Summer Freight Train Hopping!

All my life I have always wanted to go freight hopping and now that I have some time this summer it might actually come true! Does anyone have any ideas, suggestions, help, books, articles, or anything useful that I could use for my journey?

make sure to keep alot of grocery bags with you. Stop at resturaunts and buy a beer and when people leave their food put it in the grocery bags. This is the best way to get food on the train routes.l

go to greyhound website folks there are many incredible specials.....there was a time I was going from Vancouver Canada to El Paso Texas for 68$ early 90's...........its still cheap now.

I usually fly or take cheap greyhound specials to travel across North America but over the years was hich-hiking a lot too in summer time in Canada(US would be scared) ..feels great...uplifting...

I did that once when I was a kid and fell off
broke my ankle and my friends got scared and ran away . I had to crawl through a ditch full of water and go up to a house to get help for myself. Not a fun memory.
