Support Explodes for Peter Schiff Senate Bid
January was an electrifying month for the grassroots campaign to draft Peter Schiff for a potential US Senate run. Here are some of the highlights:
• http://www.schiff2010.com/ was converted to a highly professional beta site
• Since its inception in December, http://www.schiff2010.com/ has attracted the interest of over 11,000 unique visitors
• A contest to redesign the official website logo attracted 70 quality entries, and the winner will be unveiled shortly
• The Schiff for Senate Facebook page has grown to over 1,200 new members
• The campaign was specifically mentioned in CNN Money, the Wall Street Journal, Baltimore Sun, US News & World Report, Norwich Bulletin, and Hartford Courant
• An independently organized money bomb for February 21st, in coordination with the grassroots campaign, has already received over 300 pledges (http://www.schiffbomb.com/)
• The campaign gave its first interview with Restore the Republic Radio Network, and is scheduled to interview with Break the Matrix this coming weekend
• Meetup groups in support of a potential Schiff bid have been popping up all over the nation
• New campaign features such as a phone banking system, online canvassing system, and fundraising tools for both the official campaign and independent groups are nearing completion and will be available soon

If you've ever heard Schiff's radio show you'd know why he'd make a great senator. He can talk and talk and talk. He could filibuster the entire term.

Schiff himself has said he has no interest in running. Why not seek candidates that actually want the job?

Jesse would be in the Senate, not one of the 2 clowns still not seated. He flipped a coin with his wife shortly before the filing deadline and it came up "keep on surfin' in Mexico". America lost.

Although I feel the senate should be chosen by the state legislature,I hope this spreads like wildfire.
In this case theirs no party (republican,democrat) marching out their selected puppet.

Yes get rid of the 17th
We should repeal the 17th amendment. Federalism is pretty much gone with it there. The national government in Washington runs rough shod over states. The Senate could provide a check on it, if the states were represented by their Senators.
We sure can't let them get direct election of the President!
