...the curses upon a nation that goes their own way is that the foreigner among you will rise higher and higher, that he will be the head and YOU will be the tail. That you will have blindness and madness and confusion of mind. That you will be restless and fruitless, that your purse will have holes in it, that your children will be given over to foreign gods, and ultimately that you will eat your own children in the siege of your cities."

We just got to see us inaugurate a man that was born out of wedlock, the son of a man that was a polygamist (who at the time he married Obama's mother didn't tell her that he was already married), a president who technically may not even be a citizen of the United States. I don't say any of this to be critical or insulting or make any comment on his leadership potential or anything like that.

I mention this simply to point out that as a nation we have arrived. Deuteronomy 28 is in full bloom on our nation.

Be very alert.

A Sobering Read

If you want to get a sobering view of what may very well come to America, take a look at Lamentations and Jeremiah, books from the Old Testament written by the prophet Jeremiah. The parallels are sometimes quite disturbing.

For those who believe that the United States is the new Israel (I do not), consider then what happened to the last country that broke their covenant with God.

Edit:
I realized that many of you may not be familiar with these books or the historical events that they chronicle. Jeremiah was much like Ron Paul in some ways, a voice of reason in a time of foolishness. Even as Israel was sinking beneath corruption and immorality, Jeremiah at times seemed to be the only voice warning of their approaching doom. He saw the armies rising the east in Babylon, and he realized that their corruption and pride were going to consume them. For several decades, he pleaded and warned the people of Israel to change their ways.

He watched from the front lines as his predictions came to pass. Jerusalem was placed under siege and thousands of people died from starvation. The people were then enslaved and scattered around the known world. Jeremiah spent the rest of his life in Egypt in exile.

The parallels are amazing

for there being no connection between the United States and the New Jerusalem.

Actually, there is some logoc in this.

A nation that goes its own way has sunk down into materialism, greed, sensuality, and slothful pursuits. These are worldly pursuits of the left brain, and when you are worldly, you are not seeking that which is higher and you are not evolving spiritually. It leads to selfish pursuit of more things in the world, because of the terrible sense of "something missing". They do not realize that it is the connection to God that is missing.
