List of states with passed or pending sovereignty resolutions (Updated)

I thought we might want to keep a running list of states that have either passed or proposed resolutions reaffirming state sovereignty.

This can serve as one place to track them and a source of information to provide our elected officials who may be considering similar resolutions.

I'll modify this topic as people add more states.

Please add Ohio. This past Tuesday, the Senate State and Local Government and Veterans Affairs Committee passed SCR-13. Next stop full Senate. Total of TEN Ohio patriots testified as proponents. There was ZERO opponent testimony :D However, it will still be uphill battle with Dem controlled House.

below has the list.

I keep hoping and praying Iowa will do this…

I won’t hold my breath though. The Iowa legislature is made up of half-witted cowards. Talking to those idiots about liberty is about like talking to kindergarteners about rocket science—I kid you not. :-(

On a different note, I thought my congressman (Steven King R, CD-5) was great until the other day when I got a letter from him. Apparently he thinks (or acts like he thinks) the Federal Reserve System was established to keep the government from botching the economy. I wanted to send him a response, but I hadn’t the foggiest idea how to answer such stupidity (trying to get through to such a moron is pointless—like discussing politics with a Bamatronic robot). I can only stand by hoping Stevo figures out the truth for himself.

Montana wussed out

Whilst the bill is still a good one and looks very much like it's going to pass, it doesn't go nearly far enough and the one bit of the bill that really had teeth has been stricken from it on the 12th of February. That part that dictates that the Montana Attorney General must defend any Montana citizen being prosecuted by the US Attorney General under the unconstitutional commerce act (HR 45) that will destroy our 2nd amendment.

Not impressed.

Why does nobody have the guts to draft a sovereignty bill here they must have snow on the brain............

My sources say it could get a hearing sometime after March 5th and that it has supporters inside of the KS Senate leadership.

TN just introduced

their state sovereignty bill, asserting 10th Amendment.

Soon perhaps our state of Minnesota will join

that list! Oh, happy days!

IT JUST DID!

MO out of committee

MO sovereignty bill out of Committee HCR13 to house floor

Just emailed NC State Senator this info and see comments:

I admire you for the stances you take for the taxpayer. Never has there been a better time in our country to be a warrior for the people. We need more fighters like you instead of the folks who are running the system. Please take a look at what is happening around the country with as many as 20 states in our union now bringing resolutions to the floor regarding states rights. I have included a few links for your review. I would appreciate anything that you can do to bring NC to the forefront of this fight. Thank you. P.S. IT IS NOT A WASTED VOTE!

Contacted NC Rep

Friend,
I am also from NC and was sitting here wondering if NC would go this route also. I then read where you had contacted our Rep and would like to ask if you have heard anything from their office or heard anything about weither NC will go this way. SC, Georgia and TB is going and I pray we will do so also. I also hope we can get a better govenour, as the one we have now wants to raise taxes over 1.7 Billion dollars. One group stopped it partly and they only passed a 1 billion dollar tax hike and raised taxes in a recession. May GOD help us and bless our state. I pray GOD will open the hearts and eyes of those in office and they will vote for us to be as other states are . You take care and may GOD bless you and your family always.

MO update

Feb 10, 2009
Hr 212 after 1.5 hours of debate was laid over till a futher date. Uses FOCA for states rights.
The hearing on HCR 13 seemed to go well with little opposition. Uses 10 amendment for states rights.
The hearing on HB 361, the Real ID bill met with some opposition by a few with the intent to derail it. i believe this was a predetermined effort, we need calls to members of the committee to pass it out of committee.

I'll be impressed

when the states actually exercise these rights. Look at California and tell me if you really think they've kept the federal gov't at bay for all these years.

Well, hopefully.....

Well, hopefully were not going to sit around waiting for the Reps to move on exercising them by themselves-- doing that hasn't worked out so well for us. I say we need to seriously touch them where it hurts! Make them represent us, or make them get the hell out of the way for someone who will!! :-)

Without knowing the legalities or the success rate...

that these states will have, I think the most important thing about this is that it is a HUGE illustration of the CHANGE IN SOCIAL MOOD! This change in direction on the part of the thinking of the sheep is fertile ground for a FREEDOM REVOLUTION.

if states listed proclaim freedom from D.C

There is no limit to how far a person can go as long as they do not care who gets the credit

Why are the feds still pulling all the martial law training and all in some of theses states I thought that would stop that stuff, so what does all this mean? until 100% secession happens that may be the only way to stop the crap, only N.H. states anything about marital law ? interesting maybe I should move to N.H. , also only theu spoke of freedom of speech and freedom of religion. my question is what will this whole 10th amenment thing do? I tried going to Missori (spelling) and they were the only site that would not let me see the doc or down load the PDF , I think they are so into the whole Nartial law and all there. My state WA has a good doc but a tad weak as others called for ammediate cease and dissest, what ever that means . WA st. wording seems a little week, also WA st is making a inhanced ID for anyone working near the ferrys even resturant workers, they are pushing for a advanced ID that will allow WA st people to wave a pass card and drive into Canada, so what do these things really mean, so far not much, I think its political lies aside from N.H. what do you all think?

There is no limit to how far a person can go as long as they do not care who gets the credit

The problem is...

The problem is these bills mean nothing unless the state directs its law officers to uphold the law and prevent extra constitutional federal agencies from exercising powers not delegated to them by the Constitution.

Unfortunately the statists in most of our state houses are doing this just for show but have no intention of backing it up.

The good news is it's a start, and if we can get them to pass them then we have something to rally the public to, and pressure them to back it up, and if they won't oust them in the next elections.
