Well, I'm a little hesitant to post this, but some hints for "Looters" like me...

...since I'm famous for "looting" the grocery stores (at least, in our family), I wondered if anyone else is taking advantage of automated sites like couponmom.com to get stuff either for free, or at greatly reduced prices?

There's gold in them there "coupons"...

My most famous coupon week? I once spent a week "looting" Giant chain stores as fast as I could (there were 4 on my drive to work). Walked out of each with 2 shopping carts at a time stuffed with food (all my little Escort could hold) - the total bill? Free - every trip through the register... In fact, they owed me money, but they wouldn't pay it... I didn't argue - much... I did do it every day for a week, though...

It's a semi-easy way to get your cellar full of canned goods and other supplies on the cheap!

Oh, and I'm a smoker - for those of you that partake, here's another way save some cash - a Top-O-Matic injector, tubes and bulk tobacco puts a quality cigarette together, better than commercial in my opinion, for about 50 cents/pack (vice $5+ here in Maine)... Takes about 10 mins to make a pack... seedman.com has tobacco seeds and plans for a curing box for those who like a "nearly free" price...

Starve the beast...

I don't consider it looting.

I'd have to say it is smart shopping. My wife goes to several sites and gets coupons. You have to save money any way you can, and we save alot.

wal-mart

I say we maliciously go after wal-mart with these coupons!

/pirate voice on!
AGHRRRRRR!

They refuse

Stores here will not take printed from the net coupons...I found out 6 months ago...I had enough coupons to get things that would have cost me about 80.00 for less than 2.00...and they flat out refused...Said it was a new policy...They then ask me to put everything back...I just walked out

What about coupon dad?

What about coupon dad?

My wife does

My wife uses a pay site called "Sisters of Savings" to help. We usually buy a double coupon paper on Sunday. She has walked out of stores with $30 worth of groceries for free. One of our best trips was $185 for $450 worth of groceries including brisket, ground beef, steaks, etc.... The sisters of savings site cost $10/month and the papers cost $1.99 for a double edition. We have stocked our entire pantry with dry and canned goods from the savings.

You should try

You should try to get over to your local newspaper building on Mondays, when the delivery people bring their extra Sunday papers back for recycling. There is usually just a garage bay of some sort where they walk right in and off-load them.

My local allows me to take extra coupon inserts. I then trade them with people from around the country, as other states get different cents-off amounts. My stores double (and sometimes triple) coupons up to $1.00, so I trade the $1.00 off 2 version for the .50 off 1.

My best trips used to be back in 2005-6 when the stores paid me money to take their items, LOL. Then they got wise to it and stopped.

My sign says....

You loot, I shoot.

Details

please.

How much do you get hassled?

by the coupon sites ? You have to give your name, address, tel.#, and e-mail to join the site (couponmom.com)...too much info for my comfort.
I'm assuming that you are bombarded with sales pitches via mail, e-mail and/or telephone? I'm sure there's a catch, right? Nothing is absolutely free.......

Hi bdunn,

The only thing worse than no data is corrupt data...

If you were so inclined, you could make up everything but the email - then, you just get a free one at yahoo or hotmail or whatever just for stuff like this.
