What's Wrong with Libertarianism

In my quest for looking at all sides of a debate I ran across this page wherein the author lays out what he feels is wrong with Libertarianism. There are definitely some persuasive arguments for those who haven't researched a bit further so to sharpen our intellectual swords I put forth this article for dissection.

Makes for a good topic, at least.
In my opinion, the Libertarian Party has three problems:
1. Not enough money. (Same problem as any other Third Party.)
2. The Anarcho-Caps, while well-meaning, confuse the movement by not only calling themselves libertarians, but stating that they are the 'true' libertarians. Hence, the public doesn't know what 'libertarian' means, and, arguably, neither does anyone else.
3. The party doesn't have a good presidential standard bearer.

agreed
total crap
I can't spend much more time on it
so I didn't read the whole thing but this person seems to not know the difference between Libertarianism and Anarchism. He continually brings up ideas that relate to the total absence of government which would mean no rule of law. He also says "Christian libertarians like Ron Paul want God in the public schools and are happy to have the government forbid abortion and gay marriage." which is clearly untrue. First of all Dr. Paul does not want public schools and Dr. Paul has said that marriage is not a state issue and should be left up to the communities and churches. He also said that he is against abortion but does not think that the Federal government has the right to allow or disallow it. He also thinks that libertarianism arose out of the new deal which is ridiculous, it dates back centuries before. "if libertarians come to realize that Republicans and not Democrats are the greater threat to liberty-- I'd be delighted" Uh does he think Libertarians supported Bush, does he think socialism is less dangerous than corporatism and fascism? He also thinks the new deal grew of out a free market free for all that caused the market crash, I guess this guy does not understand monetary theory at all or hard money. "Today's Russia is moving back toward authoritarianism under Putin. Again, this should dismay libertarians: apparently, given a little freedom, many people will demand less." I guess he hasn't been following what Putin has said recently.
I'm going to stop here, there's just so much wrong.

Actually anarchists call themselves libertarians.
There's a long-running debate between Minarchists and Anarchists in the libertarian movement.

a waste of time
the article linked is so poorly argued, with so many unfounded suppositions, that dissection is not warranted, I suggest an immediate burial.
