""Coalitions of interest" have, post-NAFTA, been promoting and developing four north-south trade routes down the continent, according to a Montreal-based organization calling itself the North American Forum on Integration: the Atlantic corridor; the Central-Eastern corridor; the Central-Western corridor; and the Pacific corridor.
They're well-established, featuring roads, highways, pipelines, railways, river canal systems, ports and telecommunications networks. All are components of North American integration.
Moreover, if the U.S. enacts a protectionist provision that violates the letter and spirit of the North American Free Trade Agreement, what's to stop Canada from following suit?
NAFTA provisions currently guarantee the U.S. a steady supply of Canadian crude and hydro power, resources the U.S. simply couldn't do without.
No one is suggesting Canada move to cut the power, only to remind Americans of how dastardly the concept of abrogating the spirit of NAFTA, in its application, conceivably could be.
Economically, the two countries are joined at a hip known as the 49th parallel; it's too late to rip the ball from the socket.

States declaring sovereignty
may have a BIG effect on this too.
yeah, my wish is that the Governors of those States...
call their National Guard troops back to their home States and send them to the borders, as in Arizona, Washington, and Montana...just to make a big point to Washington D.C..

This is where the Committees of Safety comes into play
The national guard is under federal control, this is why their members are being sent overseas.
What we need are state's militias which can be called from their homes, not from overseas.
The National Guard will not be sent to protect the nations borders because the feds have no intention of doing any such thing.
If states send their militias to protect their borders, THEN you will see the federales show up, not to protect the border, but to wage war upon the several states.
Can you understand my reservations about pushing the state militia thing?
I can see it leading to civil war. Just what 'they' want.
I support the restoration of states militias, but given our current political climate, it scares the crap out of me.

Here in my state they do everything to criminalize militias and throw the members in jail however they can.
