"The way Ron Paul tells it, his more than 30 years of speaking and writing about money, inflation, and the Federal Reserve System attracted only limited interest outside libertarian and constitutionalist circles. The subject, and Paul as its spokesman, were scarcely to be found in the media, even—or perhaps especially—on the business networks.
But Paul’s 2008 presidential bid changed that. Suddenly the Fed was on the table for discussion for the first time since Congress established it in 1913. With Paul making the evils of central banking and fiat money a theme of his campaign, the issue took on a vigor that few expected. Even calling for the Fed’s outright abolition was longer unheard of on the television news networks.

Need expert collaboration to spoonfeed Joe Sixpack on Fed
Without a lot of conceptual and marketing work, the federal reserve is way too complicated an issue for Joe Sixpack. We need to spoonfeed the American people. IMHO, we need a coalition of Austrian economists, the best and the brightest of activists (such as uber meetup organizers), and libertarian PR/marketing/advertising geniuses to get together and figure out ways to explain facts in ways that are both easy to understand and emotionally compelling.
My impression from attending and volunteering at the Philly End the Fed Rally was that it was a lot of fun for us, but will not have much impact if it continues to run like that. Fliers were written in a way that are likely to attract a small segment of conspiracy-oriented readers. IMHO, fliers and other outreach efforts should be crafted to show Joe Sixpack, in clear and compelling ways, the concrete destructive impact that the Fed has on the economy, and by extension on Joe's kitchen-table issues. In order to pull this off, uber-activists must collaborate with Austrian economists and PR/marketing/advertising geniuses.

Real change vs counterfeit
Dr Paul represents real change. The establishment put forward a counterfeit change with Barack Obama.
Thinking people will be seeing thru him quite soon.

At least he has brought the the Federal Reserve into the limelight, and now that their actions are looking so lame, more and more people are beginning to question their purpose. I'm sure Dr. Paul's new book will be filled with some glaring new examples of misuse of American money, and hopefully it will have some comments by the likes of Schiff and others. Let's send it to #1!

I have not heard a plausible way to replace the fed with "honest money". I am sure Ron has a plan but I have not read a detailed expanation as to how to succeed in such a huge project... any comments.. thanks

A Great Magazine
One that every classic/old right/paleo conservative should subscribe to!
Very Good, But..
.
Everyone in Congress knows of Dr. Paul, his integrity, his smarts and that he is right. But will that change anything? Not likely. The Congress and the people at the FED are not known for integrity or acting in the best interests of the U.S.; nor are the people in the media. The idea of upsetting the status quo, however sensible, is not going to happen. The FED will remain, and it will be business as usual, despite the good attention Dr. Paul is getting and which the book is likely to receive.
The best one can hope for is to save Dr. Paul's books, ideas, speeches and to implement them in a few years, after the U.S.A. has destroyed itself. They will be a fine model for rebuilding - if that ever happens.
Ron Paul is slowly changing this country...
The things I've learned since following Dr. Paul's campaign are priceless.
I thank God I didn't fall prey to the socialist economists like Paul Krugman who poisons many minds.
If economics is taught improperly in schools (Such as touting Keynesian or socialism) it will do more harm than if it were not taught at all.
Economics is a MORAL based discipline and how a person thinks about what is the governments proper role in a nation's economy tells a whole lot about them.
Thank you Dr. Paul for showing me the way to truth.
