States Planning / Motioning Towards Reasserting Sovereignty:
AL, AK, AR, CO, ID, IN, KS, ME, NV, and PA (as of 02/17/2009)

REFERENCE TITLE: Sovereignty; Tenth Amendment. | HCR 2024

Representatives Burges, Ash, Biggs, Boone, Gowan, Mason, Montenegro, Pancrazi, Seel, Williams: Barto, Campbell CL, Court, Crandall, Crump, Driggs, Fleming, Goodale, Hendrix, Kavanagh, Lesko, McComish, McGuire, Miranda B, Murphy, Nichols, Pratt, Quelland, Stevens, Tobin, Weiers JP, Senator Harper

See it for yourself:

If you believe in "State Sovereignty", make sure that you bug the hell out of your representatives to pass legislation like this. Also in your letters make sure that you call attention to the efforts of these states. Make them feel that their is a strong movement towards enforcing sovereignty outside of your individual state. That will give your representatives the feeling that their not totally leaving the herd. We need to make a firm push to get these bills actually passed- I'm not talking passive action...I'm saying assert your own personal authority as a citizen of your state. The power of your state derives from you, just as the Federal government's power derives from the states. It is long since past time that we reassert this authority. State Sovereignty will give us back our greatest line of defense against oppressive Federal government! From there we really can reverse all the harm that has been done to this Republic!!!!!!
Breaking news user "celeste" has posted that eight states which I have added to the above list are now pushing for reassertion of sovereignty!!!!!!
Here is a link to Celeste's post http://www.dailypaul.com/node/81826

Keep pushing your representatives!!!

Hamilton, though an ardent proponent of Federalism, admitted "an entire consolidation of the States into one national sovereignty would imply an entire subordination of the parts; and whatever powers might remain in them would be altogether dependent on the general will. But as the plan of the convention [the Constitutional Convention of 1787] aims only at a partial union or consolidation, the State governments would clearly retain all right of sovereignty which they before had and which were not, by that act exclusively delegated to the United States."

HRC 0006 - New Hampshire

Hello Everyone!

Please be aware that this is STATE legislation. So you would call the people who created the bill and your state legislators who represent your area and those on the committees who have the ability to recommend the bill or not, depending on how your legislature works.

In NH here is the information for how we make a bill into law:

- Bill is introduced and sent to a committee
- The committee holds a hearing and anyone can go to the Statehouse to testify for or against
- The committee makes a recommendation that it "Ought to Pass" or is "Inexpedient to Legislate" and is influenced by the number of 'people with pitchforks' who show up. For example, we just defeated 3 bills that would have taken away our right to vote at town meetings in private, and one that would tax horse owners...
- Usually the legislative body takes the cue from the committee when it votes, but it doesn't have to, so you have to write to them too.

So in NH, the first step is to write to the committee to support the bill, and the second step is to write to your local legislators to ask them to vote in favor of it, NO MATTER what the committee says to do.

Here is HRC 0006 as it appears on the Coalition of NH Taxpayers Bill Watch 2009 section along with other bills we wish to support or oppose:

Hope everyone is well. Keep up the good fight.

emails sent

I'm proud to say that my reps are on the list, Montenegro and Weiers. I emailed them to say thanks. And I emailed my senator, Nelson, to let him know I'd like to see him on that list.

Give them a phone call and set up a meeting with 5 of your fellow patriots to pressure them. Emails are easily deleted and disregarded. In your face is the best way to scare them into submission.

We need to get a video about this on YT

I just remembered that Oklahoma declared sovreignty first back in June. Here is the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cPLFbrn8cxw.

"There can be only one permanent revolution - a moral one: The regeneration of the inner man."

"The body is but a vessel for the soul,
A puppet which bends to the soul's tyranny.
And lo, the body is not eternal,
For it must feed on the flesh of others,
Lest it return to the dust whence it came.
Therefore the soul deceives and despises."

Who's behind this?

All of these states rights bills passed at the same time? This is obviously a concerted effort, one I was unaware was even happening... and I live in WA state one of the states that passed a bill! So.... what group is behind this and how do I help them?

I was wondering the same

I was wondering the same thing. Is there any coordination behind these efforts or is it just coincidence for so many states to be initiating this at the same time?

I think it is just that there are fortunately some very forward-thinking people in these states (NH has always had them despite the liberal take over in '06) who are anticipating some of the bad things that are about to come down from the current federal administration that would be very unsavory for state sovereignty and to which resistance would be justified under state constitutions but likely would not have been used before just because of bad habit.

Thanks for being a patriot!

Everyone doing their part, within their own personal states, will not be wasted time- even if their state doesn't pass one. If we could get at least a few states that makes a stand behind the 10th amendment and reasserts their state Sovereignty it will call into question why the non-supportive states have not yet done so.

i see florida as being one of the last states to do this.....tax haven, sunshine, shady real estate....a crooked beaurocrat's paradise.

Those are the states we will need to put a serious squeeze on...

Hopefully the public can be made to see all that they would gain under a sovereign state. I think if we really open the issue up for debate, outlining what it truly means to be sovereign there will be a lot of people who will be for casting off the shackles of oppression. The key is making the issue LARGELY public.

If the train keeps on rolling like this we may have most of the states on board by the end of February! Unlikely I know, however I feel most of the good things in this world, at least those originating from man, stem from sheer determination, hopes, and dreams.

Thanks for catching that. I tend to type a little hastily when work is about to end for the day. I didn't want to wait however, since I felt it was priority news. Thanks again.

Even if you don't live in these states

send e-mails, phone calls, faxes, snail mail, let these states know they are being watched.
