Ron Paul controls Spokane County

Washington is among several states putting pressure on for honest money.....

In Spokane County, Washington state, the Ron Paul folks won 14 of the 17 offices of the Republican party, Chairman included! This is happening all over the U.S.!

Senate Bill 453, The Indiana Honest Money Act
Indiana Picks Up Where New Hampshire Left Off !

"Indianapolis, Indiana -- State Senator Greg Walker of District 41, (R-Columbus), has officially filed a Bill that would allow Indiana to offer its citizens a choice of Gold (and Silver) coin or the Electronic equivalent in payable and receivable transactions with the state. This bold bill will finally bring Indiana back into conformance with the Constitution for the United States of America which states "No state shall...make any thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts..." Comments: I haven't read the Colorado or Indiana bills yet but I did read the New Hampshire bill. Basically here is what it proposes:
The "State" treasury will start to make tax collections/payments in Gold, Silver, or dollars. Therefore they will open an electronic Gold/Silver holding account. {Goldmoney offers just that.}

They will fund the account with taxes collected in Gold/Silver from the cigarette tax already in existence. That means all the stores in the state that sell cigarettes have the option to pay the tax, collected from cigarette buyers, in Silver/Gold either electronically or even physical if they want to.

Now, you are right it would take a while for the public to accept this but here are 2 benefits:
1. Many people including the state, should/would open Goldmoney holding accounts and use them for transaction payments between each other, banks, operating under IMF, IRS, etc banking regulations, wouldn't necessarily be involved at all.

2. As we saw with the Liberty dollar confiscation episode several months ago, the small businesses using Gold/Silver as money don't have the legal clout a state would have if the feds try to shut them down as they did with Liberty dollars.
Can you imagine the feds attacking the states of New Hampshire, Indiana, or Colorado's treasury departments because they hold Gold/Silver?
