Ruin Your Health With the Obama Stimulus Plan
Feb. 9 (Bloomberg) -- Republican Senators are questioning whether President Barack Obama’s stimulus bill contains the right mix of tax breaks and cash infusions to jump-start the economy.
Tragically, no one from either party is objecting to the health provisions slipped in without discussion. These provisions reflect the handiwork of Tom Daschle, until recently the nominee to head the Health and Human Services Department.
Senators should read these provisions and vote against them because they are dangerous to your health. (Page numbers refer to H.R. 1 EH, pdf version).
The bill’s health rules will affect “every individual in the United States” (445, 454, 479). Your medical treatments will be tracked electronically by a federal system. Having electronic medical records at your fingertips, easily transferred to a hospital, is beneficial. It will help avoid duplicate tests and errors.
But the bill goes further. One new bureaucracy, the National Coordinator of Health Information Technology, will monitor treatments to make sure your doctor is doing what the federal government deems appropriate and cost effective. The goal is to reduce costs and “guide” your doctor’s decisions (442, 446). These provisions in the stimulus bill are virtually identical to what Daschle prescribed in his 2008 book, “Critical: What We Can Do About the Health-Care Crisis.” According to Daschle, doctors have to give up autonomy and “learn to operate less like solo practitioners.”

Medical records requirements in my small town
I live in Roseburg OR, population approx 22k, Douglas County population approx 100k. Doctors are somewhat scarce in this area so to begin with our choices are slim. Most of the doctors belong to The Douglas County Independent Physician Association. DCIPA doctors are now requiring that their patients sign a release form that allows them to photograph you and store all of your records online in a database that is available to all DCIPA members countywide. If you don't sign you don't get treated.
DCIPA uses a system by Initiate Systems, Inc. While researching I found a power point presentation prepared by this software company. Here's the link: http://ruralhealth.und.edu/projects/sorh/files/initiate_webi.... Douglas County IPA is listed as a current healthcare exchange client on slide number 8. Slide 11 describes "data hubs" as physician, police, criminal records, social services, hospital, parents, siblings, birth records and school all feeding data on you to the Initiate Identity Hub. Slide 13 shows local data feeding to state, state to federal, and federal to world organizations. Draw your own conclusions.
If you look at www.initiatesystems.com home page they have a white paper titled: "Blueprint for a Nationwide Master Person Index" that you can download where they explain that their software does away with the need for the politically unpopular national identifier.
Whenever HIPAA laws are referred to as "privacy" laws I bristle. How can requiring all health claims to be traded in one single format contribute to your privacy? It makes it easier not more difficult to share, trade, analyze and research data if all records are in the same format. How does making access easier to your medical history also make it more private? Makes no sense.
I just don't understand how anyone can be eager to sign on the dotted line agreeing to have all of their personal information stored in databases that are accessible to government at all levels. Where's the outrage? Where's the uproar?
The last time I tried to see a doctor and was asked to sign the paper, I made a big stink about it, refusing to sign. Without treatment, I walked out the door when another patient approached me and asked me what it was I was upset about. I told her I felt this was an invasion of my privacy and could only lead to a further erosion of our freedom. She said 'Oh, I didn't even read it when they asked me to sign it, I thought it was just another one of the privacy papers they always hand out.'
Wow! This is scarey and very intrusive!
Have you looked into the Real ID Compliant Driver's Licenses now required by our state? The ultimate goal is to have a global data base, and the company that provides the licenses, L-1 Identity Solutions, has customers in China.
For years the doctors offices have attempted to use SS# as account numbers, and I get really dirty looks when I refuse! It is disturbing that so many people are in Lala Land and don't even THINK!
reckon it all comes down to
reckon it all comes down to the corporations........

Euthanasia ...
Here we come! Actually, it's already taking place (under cover, so to speak) in just about every hospital and hospice. If this thing passes, it will be institutionalized and receive the blessings of government.
Every so often we get treated to a story about some killer nurse who has run amok, snuffing out scores of patients. What most people don't realize is that that mindset was implanted during their training. While most people (so far) don't act out on that mindset (because of a residual Christian morality), a few clueless wackos take it to heart and believe they are doing the world a service by killing off "useless eaters." Once government controls who gets treatment and who doesn't, that mindset is going to kick in with a vengance because, frankly, there's less and less of that residual Christian morality to buck the agenda).
The entire US allopathic "death care" system, was developed under the thumb of John D. Rockefeller. So, now you know why it's so misguided.
I suggest that everyone find a good alternative doctor, eat only healthy foods and supplements, NEVER sign any advance directives and do not resuscitate orders (that allow hospitals to withdraw food and hydration, as well as not resuscitate you even when the procedure would return you to NORMAL).
Health care is a sick joke ... just like banking and politics.
No one is immune to Obama's destruction of health
Obama is even going after the veteran's tricare insurance and VA benefits.
http://soldiersmind.com/2009/01/07/proposed-tricare-cuts-cou...
This fits with a medical school interview I had at the military medical school. The interviewer gave me as the medical personnel the option to take only a limited number of soldiers in a helicopter. They were either healthy, wounded, or critical. I answered incorrectly and took the wounded and critical. The correct answer was the healthy and only some of the wounded that could fit. I did not join the military, so could not verify if this is how the military operates. However, the philosophy according to the officer was that we need the healthy to move the front line. Medical support is only for morale. The wounded do nothing to help win the battle.
I do see this in practice with VA hospitals, the care their is subpar compared to private hospitals.
I guess you could extrapolate this to the civilian population. Do not care for the baby boomers and elderly. Keep the tax base healthy to keep paying taxes and let the old die. Unbelievable that the liberals are suppose to be the compassionate ones.
The medical test you took is a form of "Life Boat"
Life Boat is taught in PUBLIC SCHOOLS and has been taught for many years. Children are given a description of a number of people in need of rescue (old, young, sickly, etc.). The problem arises because there are too many people for the lifeboat. So, children are required to make a choice about who they will save, and who they will let die. Needless to say, the able bodied are the "correct" people to save ... the elderly, young and sickly go overboard. This is a depressing exercise for many sensitive kids.
Because children are being told by an authority that they MUST choose who lives and who dies, some of them take this to heart even to the point of killing themselves rather than having to kill someone else. It may be a leading cause of the high suicide rate among young people today.
You can thank the US Department of Education and their bosses at the Fed for this sorry state of affairs.
Life Boat is a Moral Fallacy
This life boat scenario is a moral fallacy! It rarely ever occur in real life situations. They use this rarely occurred situation to destroy the moral fiber of Americans. When people are really faced with such life and death decisions, they decision is often not what they think they would make when they are NOT in the situation. Besides, this does not apply to medical care at all. There is a third and possible way that everyone can be saved, that is for the Gov't to leave medical care to the market. They never contemplate THAT solution. I know the Constitution is disregarded for a long time, but now I think the death of America is really coming!
Life Boat teaches Moral Degeneracy to Children!
We agree on that.
Unfortunately, it's application is not so rare as you think. Most especially, It is practiced daily in medical situations across the country. The case of Terry Schiavo is no isolated incident. Her story just received a lot of publicity.
And, because we allowed abortion on demand to eradicate untold millions of our fellow Americans (1.5 million a year X 36 years and counting), deeming them expendable, it is now our turn to enter the death mills and be exterminated like pests.
We reap what we sow.
Amen!
The horrific genocide of unborn babies is one of the many vile American practices that is incurring the tremendous wrath of God that we can all see looming over this nation. The only hope and refuge anyone can have is to repent and put his faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Christ's shed blood is the only cleansing for our sins, the only way by which we can receive forgiveness. Christ is the One in whom we can find refuge from the coming wrath. Turn to Him, all who are weary, and receive forgiveness and newness of life. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us. Jesus is the only refuge from the coming wrath. Take heed, all who have ears to hear.
Electronic Medical Records KILL?
I keep seeing the qualification about electronic medical records being a good thing. I have seen this in print and video, and the sentiment seems nearly unanimous. I assume those espousing this view are either unaware, or are simply attempting to seem fair and balanced in their reportage (or worse, just doing what they're told!).
I have recently done some research on electronic medical records (or EMR) as a part of a business opportunity and found the following:
1. Not all doctors or health care professionals support the use of EMR's. Few in the private practice of medicine regard EMR as a worthwhile endeavor; in fact, there is a HUGE resistance to EMR's!
2. Doctor's are VERY reluctant to use EMR's as they may be held personally liable for any errors that may be contained therein. (Can you spell malpractice?)
3. Many doctors feel the use of EMR's impedes the doctor-patient relationship they believe critical to effective patient care.
4. Many -- if not most -- doctors feel the implementation of EMR systems is too expensive, especially considering the vagueness of the benefit and the imposition it puts upon their ability to practice medicine.
5. Statistical analysis proves the use of EMR's is actually DETRIMENTAL to the health of the patient; mortality rates are higher WITH the use of EMR's than without!
I ultimately decided not to get involved in the business venture as I felt it was not the "right thing to do". But I did figure there would be an enormous money-making opportunity for those who chose to put income in front of principle. The fact is, government LIKES EMR's (I'll leave it to the reader to determine why, but let me just hint that the reasoning has nothing to do with concern for patients!). State governments are starting to pony up hefty sums to "get the ball rolling" where the private sector has fallen down in their responsibilities (once again, the failure of capitalism?). It was only a matter of time before the feds started mandating...
I'd like to see a little more dedication...if you don't know about a particular subject, do NOT assume the positive! Just keep your mouth shut! (Especially so for news-reader-babes!)
In the end, perhaps, there is good news: since the government -- and the country -- is broke, citizens can rest assured that none of the benefits of EMR's will ever be enjoyed...of course, the controls WILL remain in effect!
Fox vid proves Specter clueless on details
This is hard to find since the uploader called him Arlene Spector. But it shows he was clueless about the health care reform and electronic access to medical records. And how many times have we seen this played out in Congress--I am beginning to believe that these bills are made exorbitantly large on purpose, because they know that the very people who decide on them won't bother reading them.

As a physician in the middle of all this...
I would like to say that I am surprised by these sleazy attempts to hijack another huge part of the American economy, but I'm not.
Actually this kind of creeping socialism has been going on for years in health care with the HMO/Pharamaceutical cartel and the Federal government playing "bad cop / worse cop" with our health as hostage.
But the real problems are either too nuanced, complex, or un-sexy for the American public to worry about.
They want simple answers to complex problems and want the MSM to dress their villains in black hats so that they can boo them on cue.
Meanwhile the REAL villains are taking over the WORLD, not just our health care system.

Yea yea yea....
It is all too complex we should just go watch some pharmaceutical commercials and shut the f*** up. Right?
It is all too complex too many syllables, I think I will take a nap...
Yes I am purposely overly focusing on only one aspect of your post. It just annoys me that you are correct. Most people are sleeping sheep, and are not going to wake up anytime soon without being told. Sooner or later if we want balance to be in the form of sovereignty we will have to start screaming so loud it bounces back off the exosphere to wake them up.
We will need to convey that things are really not that complicated.

Yea, way too complicated...
Well it isn't too complicated if all you want is to decide...
how much the Federal government should be involved in personal health care.
Zero. Nada. Zip.
But if you want the Feds involved it really does get complicated.
No way around it.

So...
Will you comply with the 'law' even if your patients wish you to not disclose their confidential information to big brother?
I will continue to honor my oath.
If a patient does not want to share their medical information with someone or something else, I will not divulge it.
You can ask my wife. Even if her best friend has a stroke in my ER, she won't hear about it from me.
The question is, will YOU (and other patients) be willing to pay a doctor out of your own pocket when all of the insurance companies, Medicare, Medicaid, and Obama's Universal Health Care require confidential medical information before they will release any funds?

Worldwide Workless Week!
Stop the gears! Now!
You are right!
That's the one and only thing "they" will hear ... the sound of nothing going on and no money being made.
But how the heck do we get it started? Any ideas?
Just bought the domain...
www.worldwideworklessweek.com
haha I still think it has a nice ring to it. And its generic "week" so we could set it up as generically deciding to pick any particular and shut shit completely down whenever something starts to drift astray again. Like the BS "stimulus" etc.
A website?
Maybe that is the first place.
Have it collect names and when they can start.
Then do a cluster analysis as time goes by and after so many days or so many names, develop based on proposed start dates the real start date.
Then there is just viraling the "knowing" of it...
Hmm that could be something to push with just as well. Even just the threat of say 1 billion people worldwide to engage in a workless week at the same time, and the generic proven mechanics to do it whenever we want, might cause the powers that be to change the monopolistic pattern a bit. Maybe enough of a change to avoid more catastrophic paths to balance.
And be able to show we aren't trying to burn anyone at the stake. We just want the more unethical spikes of imbalance done away with, permanently.
The one and only voice of God, is silence :)
Yes, Fed-Gov Will Decide Appropriate Medical Treatments
What an abomination!!!!!!! I saw this the other day and I didn't get the chance to post this outrage! Who the H_ _ _ gave these people the right to determine what our medical treatments should be??? How dare they??? Daschle ought to be hung up along with all those supporting this fascist system of regulating us to the death...literally!
I shouldn't be suprised because over the years I've seen our once commonsense medical system go from doctors home visits and accepting payments over time to work with the patient, to the insurance companies and government taking over EVERY aspect of medical care.
Thanks to all the ignoramouses who never knew what it was like before there was insurance, etc., we will now have a complete monopoly of total control over what "standard" treatment we get, the drugs prescribed and no alternative treatments, vitamins, herbs, etc. allowed.
Obviously it is tailored precisely so that we stay chronically sick to keep the money flowing into this entrenched, insane system.
So, more sickness = more money...forever!

The FDA has taken a bunch of prescription medications off the market, including the one my doctor has had me on for allergy related fluid in the ears causing equilibrium problems, according to my pharmacist, when I called in a refill. That medication I was taking has done wonders for my ear problems, but my pharmacist said the FDA says they have no proof it even works, and may even cause problems. It was only an antihistamine/decongestant, and has worked better than anything else I've ever tried. Our doctor's rights are surely being taken away.

Allergies are related to malfunctioning adrenal glands
Vitamin B5 can often alleviate allergic reactions. There's a Dr. Kurt Donsbach on the web, who has been forced south of the border to Mexico, who explains what triggers allergies. He has a product, which includes B5.
Probably, the FDA took your prescription off the market because it had a good effect. Or, its patent ran out and it was no longer lucrative.
Meanwhile, I'd order the Xlear, though it's more about stopping infections than stopping fluid buildup.

Xlear Nasal Wash. Google it and check it out. I use it to prevent colds and sinus infections.
damn it... Why does
damn it... Why does Daschle/the government care about MY medical care?
I could maybe understand if it was optional, but sheesh.
I just don't understand why people can't mind their own business.... Let me make my own decisions and just leave me alone please.

...playing their role. And everyone who does anything they don't really want to do which involves trading their own invaluable human time for imaginary value. This, dictated by higher order energy sinks, serves only to continue to feed an ever increasing disparity of numbers between slavery and sovereignty.
Again, balance is coming and it does not care whether each individual chooses slavery or sovereignty. We always have a myriad of options from which to choose.
They are as we once were or could be presented with the same options.
