Obama Busted for Pot
by Bruce Arnold

George Obama, Barack Hussan Obama's half brother, was arrested in Kenya for possession of marijuana last Saturday.

Are you surprised you haven't heard this plastered all over the mainstream media? Can't understand why this isn't the lead story on every major network? I'd probably be surprised and wondering why also, except for the fact that I know what "journalism" means nowadays.

However, rest assured that the MSM knows all about this story, even if they're keeping it under their dirty stinkin' hats. If you are willing to dig deep enough in CNN's "World News" section, they actually gloss over this story at first:
http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/africa/01/31/george.obama.arrest/
And then quickly spin it:
http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/africa/02/02/kenya.george.obam...

Just because the government doesn't directly control all the content on the news (as the Kremlin used to control the TASS news agency during Russia's days in the Soviet empire), that doesn't mean that the powers-that-be these days don't have substantial influence here during the decline of the American empire. The Associated Press (AP) is just as manipulative these days as TASS ever was, except the AP is just much more subtle and clever about it.

In the interests of disclosure, please understand this: I don't dislike "president" Obama any more or less than I disliked former Emperor George the Second, or "america's first black president" (Clinton) or even Emperor George the First for that matter. In my mind, they are all equally evil elitist/globalist scum, who work consistently against the good of the average native american. (I'm not specifically referring to the Cherokee, or any other aboriginal american tribe - I mean ALL people that were actually born in the American states. Hence: if you were born in Missouri, you are by definition a "native american.") But confusion on that "native" issue is understandable enough. After all, we have a native african claiming to be president of the U.S.A. right now. (Yes, the media-anointed-messiah known as Barack Hussain Obama was indeed born in Kenya – his grandmother even carelessly admitted it in a TV interview soon before her untimely death. And just FYI: That Hawaiian "certificate of live birth" that the Obamaites provided as "proof" is simply a ruse, as such certificates are routinely issued to foreign-born immigrants with at least one american-born parent, and therefore is no proof at all.)

Also in the interests of fairness, I'll admit that I personally don't give a rat's rear-end what Barack's brother chooses to ingest into his own body. Whether he smokes pot, snorts coke, or eats food laden with trans-fats is of the utmost indifference to me. I genuinely don't approve of the "guilt by association" chicanery that is so routinely used by the media – it is a dirty trick most commonly played by the worst of low-life scumbags, modern journalists and all politicians (but I repeat myself). Years of hard evidence have shown without a shadow of a doubt, that governments declaring anything "illegal" increases the demand and heightens the criminal activity surrounding it, with adverse consequences that far outweigh any perceived "good" gained from criminalizing it. Official branding of any drug, herb, or substance (or automatic weapon for that matter) as "illegal" has proven to be extremely counter-productive in just about every case in the history of mankind going right back to the very beginning. Eve's "apple" being the original and perhaps ultimate example.

What provokes my anger in this case is the way it has been so quickly and quietly shuffled under the rug by the mainstream media and the erstwhile "unbiased news" programs that regularly spoon-feed such filth disguised as infotainment into the spongy brains of the drooling masses. Apparently even the government of Kenya is cooperating with the family of their favorite son. Once the word got out whose brother was who, they dropped the charges and started "spinning" the incident faster than you can say: "What pot whose pot where pot?"

If this story had happened last year, and it was Jeb Bush caught with a doobie in Key West, all the media would have spoken of little or nothing else for weeks. OK, with the likely exception of the Bush family's favrave FauxNews, who would have underplayed, discounted, denied, and misdirected that particular "news story" for as long as they could get away with, or at least until the can of worms was far too open to tuck back in and ignore.

As I write this, if you go looking on TV, or even online mainstream "news" sites for any news relating to marijuana, almost everything you'll find is about Olympic swimmer Michel Phelps' naughty photo that recently "surfaced" of him using a water pipe (a device frequently used to smoke all sorts of nasty things with, including tobacco). So no one really knows what was going on there, but to hear it from the "media" it is one of the biggest stories on the wire today...

Yet, hardly a word about Barack Obama's brother actually getting busted for possession.

The moral of this story: Don't trust the mainstream media for news. The MSM's purpose in the "global scheme of things" is to distract and misinform you. The sooner you realize that, and the sooner you wean yourself, your family and your friends from the media's teat, the sooner you will find truth.

Marijuana Prohibition is just plain DUMB

The arguments in favor of Marijuana Prohibition all boil down to some folks wanting to enforce tyranny on others.

Hey McCain-----┌П┐(◣_◢)┌П┐

And why should we care about

And why should we care about this?

everybody thinks obama will legalize

as of late there are lot's of story's floating around the web and the MSM about cannabis and legalization. it won the #1 question out of 10 that the slaves i mean people will have answered by obama.

with the current pressure/momentum of the MSM and grass roots (pun intended) people are hoping to at least get obama to stop the raids on medical marijuana like he "promised". flip a quarter!

That's the question Iv'e

That's the question Iv'e been waiting for an answer to since I first heard about this on here...

Apparently, too many people on this site still look to the MSM for useful news... For instance, I was in the process of sending this story out to several of my usual sources today, when I saw the Daily Paul thread on Phelps' pot smoking:
http://www.dailypaul.com/node/81340
So I decided to also post my article here.

Now, Michael... If you are asking that question because you have a renewed commitment to focusing the topics here on DailyPaul to things directly related to Ron Paul and his libertarian ideals and issues - then all I have to say is... Hallelujah brother!!! I'm all for that!!! :) You do it and I'll do all I can to help.

Lmao, George Obama...

Made me think of George "W." Obama.

Anyways what kind of backwards creeps live in Kenya? Why the hell do they have it illegal? You'd think they wouldn't have all the cultural and religious hiccups about it that we have here...

Reminds me of Billy Carter

Reminds me of Billy Carter getting busted for pissing in an alley.

not sure what source you listen to but

I've heard this story at least 50 seperate times on radio and tv programs in the past few days alone here in los angeles. In fact...I'm getting quite sick of hearing about it ,and now some swimmer? smokes a bong? is this really news? we're a lost nation FOR SURE!

Really?

I must say I'm surprised. (Not to mention a bit skeptical about "50 separate times" - perhaps a bit of exaggeration there? Maybe? A bit?)

When I first heard of this today, I surfed the boob tube on two separate satellite feeds, looking on all the national and local stations. I went online and searched all the MSM news sites. (MSNBC, CNN, FauxNews, CNBC, Bloomberg, and others.) Barely any mentions - only the CNN World news section's "footnote" articles.

If indeed they are covering it as much as you say in Californication, then it must be a regional thing! The Cali republic seems to love the gonga almost as much as they love their new messiah!

But seriously, I'm not trying to antagonize ya... And I entirely agree with you about your other points. :)

I NEVER listen to ,or watch those shows

I watch local news only, other than Bloomberg
(for market stats)
and listen to several different Sirius Sat.radio shows throughout the workday...I drive semi trucks so I listen to a LOT of radio sometimes 16 hrs a day!lol ,and NO it's NO exaggeration at all. The Howard Stern shows news Woman...(Robin Quivers) has reported on it a few times ,the Bubba the love sponge show (where I first learned about Ron Paul ) also talks about a lot of things on the political scene most days.Tucker Carlson is a regular guest on their show as well.
If you've just learned about this bit of "news",I understand your skepticism and hold no hard feelings at all.
Keep on keepin' on Patriot!

Thanks for clearing that up.

Thanks for clearing that up. I guess from what you say that Sirius radio stations are doing a better job mentioning that story than regular radio & TV!
