Not good if RP supporters buy all the USAToday papers on the 21st

As reported, the full USA Today ad will go in the paper on Wed Nov. 21st:
http://mysite.verizon.net/nathanielyao/USA_Today_Ad.html

I am planning on getting at least 10 of these myself. But then I realized that many other people would do the same thing. Can we get the word out for people to leave papers in stores for Americans who do not know Ron Paul yet? I suppose a lot of well-meaning supporters may quickly buy up all the copies in their stores and leave none left for others. So it is a good idea to not just get the word out to others about the ad, but to also order the paper off the website. I do not yet know how to do that so someone can give the directions about how to do this. So far I found that you can order back issues a few days later. But how can we preorder many copies?

USAToday Free At Hotels

USAToday is free at Choice Hotels (Comfort Inn, Sleep Inn, Clarion, etc.)
And a lot more. Google "Free USAToday"

If that is really a problem...

Then we already win.

From Mr Lepard - Please ask USA Today to Print MORE

These will make great promotional material in the year to come. It would be terrible if this print run did not sell out.

The answer is for the USA to print more.

I have already posted this elsewhere but here it is again:

I emailed Lawrence Lepard who is paying for the USA Today ad for Wed. This is what I said:

Dear Mr Lepard

A Ron Paul supporter posted that they were going to buy 10 copies of the paper for themselves.

Then they realized they had better not – because there would be none left for non-supporters, who are the ones who really need it.

Could USA Today be informed to increase production on that day?

Sincerely

Stephanie Relfe

He just replied to me with this request:

"Yes, I am working on that. Send them an email telling them you want multiple copies. If enough people do that they will do a bigger print run.

Thanks for your efforts.

RP will win.

Best, LWL"

HAHA I LOVE IT!

AHAHHA :D yoopee! That is so illegal and yet so brilliant at the same time. (stuffing a slim jim in every newspaper in the newspaper box!)

Here's an Idea . . .

Why not buy up copies of USA today and give them away? Leave them in offices . . . put them on restaurant tables . . . heck, leave them in bathrooms!

BRILLIANT!!! (2)

Someone set up a chip-in to buy copies, 100$ = 200 USA Today papers to give away.

I'm just buying one. Of

I'm just buying one. Of course, then I'm going to put the ad in a frame and mount it in my office

Ruthless political operative tactics!

I am worried that they will buy up all the newspapers so that no one can buy them.

I slipped slim jims into every paper at the newspaper box

I haven't put any in a news paper at a news stand yet all you need to do is ask the news stand guy or put them in the news paper boxes put them in to the first ten then you know they won't be wasted

YOU DA MAN...

...MARTY! LOL! It's illegal though.

usa today is handed out for free

Usa today is handed out for free at many hotels expecially hotels near buissness districts and airports

Don’t worry about it being a big travel day.

Don’t worry about it being a big travel day. These papers are given out in hotels and on airlines and are sold in airports and at rest stops. The paper is very big with business travelers and people still do business over holidays. If you want multiple copies, try not to buy them all in one place. If you are traveling, have your slim jims handy.

Ron Paul Ad.

Save your money and pool your resources and buy an insert in a local weekly newspaper. About $150.00 per thousand inserts. Excellent project for meetup groups. Replace paid for by [name] with name of meetup group.

Remember Slim Jims

If you buy extra copies to give to other folks, remember to slip a Slim Jim inside each one!

When you open the paper stand why not put a slim jim

in each paper inside the stand.

bump

USA Today

I'm going to buy a dozen copies and leave them opened up to the ad on empty tables at Starbucks and any upper level fast food type restaurants (looking for spots where the clientel are likely primary voters).

From someone who used to deliver newspapers to stores

From someone who used to deliver newspapers to stores

roughly 50% of the copies WILL sell, BECAUSE it is a travel day because noone gets to watch night news before cause they are getting ready to go and travel early

thats higher then your usual 25-30% weekday

BUT ANYWAY

BUY HALF THE COPIES AND GIVE THEM OUT!!

Why the hell would you buy

Why the hell would you buy multiple newspapers for an ad? They would have no idea that sales are increasing because of some politician's ad. Even if they did know there was a surge because of Ron Paul supporters buying multiple copies, why would they care?

Just buy your newspaper and let other people buy their newspaper so they can check out the ad...

Me thinks it doesn't matter

I am pretty sure that most papers don't make too much of a profit, if any, on the sale of their papers themselves. The money comes from the advertising.
So, the paper is already paid for. The only reason they hope the paper sells is so people will see the ads and buy all that stuff they don't need or to believe things that aren't true.
It would be worth it to me to buy one just to see what an honest ad looks like.

Go Ron Paul!

i deliver pizzas

i thought i'd buy like five or ten copies and give them away with people's orders. i just can't be obvious about it because of work. i'll have to say something along the lines of, "hey, i've got an extra copy of USA today, do you want it?"
most people would probably say yes, don't you think?

I gave my regular pizza guy a stack of them to had out

As some who delivered pizza for a time I realized this quickly that a pizza delivvery man can hand them out so I inlisted my friend who delivers them. To target specific people and give them out he's handed out like 50 already

door knob hangers

You could get some of them door knob hangers and hang them on the door before you knock. When they open the door and ask, "who the &*(@ put this on my door" you could say. I dunno, I thought it was a do not disturb sign or something.
Appearing stupid comes natural to me.

none are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.

Why would people buy more

Why would people buy more than 1 for themselves? People shouldn't do that. I like the idea of buying a whole bunch (make sure you buy them and not purchase 1 and steal the rest from the machine) and giving them away to people.

I don't think they will sell out. It's a huge travel day. The airports are going to be packed all people will be loading up in their cars to travel all across the nation. I'm sure they are printing extra for this reason alone and all newsstands, stores and corner bins will be full.

No problem

Buy the stack, leave them in the rack, tell the store clerk and leave a note that says "Free papers, courtesy of a dedicated Ron Paul supporter!"

THIS IS A GREAT IDEA!

you win the ron paul marketing award for today! =)

No Problem

That is a wonderful idea!

BRILLIANT!!!

It could be huge if someone sets up a chip-in to buy copies, I would give a hundred $ = 200 USA Today papers to give away.
