NH HCR6 Railroaded in the Executive Session

http://www.youtube.com/wa...

Part II: http://www.youtube.com/wa...

-By femontr

"Earlier this month the public hearing for HCR6 (Jeffersonian Principles) was thronged with supporters. Not a single voice against the bill.

Now we have the Executive Session, where the bill is railroaded to ITL. A movement to ITL comes quickly from Patrick Garrity and is seconded by Dom Domingo.

Several Reps speak passionately for the bill, most notably Alfred Baldasaro and Lars Christiansen. Christiansen holds up a sheaf of emails from constituents supporting the bill. Not one Rep speaks against it or gives the slighest hint of why it should be opposed.

And yet when the vote comes, it is overwhelmingly against the bill.

Why? Why did they vote against it? And why aren't they explaining why they did so?

Something is very wrong here."

Rep. Alfred Baldasaro: Get the word out!

Although I'm not from NH, I'm hoping the sovereignty issue will snowball here and in other states. Forcing light on the constitution(s) makes it more difficult to keep ignoring it. I sent Rep. Alfred Baldasaro a supportive email before. Here's his reply:

Thanks,
Rep Patrick Garrity (D) from Manchester made the motion to ITL (KILL) HCR 6 and Rep Domingo (D) 2nd with no explanation.

As you are aware the vote was 11-7 to ITL where 6 out of the 7 Republicans present voted to oppose ITL (KILL) with Rep. Peppino who made a mistake on
his vote to ITL.

All Democrats on the committee except Rep Roberts (D) voted to KILL (ITL) HCR 6.

We hope to take the fight to the floor of the house for all State Reps to vote either next week or the week after our February vacation.

I recommend you get the word out for all to contact every Democrat Legislator in the state, from the Governor on down and tell them to support HCR 6.

Tell them to ask why the Democrats in committee would vote to ITL and not even give an explanation why?

The people of NH deserve to know why.

Thank You,

AL

Thanks for that info.

Thanks for that info. Between this and the bailout and 'stimulus' vote party breakdown, and despite the best efforts of militarist neocons, there really appears to be very good reasons for why Dr. Paul is a Republican. Most of them can hardly be called perfect, but at least there's some sanity there. The Democrats, both in NH and nationally, are way beyond the pale. We need to make them pay dearly for these despicable votes whenever they are up for reelection.

I couldn't agree more!!!

thomasgray says:

This is only step one on the path. They pull this kind of crap because they think we're easily dissuaded and distracted and that this one hiccup is going to move us from this important path. We need to show them that this is not the case.

We need to hold the people who railroaded it and the people who voted against it accountable and we need to be clear about why they are being held accountable. We also need to stop using rhetoric that is unnecessary - as other posters here have suggested - and make us sound a trifle fanatical at times. Then we need to try to pass this liegislation or something very much like it again. And again. Until it's passed.

Let me add that by supporting anything other than State Sovereignty they are breaching the constitutional compact and committing treason! Lincoln be damned! The view of State Sovereignty, though normally noted as Jeffersonian, is the view of the Founders-- not just Jefferson!!!!! I'm not a history major but I don't think Lincoln was present at the Constitutional Convention of 1787- nor Daniel Webster- nor Joseph Story! Find any constitutional theory text book, such as the ones used at historically notable colleges like West Point, and every text up to 44 years after ratification will give you the same State Sovereignty view. Is because there were no big-government Federalists? Of course not-- John Jay and Hamilton come to mind. However all at the time recognized that the states were sovereign and they had to advance their goals by covertly scheming. If we had the same "one nation" view back then as we do today-- this country would have busted wide open long before the south seceded.

•Madison in a letter to Edward Everett, in 1830 said that the Constitution was “a compact among the States in their highest sovereign capacity.”
Elsewhere in this same letter he refers to the states as “the parties to the Constitutional compact.”

•The first chief justice of the Supreme Court, John Jay, who believed in the expansion of federal power, in the case of Chisholm v. State of Georgia, “expressly declares that the Constitution of the United States is a compact.”

•The sixth president of the United States, John Quincy Adams, stated “Our Constitution of the United States and all our State Constitutions, have been voluntary compacts.”

•In the Federalist No. 85, Hamilton referred to the Constitution as “[t]he compacts which are to embrace thirteen distinct States in a common bond of amity and Union.” He also explained that, if it were to be altered in any way, those changes “must undergo a new decision of each State.”

The man who was head of the committee on attending to the diction, or wording of the Constitution, Gouverneur Morris of Pennsylvania, in his book The Life and Writings of, wrote that the meaning behind the phrase “We the people” which he authored, and the actual Constitution itself was a compact not between individuals, but between political societies, the people, not to America, but of the United States, each enjoying sovereign power and of course equal rights. That means in a nutshell that the states were sovereign before ratification and remained as such after the Constitution was ratified.

As an interesting side note. Our good friend GOP Chairwoman Sue Lowden supported the bill.

Our enemies are deeply imbedded in the system

We have a pseudo-representative system. When the oligarchs can't move their agenda forward through a vote of the brainwashed masses, they simply ignore the people, pull the necessary strings, and impose their agenda.

For centuries we have been wending our way toward a one world COMMUNIST system. Now we are careening toward that brick wall at the speed of light.

This whole plan was hatched at least 300 years ago to destroy the Roman Catholic Church, the Catholic culture of Europe and the European monarchies. Our pseudo-education system has poisoned the minds of people against the old world order while offering us bread and circuses ... basically entertaining us as they rearranged or disposed of the old social and political structures that held human life as sacred.

Control of the whole enchilada is in the hands of the Jewish bankers ... the Rothschilds most specifically, the minions of satan and the sworn enemies of Christ. They have created a network of evil (Illuminati, Freemasons, CFR, etc.) that can reach even into little New Hampshire to undo the will of the (expendable) people.

The battle is between Christ and satan. Each and every one of us must take sides. Any other battle is simply a diversion, creating chaos which the oligarchs typically use to their advantage.

Republicanism was simply step one on the way to Communism, Both are anti-God. Both lead to hell.

"Our pseudo-education system has poisoned the minds of people."

An example is the comment coming from one of the 'poisoned' minds of one of the NH 'representatives' in the video.*

He said for the record: "I would not support this legislation because I think (on Lincoln's 200th birthday) Lincoln would be insulted if we supported this bill based on Jeffersonian principles."

Oh how patriotic he sounds (barf). Indeed, Lincoln WOULD be insulted though: Hear on the Lew Rockwell show this interview with Tom DiLorenzo to learn some of the REAL history about not-so-honest Abe: http://www.lewrockwell.com/podcast/?p=episode&name=2008-10-0...

* Video of NH legislature (from yesterday) - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ilpi4mk4_fs

Actually, I've already read DiLorenzo's book ...

A few years ago, he gave a talk at a local college. I attended the lecture and bought the book.

Abe was a shrewd dude, not at all like history portrays him. The fact is, we are treated to fake history on every event. There's a saying that goes something like "he who wins the war gets to write the history." We need to start reading the other side of history and comparing notes. That's the only way we will ever understand what we have had to give up to get to this disgusting place.

Common sense should reveal to anyone with a brain that Lincoln's battle cry: "The Union, it must be preserved!" is diametrically opposed to the Declaration of Independence which enumerated the reasons for dissolving the union between England and the colonies.

just follow the money, all

just follow the money, all the states are now in a financial panic and the only source for a bail out comes from the federal government, there will be little done to aggravate the feds in this environment, so these provision for state sovereignty will have little support.

the sad part is that when the states can least afford to do the right thing they propose good legislation that they dare not enact.

The term Fk'n idiots comes to mind.

For what it is worth our Fk'n idiots in Canada are worse than yours.

Step one

This is only step one on the path. They pull this kind of crap because they think we're easily dissuaded and distracted and that this one hiccup is going to move us from this important path. We need to show them that this is not the case.

Then we need to try to pass this liegislation or something very much like it again. And again. Until it's passed.

It's going to be a long, hard, painfully frustrating road that we tread here, but we can either take the country back a little at a time from the bottom up or it's going to take a top down revolutionary act which will be a hideous mess. I vote for the former. There's a lot of people waking up to this and our numbers grow every single day.

Did you really expect anything different ?

Particularly with The type of rhetoric that went along with this.

For example, Things like "NH fires the first shot of civil war " ?

http://www.dailypaul.com/node/82437

This is a great example of what I've been talking about here for a while. Instead of starting a discussion of the things the Federal Government does wrong, and where it oversteps, we get "lets start a civil war"

And then everyone is so appalled and surpised when legislation is quickly and easily defeated ?

Liberty is Not Always Easy To Grasp

When They All Start To Feel The Suffering Then They Will Act, But Will It be To late? Wisdom Is needed...Is There Any Real Men Present?

What the

What the hell happened? I'm tired of getting screwed over every chance we get to have a shot at some liberty. I'm from Massachusetts and would have loved to have the State Income Tax abolished, but it didn't. Now NH gets screwed over. We need the names of these people who voted against it at the last moment.

Let us teach them a lesson for sacrificing liberty for security. Let us all make their lives that much more miserable. They only saw the short and temporary security that they would have in life offered by the villainous bribers, but are blind to see that in exchange THEY and many more would suffer in the long run.

Take a stand, step it up, and prove to them that sacrificing liberty for temporary security would only result in the opposite. Instead of having the crooks surround their house with guns controlling them, let's have the patriots of this country surround their houses.

you now know who they are...

go after them....make their life....hard

I didn't understand what exactly

they are voting for, but 11 voted for it & 7 voted against it.

...which according to the site means

11 voted to kill the bill and 7 voted to pass it anyway...(site says voting works the opposite with ITL)...

let me get this straight, ITL means a bill or act that they know that they are not gonna pass? so when it comes to the floor they know they dont want it to pass and they vote (eye)?

When will the ppl see?...

It's US AGAINST THEM FOLKS.

I agree with the other responder.

Now I will vote against your actual message. haha j/k :)

It is such a silly game isn't it?

We have more cars than everyone could ever drive. We can produce more food than anyone could eat. We can purify more water than anyone could drink in a lifetime. Yet these silly humans still vie for each others time like it was gold, when all that is needed is mere execution of the will of appreciation.

It is comedic though, which as you know has its roots in tragedy.

Balance is coming, I recommend choosing sovereignty.

Never, apparently.

'they' have convinced the slaves to enjoy their captivity.

if it doesn't pass on the

if it doesn't pass on the floor then take it to a referendum let the people decide.

ITL = inexpedient to legislate

It means the committee recommends not passing the bill. The full house will have to vote on it still. Remember that the opt-out for Real ID was also ITLed and still passed the house anyway. This may still pass, but if it doesn't, we'll be back next year!
