...and slick with their spin. Most sheeple will not see through the numbers, and will probably assume that murders are up overall, not the numbers relative to the tool used to commit the murder. If people are intent to kill, they will kill...with whatever means they have at hand. This is definitely laying the groundwork for an attempted gun-grab.

I was furious when I watched this on CNN last night.

I keep having a similar argument with my friend, who opposes gun ownership. She is a Brit, and I had showed her the the Brit/gun control post on here. She thinks that the killing of the burglars by that farmer was excessive, young people shouldn't be killed for breaking in, etc etc etc, more gun ownership would have gun battles on the street. I don't understand why people cannot comprehend that if everyone can own a weapon and rightfully defend themselves and their property....there probably wouldn't be situations like that....people would know that if they break into someone's home, they will most likely be shot. I think it is the ultimate form of accountability / responsibility. If you take action A, result B will most likely happen. Deal with it.

The silver lining will be that the Democratic Party's new throne will be shattered, and we'll have a gridlocked Congress in 2010. No way will gun control be tolerated by the electorate, and the GOP has learned how to use this issue. Clinton learned this in 1994.

So the outcome did not remain the same.

The Clinton-Feinstein law resulted in the Republicans holding control of Congress for twelve years. Finally, after six years of the worst president in history, the Congress reverted to the Democrats. Now they have control of Washington again, and I can assure you that if they start banning guns again, they will not keep it.

...or parts of the ban. No mags over ten rounds.... no folding stocks....no muzzle brakes, etc..

Each time they try, the get a little more. The next ban may not have a sunset. Other states will see NJ's "wisdom" and enact state-level bans.

It's coming and it's unstoppable in my opinion.

Expect to see more headlines like this sensationalized over the coming weeks/months. They have to act fast....2010 elections may change everything and they know it.

They will strike while they are strongest.

On a federal level, I don't think it's going to fly. But with eastern states--we may see the Tenth Amendment suddenly pushed as a test case against the Second.

Good fight for us to get into, in my opinion.

I mean dude pops out opens fire and takes off ..... story leads to vid of "residents calling for stricter gun laws"... Mayor says " these kind of weapons are weapons of war.... and ont belong here or anywhere in Amerika" .... seems to fit together a bit too well. I wouldn't put a op like this past TPTB .....

All the key words are there..... assault rifle, gunned down, opened fire, shooting victims, started shooting, AK-47, weapons of war. Make sure that the sheep know that a GUN was used. Especially an assault rifle.
