The Federalization of main street. Two cities (Allentown & Bethlehem, PA) near me are on it. Divide the $$ with the # of jobs each pork item creates....its sickening.

Any ideas
as to why some states received an abundance of the monies? After looking at the list, there were over 100 towns/cities in Illinois which received millions...and quite a few in California. Some states like Arkansas, SC, Kansas, Vermont, received very little. Any rhyme or reason as to why who got what?
Minneapolis, MN
Here, they want: Waterworks, Tunnel Rehabilitation Project-10th Avenue Southeast Tunnel System - The 10th Avenue Tunnel system was built before 1950 and is one of the tunnels we have rated in poor condition.
$1.3 million, creating 20 jobs.

What kind of strings are going to be attached?
I'm thinking mandated Gun banning, Fema Camp registration/kidnapping of all homeless, senior citizens, orphans, regulated "family planning" (more abortions), curfews, beefing up the police state. Good God, the cities are where they've always herded the dying farms. Are the cities just going to become massive zombie graveyards?

Wow. Grand Rapids
Grand Rapids is looking at quite the boost: $254 million and 3934 new jobs.
Go Grand Rapids! ... Oh, wait.
I guess this is the way that they will pacify their opposition. Grand Rapids is a very conservative area with a strong Christian community, but apparently they will give away their liberty for a handout. A recent poll showed this pretty clearly as the those who supported the stimulus package (either completely or if it would "give me a job") outnumbered those who opposed it.
On the plus side, this little boost should make it easier to sell my house as I look for a more self-sustaining farm up north.
Excellent post Ginny ...
Bump for front page.
