Agreed

I appreciate conversation, but I'm in favor of putting this on the back burner until more evidence can be found.

If by Bird, you meant UAV

Unmanned Aerial Vehicle

you all have google and know how to use it

or continue to believe a bird can fly that fast

or that there are little green men

try science nonfiction before guessing science fiction

It's called perspective

And sometimes it's hard to judge and interpret.

http://federalfallacy.com

it's a bird,

time to move on to more important issues.

Bird Bird Bird...Bird is da word

Bird...and I hope it pooped on someone

Does anyone think that maybe, just maybe with 2 million people

someone else would have captured this thing on film if was anything but a bird?
I crack up with these kinds of things because people give a still 2 dimensional camera all the qualities of the human eye and assume they have any clue as to how to judge depth or size. It's laughable.

"Graphic Artists Debunk UFO at Inauguration" article at ...

http://www.wivb.com/dpp/news/mysterious_object_zips_across_m... - Watch their short video and see for yourself how easy it is to put an object like that into any video!

Definitely a Bird

So obvious, look at this Hi-Quality Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a6jTAd-TVFM&fmt=18

1. The object flies in-front of the monument
2. If it is a UFO, it's likely about the size of a bird
3. Unless UFOs have bird wings, it's a bird.

A UFO is not necessarily a space ship from another planet. It's something that is not identified. However, in this case, I'd say it's likely a bird or even a bug. It goes all the way across the screen too. It doesn't disappear like in other lower quality videos.

that bird flew too fast for

that bird flew too fast for me.

i don't think it's a bird.

And download that higher

And download that higher quality video from youtube and look at it in a video editor frame-by-frame...you can see when the wings are flapping up and down. Trying to pause it in the embeded video player on breitbart.tv or youtube isn't going to allow for as much flexibility.

Here's the link for the actual CNN video embedded in the breitbart.tv website (I didn't bother looking to find any higher quality video directly from CNN): http://ht.cdn.turner.com/cnn/big/politics/2009/01/20/inaug.b...

Things look faster when

Things look faster when they're closer. Jets don't appear to be moving over head very fast when they're a couple miles up, even though they're moving at hundreds of miles per hour, but a little bird only 50 feet up moving at 20mph will cross through your view much faster, and even look bigger than the plane.

Wow, people, it was just a

Wow, people, it was just a bird...and relatively close to the camera.

How did you come to that conclusion?

'Cause that doesn't look like any bird I've ever seen. Check out some of the stills that are circling the net right now. They clearly show a cylindrical object in every frame.

You might not believe it, but the world is round and we revolve around the sun.

Still shots aren't going to

Still shots aren't going to tell you anything on such a low resolution. You have to look at the motion, the angle that it moves past the viewable area, the fact that it is in front of everything else in the video, including the national monument and the trees it's flying towards, the slight decrease in size at it flies at an angle outward from the camera relative, the slight bobbing up and down and slight fluttering you can see around the main body as it moves. You can especially see the flapping of the wings when it first comes into view on the right side of the screen.

I think it's so ridiculous that people don't realize it's a bird, I'm tempted to start taking measurements and plot out it's actual movement on grids from the view of the camera and a "birds-eye" view, relative to the area viewable on the camera and various points on the national monument...the national monument in the background would provide a great reference point.

I would go so far as to say that the bird is probably about the size of a robin, but certainly no larger than a crow.

You sure you want to use the word "clear?"

Because I'm not seeing anything "clear"

http://federalfallacy.com

Yep

I said on the stills, not the video.

Well then!

You must have the same hawk eyes as the hawk in the video :)

on the news

in Albuquerque. They did not report it as a photoshop trick.

All I saw was a helicopter.

All I saw was a helicopter. At what point in the video does the UFO show up?

Nui, That was a bird...I clearly see the flapping of the wings.

and his cute little beak...to mention nothing of the clear view of his third tail feather from the left. Besides it is so close to the camera.

Look here it is again...see it's cute beak.

Yes, a new species

of very large, fast cylinder shaped birds. Bird watchers around the world are very excited about this new discovery.

Melgesman....

thank you for clearing up that conspiracy.
Great detective work.

Sure...lots more where that came from.

Someone has threatened to do the math on ground coverage of the mall and the trajectory of the object. I wish he would. The mall is quite wide and it is hard to argue that the object crossed the lens completely (it didn't and rather disappeared into the distance between the first and second foreground trees, which it isn't apparently in front of). Have you ever walked the mall? It is no hop and skip across. It's big. Look at the panorama and note how many people abreast it fits. Mike, I'm sure you have walked it and realize how much ground would have to be covered in about a second.

The object, if soooo close to the lens would remain in the lens completely through to it's exit "stage left" (for you old "Snaggle Puss" fans). It doesn't it has a trajectory heading away from the lens which is besides the point when considering the amount of ground covered in the time allotted.

Interesting conundrum eh?
