Obama's Speech - Freedom Opportunity... I know, it sounds crazy
Friends,
Yesterday I did some of these actions to get the ball rolling for freedom after Obama's speech.
Here are my action items I recommend, more details below the action items to give you insight as to why you may want to do the same things:
- Request that your company post the Constitution and the Declaration in each Cafe'/lunch room in your offices where you work.
- Send email to the President of the Company stating that the new President's speech specifically mentioned going back to our Founding Documents and you want to honour this request by having the documents available for all our employees to read. This will build morale both in business and as Americans.
- Talk with other employees about the idea of having the Founding Documents posted as many were mezmerized by Obama's speech and will do whatever he asked.
- Can someone make a 20 second You Tube showing where Obama said we need to go back to our Founding Documents? I don't know how to do that.
Why are we doing this? At the end of the day, Obama is the President. I can complain all I want, and I still do, about how I dislike Obama for violating his oath to The Constitution, continuing the Bush tradition, keep the Federal Reserve, etc. However, the sheeple of the United States don't see that. We will fight losing battles until we get a majority in our country on level playing ground of the Constitution and the Declaration of the Independence.
I would also recommend we at DP and other freedom minded people read, "The Law" by Frederic Bastiat http://www.constitution.org/law/bastiat.htm (available online for Free). This document can be something we email friends as it is a short read that will directly answer questions people may bring up about why Obama is doing a poor job as President. Example: "What makes a good law?" or "What makes a bad law?" both are answered in the book.
I appreciate any feedback you have on my post, but I think we need to see opportunities rather than obstacles! Let's take this opportunity!!!
Make the Founding Documents Viral!

Foreclosed Homes....
John Podesta said that the president can use such orders to move quickly without waiting for Congress to act, highlighting the extraordinary powers a president can wield beyond signing legislation approved by Congress. Podesta said people should expect Obama to use those powers to reverse many policies of the Bush administration. ACORN is not going to have many roots left once everyone figures out what they're up to. President Obama hasn't disclosed just how close he is to this organization, but it is known they have ties to John Podesta, his transition team chief. The group, along with the Center for Responsible Lending, along with protesting payday loans (quite the hypocrisy) has taken to occupying foreclosed homes that are owned by lower income people. Remember ACORN lobbied so hard to make companies lend subprime mortgages. They claim their acts of trespassing are a form of social protest, protesting the foreclosure of loans on people who can't pay them. Not an ACORN of knowledge in their platform.
Clever idea, I love it!

oooohhhh!!!! NOT CRAZY AT ALL!!!! awesome idea!!!!
It is a great idea
Think that most of the government-school edu-macated masses will understand what they mean, though? ;)
How great! I can hear it now--we need to post these documents 'cause "our President" says we need to go back to our founding documents. The sweet irony of it all!
Brilliant idea!!
This is perfect. Wonderful observation - thank you for posting it.

Terrific idea,
use Obama's words to help make the Constitution popular -- even known -- again. I think one of the many reasons our movement has been in the doldrums for awhile is because the enemy was so diffuse as well as vast.
Now we have a clear adversary (the whole Obama adminstration.)
No longer is it just combating pretty, pandering phrases too vapid to get a clear shot at; now the Obamaforce must act and become a tangible target. Where they fail to deliver, where they overstep civil liberties, we will be there to point out each and every mis-step.
actions speak louder than words
~
Thank you, cicobiologist! we need more of this around here, IMHO ; >
A nun used to say to me "open your mouth and use your speaking tools" ~ lol
Your approach is non-threatening and gets the masses thinking again ... "open your brain and use your thinking tools"
Strike while the iron is hot ... while given the inauguration occasion, they have at the very least, a fleeting interest in these documents.
Wonderful Idea.
If people start relating to the Constitution and the founding fathers it will make Dr. Paul's message that much easier for them to digest. Thanks

So true, quiltingsando -
Very well put.

Sounds like Socialism to me.
Inauguration Speech, 1 minutes 50 seconds - 2:24...
I wanted to give everyone the exact place where the speech details the focus on the Founding Documents. Does anyone have the skills to make this a commercial for The Constitution and Declaration of Independence on You Tube.

"...yet every so often the oath is taken amidst Gathering clouds and raging storms. In these moments America has carried on, not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We, The People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forebearers and true to our Founding documents. So has been so it must be with this generation of Americans."
A law of Physics states, "For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction!"
By making this video viral, we could start a "Youth Birgade" that is faithful to the Founding documents...Imagine that?
Thank you all for the great comments. However difficult it is to read our Founding documents, we should always attempt to keep it in front of the People. Challenging friends to memorize small pieces of the documents where there is modern context will allow them to recall it at the exact moment we need them to act.
I will keep you updated on my success at work.

Great - thank you very much for the exact quote Cico.
It's not so difficult to read the Founding documents if you Google any unfamiliar terms. A good dictionary will have them too. Looking forward to your updates.

Good Idea
Perhaps we can bring him back from the dark side.
I know there is still good in vader.
I know you guys don't know me...
...but in my state they do, and I've been lurking here a long time.
I dunno...Obama talking about "go back to our Founding Documents" and he's all about some "change". Call me suspicious, but I hear "change our founding documents". We will see. Be ready to defend our Republic!
"Ours is the most solemn charge of all: to defend Liberty in this bleak hour lest the very notion that man might best govern himself be scoured from this land and from the conscience of mankind."

Great idea ! Good luck !

If you have ever read the Constitution, it's a long and often difficult document. There is no "The U.S. Constitution for Dummies" that I know of and grasping what it says is not easy. Will you put this up:
Immediately after they shall be assembled in Consequence of the first Election, they shall be divided as equally as may be into three Classes. The Seats of the Senators of the first Class shall be vacated at the Expiration of the second Year, of the second Class at the Expiration of the fourth Year, and the third Class at the Expiration of the sixth Year, so that one third may be chosen every second Year; and if Vacancies happen by Resignation, or otherwise, during the Recess of the Legislature of any State, the Executive thereof may make temporary Appointments until the next Meeting of the Legislature, which shall then fill such Vacancies.
The Declaration of Independence is great, but reading it is also difficult. Reading a couple of the amendments is easy, or maybe putting up the Constitution in bite-size segments would be the best way. Or just a couple of lines: Congress shall make no law... etc.
But, even if you do that, people have other things on their minds, other things to do: the kids need to go to the dentist; basketball practice, the car needs an oil change, the garbage disposal stopped working, American Idol is back on, and some friends are coming over on Saturday - what do we serve them for dinner?
So even if you get somone's attention for a few minutes to read, or listen to someone talking about, the Constitution, their minds are usually elsewhere. This is not diminishing the magnitude of the Constitution; it is that most people just aren't interested in grasping very dense prose, esp when there's a game on.
Thats a great idea!
I will go to HR tomorrow and tell them I will buy the big ones to put up if they let me!
few ideas...
I love to distribute copies of the Constitution Class by Michael Badnarik. I get good feedback from all types.
I also love to distribute copies of #3 on MDC. That's 'Overview of America'; it's #3 on http://MillionDollarCinema.com
I also love the Citizens Rule Book I got from Alex Jones, the Constitution Facts .com book
Keep it going...
Live free!
Read Ron Paul and Michael Badnarik!
Thanks so much for these ideas -
very valuable!
Debbie
How about
challenging friends/co-workers to memorize the Constitution and the Bill of Rights!
I love the idea. Why lay the cost on your boss?
Why not just "pledge" to do it. You know, serve the master, lol.

Spectacular Idea.
If Constitutions and Bill of Rights were posted in these kinds of places, people would read them. They would think about and discuss them more often.
If I could afford it I would buy copies of them and post them everywhere.
This should remain on the active topics list. I know there are patriots here that will do this. Brilliant idea cico.
Great idea, bigmike,
I would love to see the Declaration of Independence posted up too. I agree tis should remain on the active topics list!
Debbie
Wolf in Sheeple's clothing - brilliant!
Nice one.
