The Purse and the Sword

Walter Reddy, the national coordinator of the Committees of Safety and sponsor of the Boston Tea Party 08, has produced this most important and timely educational documentary. This DVD is of the highest video and audio quality, which required over $10,000.00 in production costs. There is a familiar quote that “Constant Vigilance is the Price of Liberty” and Walter has laid his purse on the line to guarantee that Patriots across our nation and beyond will have the tools and knowledge required to win the battle against tyranny.
Keynote speaker Dr. Edwin Vieira has clearly laid out the solution to our current economic and political crisis and states that throughout history, the power of the purse can only be retained with the power of the sword. This timeless message is perhaps the most profound and fearful reality that we face today.
Most Americans today are comfortable with allowing others to protect us. As the economic crash accelerates into hyperinflation, as many respected economists have stated is inevitable, we will be faced with a federal-funded police state to enforce continuity of government. Our security is not secure until we the people take back the power of the sword by revitalizing the state militias, which are “necessary” to the security of the free state.
We are all accustomed to free videos and documentaries provided by the YouTube revolution, but on occasion we need to step up and contribute to the righteous cause that require the purse to be sustained. Even our founding fathers in their fight for independence provided their own treasure, many going into bankruptcy, for their battle and ultimate victory.
I am asking all patriots to provide a small amount of treasure to allow the Committees of Safety to continue to grow and educate as this is the only way that this organization to carry on. Walter and myself are facing the same end that many founders face as they put forth most if not all their treasure to ensure our freedoms. I personally have donated hundreds of dollars to promote and organize this event and thousands over the past two years, activated by the Ron Paul campaign and I am now facing an invoice from the city of Boston for the police detail – which the city required – to the tune of $850. I am also at the point of financial desperation, as are many others. get plugged in to your community
Perhaps a more practical cause is to be involved in your communities as a leader so the people will be inspired by your cause. There are few of us but a couple martyrs can go a long way. Sooner or later the situation will look like marie antoinette and I'd rather be with the angry mob than the rich elite who will be demonized by the vast majority. In the meanwhile I remain optimistic that the rest of the world will help us to be the alternative to socialist world rule and that our government will fear us enough to make the moral decisions to protect us.
A few thoughts on this subject ...
I keep hearing how Americans are so good. IF the majority of Americans were so good, we would not be in this stinking mess. Good Americans would have been able to recognize government corruption and put a stop to it. What we have are greedy Americans who want to satisfy their own cravings and desires ... thus they are manipulated in the process of picking and choosing which politicians (lies) fit their own agenda best.
Capitalism runs on greed and greed is a capital (deadly) sin. So, if capitalism only works where greed greases the skids, how long will it take for super greedy men in the future to bamboozle the common folk once again. Memories are very short. I'd estimate one or two generations (20-40 years) to reestablish the scams. They will have the blueprint from our times.
As someone before me has already stated many times, we are dealing with a moral crisis, and immorality runs through this society from top to bottom: abortion, euthanasia, sodomy, vile entertainment, etc., all promoted in public schools which the "good" people's tax money pays for. This evil is defended right on this site, in fact, as lifestyle choices (libertarianism).
This country is too far gone to save. And I don't think it's worth the effort. Republicanism is Freemasonic. That means the deck is stacked against goodness by a secret society which has never really lost the reins of power. Talk about conspiracies??? On youtube you can watch the video: "Riddles in Stone" for an entertaining education about the Masonic-pagan symbols which permeate federal buildings and the very layout of the streets of Washington, DC. It wouldn't shock me if God reduces DC to dust for the blasphemies it has perpetrated against Him, and the millions of souls it has hastened to hell for all eternity.
Before we go forming any militias, we all need to get down on our knees, beg forgiveness for our arrogant stupidities and sins, and turn our own lives around. Then, we should ask God for the guidance we need to get out of this mess.

Great ideas, but the Nation is too far gone now

Well, some of the ideas are great. Revitilizing the state militias takes time, money, power and influence. How can this be done? Not easily, if at all.
I am an optimistic person, but this is not the time to try to fix things. They are too far gone. How will unemployment be fixed? The towering debt that millions owe? Which the government owes? The economy is in free-fall. How will revitalizing any militia correct this? How does one fight the Government Mafia, when they are secret, powerful, ruthless and without moral values? They don't care if you die for a cause. They would welcome it - one less pest to deal with.
The U.S.A, and much of the world will crumble and fall. Frankly, it needs to. There is so much rot in our system now that it can't be fixed by half-measures, or even if one is able to get all of the state militias on 'our side' (whatever that is). The U.S. is a beautiful place with honest and good people, but the government is a mess of whores and they need to fail, to hit the ground hard. After that, we can think about a new nation.
But will that cure greed? The lust for power? I don't know. What does it take to bring evil-doers to their knees? Killing them - via militias or other means - is not the answer. Gandhi had it right, but he was shot dead.
In the end, despite the lovely ideas and good feelings about the U.S. each of us must take care of ourselves and our families, then find a safe haven for the next couple of years. Keep the focus on 2012. It is hoped that, by then, enough poo will have hit the fan that integrity and character will matter again.
We won't have the United States of America any more. But it is possible we will have something better, whatever it may be called.
You are more than likely
You are more than likely right that it is too late to save this nation as we know it. The question is, what happens next? Will we allow the collapse of our empire to result in a socialist police state or will we be ready to take back our nation and rebuild our Republic? Will the empire implode into a hard core, fascist state, or can we force it to explode into free states? The idea of state militias may well tip the balance. We need it to explode into free states that are closer to the people and easier to bring back under the control of the people. From there we can rebuild the Republic, if we choose to, or remain free states under our state constitutions.

Too late to quit
Thanks for your comments, zenpiper. You may be right, that our personal, individual effort is futile at this time. But I hope your are wrong and that we have enough American patriots left who are saying, "It's too late to quit." I am one of those Americans, as is Congressman Ron Paul, and I would venture to say most of the others on this forum. I like your comments and admire your optimism. There may be a great number of patriots who will work to 'take back' the United States. But it's complicated, since most patriots have families, jobs, and other responsibilities besides taking back the nation. So what does one do? Take Emily to soccer practice or go to a meeting of other patriots?
It's just a mess. What makes it frustrating is that there are wonderful, idealistic people on this forum who would sacrifice a great deal to help put the country right. But the numbers are just too small, and the level of commitment is spotty. I just don't see it happening any time soon.

A waste of time
The "Committees of Safety" are a total waste of time and a dangerous distraction. First, how can any financial reform be implemented without the elimination of the fed? This key issue is never mentioned.
Then the supporters claim to back our constitution, but in the next breath they suggest an un-constitutional monetary system.
You are free to pretend that in some way forming militias helps the cause of freedom but I suggest this gibberish is irrelevant and a dangerous distraction.

The point of this is to build a parallel system. Working on this does not prevent you from working towards ending the Fed. But ending the Fed without a plan for what comes next is not very responsible.

4 Degrees from Harvard means nothing. I know of a few with 2 degrees from Harvard and 3 degrees from places like Harvard that support the fiat money system, think inflation is a good thing, etc.
Of course, Harvard has produced such luminaries as
Hank Paulson and Robert Rubin, so it is a rare and delightful treat to find someone who actually takes useful things from his education and can think logically and is on the side of the Constitution and Freedom - big difference. It doesn't hurt to have someone with that much status and credibility on our side! And you could learn a lot!
