How about Burton W. Folsom Jr.?
He's a great as well. I had a conversation with him while he was writing his New Deal book and I said it was a "raw deal." Maybe I helped influenced the title. Pretty cool.
He's written other great stuff. I recommend "The Myth of the Robber Barons" by him. It's a blowing away of the myth that people like Rockefeller of Standard Oil, and Vanderbilt were "robber barons." Actually they were just smart business men who succeeded without government help through market competition. He distinguishes between these and "political entrepreneurs" which are businessmen that use government intervention to get ahead. Those are the people that people like Vanderbilt were competing with.
I think Folsom is going to be on again tonight, not sure.

The most disturbing development of this moment is that political leaders don't consider any alternative to the excessive spending plans and that all criticism and contemplation on the dire consequences is already labelled as 'unpatriotic' before it is uttered. Because "we need to act fast." Trillions of Dollars, Euro’s and Roubles are being burned in a bonfire of the desperate. despite the calls for fast decision making, the first effects on the economy can only be expected as from end of the year, the multiplier effect will show up too late, and in any case the ‘stimulus package’ will remain a drop in the ocean of hyperinflation and second wave credit card and insurance company defaults. We are broke and society will notice soon…

Did anyone hear his little 2 minute sketch on the Fed yesterday on his radio show? I could not believe I was actually hearing it! It was done all zany like, but it was a great expose on the problems the FED has caused for this country. It seems like he thinks that most people will zone out and get bored if he talks about this stuff, so he feels like he has to make it entertaining. Despite that, he showed a profound knowledge of the role of the Federal Reserve in our current economic mess.

How Beck was all over the New World Order during the last weeks of his CNN show? He was even calling for a Revolution practically.
Since he has been with FOX he has toned all of that down. It's like he knew his show was about to be cancelled and he could get away with whatever he wanted to really say.

Notice how he has to make his disclaimer every time he mentions Ron Paul " now I don`t believe in most of Ron Paul`s positions" but he`s correct on the economy. And the way he was poking fun of the name of the Ludwig Von Misses Institute today on his radio show. But he claims he is a Libertarian.
Isn`t he the one that said all Ron Paul supporters are terrorist and should be treated as such?

Beck has said many times he doesn't agree with Dr. Paul on the his foreign policy. Just search the internet for something like beck disagress with ron paul foreign policy or something like that.
Beck is a neocon, there's no doubt. Your definition of neoconservatism is very narrow, by your definition President Wilson would be a neocon and we all know he's not. Wilson wanted to spread our "goodness" to the world, i.e. democracy.
Now these neocon goons not only want to spread our "goodness" but also force democracy down people's throats, or even "kick a small country's ass once in a while to show everybody who's in charge" if they have to - just read some of Bill Kristol's garbage - the quoted text is a part of his philosophy. Neocons also believe in securing natural resources all around the world as if they're ours.
Neoconservatism is nothing but imperialism in the modern age.
Maybe he
