good for WA

note - I think the mod should have left the bill here. you can't copyright a bill, furthermore the government doesn't have intellectual property when it comes to laws and declarations, this is about as public domain as it gets. But hey, that is just my opinion

Start Emailing, Writing Letters and then Calling, ASAP!

To All,

Start emailing, writing letters and then calling, ASAP! Writing a hard copy with either an email or personal letter is far more important than calling and even more important is if you are a constituent in the 22nd district of Washington State. It is important to be polite, but firm. You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar. Please act now by doing this we might be able to make this bill fly out of committee and on towards an open hearing and then to the floor. You all need to understand that the chair of this committee, which is Rep. Sam Hunt, noted below, is the Grand Poobah who can make or break this bill, he can stomp on it, spit on it, throw it out his window, or make it into a paper airplane. The important thing is if he does this, then he will make the appearance of not following his oath of office, in my opinion. So, if you want this bill to be publicly heard, which is the next step, stop right now and write this gentleman a heartfelt letter!! Than call, but remember to stagger the calls. Don't overwhelm his office. It is always better to write, and if you live in the 22nd district, he has a real responsibility to you, so politely remind of that fact and say it with a smile!!!:)) For those of you who are in other states with this going on, remember that when a bill gets introduced, it will most likely be sent to a committee and then the chair of that committee decides. However, note that all states are different, so get on your computer tomorrow and do your homework and let everybody know the bottom line on your state's political process in pushing a bill through. We all need to be working effectively!

go Washington go!

Sell the dream. Push the greed button. Stress urgency.

Got a call this morning...

from Speaker Chopp's office. An assistant left a voicemail indicating that my support for HJM-4009 will be heard by Mr. Chopp. This is some good news. As Rep. Shea said, we need to get into hearing.

Chris

Think for yourself. Question authority.

Awesome! I'm in Washington.

Awesome! I'm in Washington. I'm going to go contact my reps to support this bill!

I really wish they hadn't quoted Hamilton. From what I understand, he was an enemy to freedom and prosperity, but... oh well. I read some of the implied powers debate between him and Madison and... we have definitive proof in history that Madison was right!

I'll bet all these State bills

are brought and supported by a very small minority. I, too, wish them well. Just one state going forward and passing this resolution would be great for the whole country.

There should be transparency

There should be transparency in any govt institute.. good to hear this from the post.

We don't know how many allies we really have until we

stand up and make ourselves known. Many people don't put themselves out there until someone else has first. Everyone has their "threshold" before they sign on so to speak. Every one of us that steps forward, every one of us that pushes our representatives, makes one more representative, and one more legitimate voice to what we already know is the right thing to do. The tide will turn in our favor, but we must stand and account.

Thats why we must force them into the public eye!!!

If they stay unknown in the mainstream, of course they will only garner small minority support!!! Write to your newspapers, post on their forums, send your representatives letters, print out fliers and dump them populated places throughout your town. If you go to church speak at any chance you can get on this issue!! Churches should support this movement because it will free them from Federal tyranny. However everyone benefits by this!
We must force open the gates by sheer strength of numbers....we need every mouthpiece behind this HUGE opportunity!! Keep up the hope and don't back down- there are a lot of people out there who will get behind this if we can get the message out there!!

Also work the angles- speak about the good points about this by picking the issues which would most likely enthrall the people you are talking to.

For example: If your speaking to a church- speak about the gain in religious freedom and how it will dramatically detour persecution.
Or if your speaking to people who want to legalize marijuana tell them that this would open up the path for a fair vote.
There are hundreds and hundreds of angles for this!!!!! It basically boils down to giving back the power of the people to dictate how they live their own personnel lives (without infringing on others).

Something doesn't smell right...

Doesn't Washington State have the new gun restriction bills in cue for the legislative assembly? Plus, it entered into the West Coast Governors' Global Warming Initiative to follow the Koyoto Protocols under the dictates of the UN.

Suddenly, it becomes one of the first five to push for separation... Not, Alaska, Montana or Hawaii. I dunno is it for show or Constitutional convention? Would be nice if it was on the up & up but, I hesitate, to burst into a jig.

The Banksters are the hand that feeds, even if it is just scraps of debt laced paper.

I live in Oregon, and..

to the best of my knowledge, Washington is indeed implementing the new ammo registration bill. I could be wrong, but I am almost 100% sure of it. Not to be disrespectful to my northern neighbors, but they tend to be quite "left sided" if you know what I mean....well, the west side of the state. The east side is more conservative. It is the exact same way in Oregon (not as extreme though), the east is very conservative, while the west is (by majority) a bunch of "politically correct", anti gun, let the government decide what is best for you kind of people. Don't get me wrong, there are great folks in the west, and some very, very important freedom loving individuals....sadly though...they are still not the majority.
I just can't see Washington doing this. If they are, I salute them, and hope Oregon follows suit. I wish that many states started breaking free of the Fed, and tell them where to stick it. Day by day I see the revolution taking place. It is not how I originally thought it would happen, but we are becoming quite an underground army (if you will). We are spreading the word, and small things here and there are changing the way things are going. We will turn the tide, and we will regain freedom. I hope that we can do it through legal means, and not by bloodshed....but mark my words.....we will get our freedom. Be it in life or death.....we will be free!

Yep...I lived in Klamath Falls ( OIT ) and it was conservative.

Now I'm told by friends there that it is much more liberal now. If it is now "split" by an "east / west" division...it doesn't look good. Most of the population is in the east.

I am in Eastern Washington -- known for its conservative views

as you well know. But someone also told me that Ron Paul Republicans were having an effect in Western Washington -- King County in particular -- which shocked me too! Do not doubt the actions of a handful of people to affect change!! :-)

Where are you at in Eastern Washington?

I live in Umatilla, Oregon, just south of the Tri-Cities on the Columbia river. Yeah, I remember that King county did do some AMAZING things during the elections! I was following that very close. All I know is that if you are like me, I wish that eastern Oregon, and eastern Washington would form their own state together. We would probably be the most free of all states if that happened. We just don't have much voice in the eastern parts of these two states due to the majority of the population being on the west sides.

Well, God bless ya!

American Dodo, are you a member of C4L?

As you know, us Eastern Oregonians are few and far between, but generally conservative. We are trying to get up and running and be politically active in the state. Some of 'us' have attended hearings at the state capitol recently, and we are working to get anti NAIS legislation through in Oregon.

I am in Spokane County! :-) Home of Ron Paul's 107/114 delegates

to the state convention!!!
Yeah, the west sides suck -- excluding our fine RP Patriots over there of course! Never really thought of seceding with Eastern Oregon as the talk is usually of joining North Idaho. A tri-state state would be cool though! Match the tri-cities heheh.

North Idaho is great also!

Yeah, that would be great! A tri-state union would be nice! And we could use Spokane as our capital city! I am really proud of the great work you folks in Spokane county did! It still blows my mind! I am not fond of the Tri-Cities either... Go Chiefs! ;-) Anyway, maybe someday we could merge to form the 51st state, or a nation of our own (who knows the way the country is going now)? Well, nice to know that there are more NW folks representing freedom on dailypaul (I am sure there are many, but I rarely run across them). You take care, and your fellow patriots in Oregon have your back, and wish the best for Washington on this bill! Let your state lead us to a new way of thinking, and let us all help end the Fed!

"Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools" (Romans 1:22)

Yeah, I think we ALL were shocked and awed at how many Ron Paul

delegates we actually had at the county convention! It was one of the most memorable days of my life!! Also wearying from hanging out in a high school gym on metal chairs for well over 12 hours!! They never had such a large turnout at the county convention and thought that they could still screw us over with dirty tactics! LOL It finally got down to where they thought they'd get us by having everyone announce who they supported and, one by one, most everyone in the ROOM said Ron Paul!!! Was AMAZING!!! :-) Unfortunately, by the end of the day, everyone was too tired to celebrate. :-( But the part I enjoyed most was seeing the party leadership huddled around their pathetic McCain banner plotting what to do but knowing they were the ones that got screwed! Never had such a good boring time! LOL

Spokane would be an AWESOME capital! And I know what you mean about the Tri-Cities...only thing I like about the Tri-Cities is the big blue bridge crossing the Colombia between Kennewick and Pasco.

I think the few Northwesterners on here are usually on late at night, so you may not be as familiar with who they are but a number are Washingtonians. Best regards southern neighbor! Hope that Oregon will soon follow Washington's lead here! :-)

It was great to meet ya...

I should probably get to sleep soon, but it has been great talking to you. Before I go, I just wanted to thank all you folks in Spokane for giving the rest of us something to shoot for. If we all took your example we would be doing great! I hope next time that we will do as you true patriots have done and are doing. It may have some boring time as you said, but what American can truly said they stood up and did something? Sadly not as many as I would hope to see.
I also have to agree with the blue bride between Kennewick, and Pasco...it is pretty nice =)
Well, good luck Washington state (not worried about you good ole Spokane folk...you can handle your neck of the woods....just the west of Washington worries me a bit! =) ! I do hope to meet a few more NW people here, so maybe I will have to try to be on more late at night.
I suppose I should hit that dusty trail, and head for bed. Very cool to chat with ya! You take care, and God bless

Good to meet ya too! :-) Have a good night's rest!

Off the top of my head, the Washingtonians I am aware of on the Daily Paul besides me are: krmaya, Jinc, Shannon O'Brien and wolfangel. I know there are a few more but I am not recollecting them right now.

Ron Paul came to Spokane just before the caucuses a year ago and gave this speech to a crowd estimated to be 1000 -- including me ;-) Never seen such a jam-packed room in my whole life! I was lucky enough to get a chair and when I did, my knees were right up against the chair in front of me! LOL Just an amazing speech he gave!! Local news stations refused to cover the event though :-(
