DEA Robs Man at Airport.

The guy's a professional poker player, and he bought an airline ticket for cash. The thugs took that as an excuse to rob him of all the cash he had on him, plus a rather expensive watch.

The cops are the robbers. This must end.

60 Minutes did a story about this years ago. Anybody buying an airplane ticket for cash is suspect and subject to all kinds of nastiness.

As well, anybody carring more than $10,000 cash is likely to have it taken unless a declaration has been made at the time of the ticket purchase, and a form filled out.

If the guy is a professional poker player, he should know the risks he takes with buying a ticket for cash. He can beat the rap, but it will cost him. What the heck was he thinking?

Unbelievable.

Last year when I went to Minneapolis for the Rally I was going to bring a copy of "The New Pearl Harbor" (Disturbing
Questions About 9/11 and the Bush Administration) for my brother.

But while packing for the trip I decided against bringing that book with me for fear of what the TSA might do with it (or me).

Was I just paranoid???

Or is this how we have to think anymore in Amerika.

yet the victim has to pay attorney fees and go through the hassle of court in order to get his property back. The 4th Amendment and presumed innocence are thrown out the window. Does anyone know what Fed Code DEA is traveling under? (I know police forces all over are using this to cofiscate property and add to budgets.)

He needs to hire an attorney

He needs to hire an attorney and file a motion to have the items returned. If there is no real evidence he is engaged in trafficing illegal drugs etc and no ion scan was done on the money to test for drug residue I see no reason whay a sensible judge wont have the items returned.

If he won the cash, there is no guarantee that it won't have traces of drugs on it, even he never got near the drugs. I wonder how many bills in the till of the average store would fail such a scan. It's WAY past time to end this ridiculous "war on drugs". That can only be won through education.

Not necessarily. The DEA has determined that each bill contains an amount of drug residue simply from coming into contact with other monies contaminated with drug residue.The amount is in the parts per million rating. Bills which are in the custody of traffickers will have a higher parts per million simply because they will be handling the money more often and the money is often kept in proximity to the illegal drugs causing contamination of the bills at a higher parts per million rate. I've seen the scan in action. It is very interesting....and sneaky.

It tests positive for GHB due to a chemical given off in the natural soaps. MANY soap makers have been arrested because of it even took their lawyer with them after it happened to them once...and it happened again...

I won't be flying in this country or any other anytime soon...
