India to launch cow urine as soft drink

Does your Pepsi lack pep? Is your Coke not the real thing? India's Hindu nationalist movement apparently has the answer: a new soft drink made from cow urine.
The bovine brew is in the final stages of development by the Cow Protection Department of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), India's biggest and oldest Hindu nationalist group, according to the man who makes it.
Om Prakash, the head of the department, said the drink – called "gau jal", or "cow water" – in Sanskrit was undergoing laboratory tests and would be launched "very soon, maybe by the end of this year".
"Don't worry, it won't smell like urine and will be tasty too," he told The Times from his headquarters in Hardwar, one of four holy cities on the River Ganges. "Its USP will be that it's going to be very healthy. It won't be like carbonated drinks and would be devoid of any toxins."

We have 31 ice cream flavors they have 101 . One being "raw" horseflesh flavor. mmmmm...or what about shrimp flavored ice cream....

And it all tasted pretty good. I don't remember the names which one was what, but I like a peach (Momo) flavored whatever ?

Most people think of sake as the country’s indigenous alcoholic beverage, but in today’s Japan, the drink called shochu now outsells sake.

The word shochu is written with the Chinese characters for “fiery liquor”. Until about 30 years ago, many people considered it rotgut that was the beverage of choice of old geezers from the country who sat on the floor in their sweat-stained undershirts and knocked it back straight.

I used to live in Italy for 4 years and was wondering why people drink wine with every meal......well.....the answer is because they want to have a long life-span being healthy.

My wife's home island and Shochu

Kamato Hongo was born on a small island in the southern Amami Islands called Tokushima in 1887, when Japan was still in the throes of its conversion from an isolated pre-industrial feudal country to a modern democracy. She had seven children, 27 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren when she passed way at age 116. She practiced teodori (a type of traditional slow dance that uses hand movements), ate a fairly traditional diet of fish, local vegetables and soy products, and drank green tea. She never smoked but counted drinking a glass of local shochu liquor as one of her favorite things. The island Tokunoshima has also produced allegedly the oldest man ever on record, Shigechiyo Izumi, who died at the age of 120 in 1986.

Note: I met Mr. Shigechiyo Izumi in 1985 and a local Shochu Distiller uses his name on their Shochu, "Long Life".

Yr comment made me barf a little so I did some research...

Bee vomit implies this bee got sick and threw up out of it's stomach. Bee Regurgitation (honey) is when the bee stores it's nectar in a compartment separate from the "true stomachs" where enzymes break it down into honey. OKAY??
