Lew Rockwell: The Answer To This Mess Is Freedom

I truly hope he is right.
I found Lew's viewpoint uplifting, however the problem is I think his scenario assumes that all we have to concern ourselves with is America's Fed and govt. but, unfortunately, there's these other entities or forces called the NWO and the IMF and the World Bank that are waiting in the wings (and who have been plotting for many years) to capitalize (pun intended) on the collapse of the dollar by ushering in a new world currency to replace the failing currencies of the world.
And if I'm understanding Lew right he's implying we don't have to do anything political to prevent this. We just need to take care of ourselves and our families and communities and weather the storm and eventually the free market forces will bring the establishment down and then the free market forces will work to build a new honest, sound monetary system. Isn't that what he's saying?
If it is, I don't agree that we don't have to do anything political to out manuever the NWO forces and prevent them from becoming the new "establishment" for America.
Maybe I should listen to his speech again but that is what he seems to be saying. I'd be interested in hearing any different views from anyone who thinks he is not implying that we don't have to do anything political.
Please tell me the economic forces that are causing the collapse of the America dollar are working only in favor of the American people and not the NWO, too. (Kidding)
And do not read into my viewpoint of Lew's speech that I don't agree that understanding Austrian economics doesn't give me a mental and spiritual advantage over others who don't understand it. It most certainly does. And don't think I believe that "there's nothing we can do to stop the NWO" because the opposite is true. The r3volution has the talent, courage and integrity to do it and we will come up with a way!
My only purpose in writing this is to express my disagreement with the idea that we don't have to do anything political to handle this mess, if in fact that is what Lew is implying.

Is the American herd ready for freedom, though? Do they actually want it?
That they do not is what
That they do not is what worries me the most. So many people just accept that its fine for the government to rob us, to tell us where to go, what to think, how to behave. The people have slipped into a herd mentality and most of them willingly accept their roles as cattle. Thank God for the people here who are not afraid to think and to be responsible - you keep me sane.

Writing in 1949, Ludwig von Mises might have been talking to today's pundits:
"There is no means of avoiding a final collapse of a boom brought about by credit expansion. The alternative is only whether the crisis should come sooner as the result of voluntary abandonment of further credit expansion, or later as the final and total catastrophe of the currency involved."
We have staved off recession under the last two Presidents via Keynesian salve delaying the day of reckoning for what ails us. We must now endure a structural re-set (that's the nasty "d" word) as a consequence of those decisions by Congress and the Executive. Eventually, and sooner rather than later, the populous will find itself at the crossroads of history;choosing freedom, a return to our ideals and guiding principals or some type quasi Communist society/economy. The status quo won't be a choice. At that point of recognition, I have faith that they will choose Freedom.

But one thing we can hold to (among others) is that is does not take a majority (as someone famous once said!) to bring change. In our case, we just have to hope they'll be enough--a critical mass--to embrace it.
Just last night during conversation at an event, my husband asked someone at our table point blank, "Do you think it's the government's job to provide health care?" Answer: "Yes, I do" and other nodding heads accompanied that response.
Ugh. Outnumbered...again.
I hope someone
was vigorously shaking their head NO. It only takes one to shake his head NO to release the others to do it. (That is proven on a video that has come through here.)
